²³ Now as he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, many believed in his name at the feast, viewing his signs which he was doing.

²⁰ And he who was sown upon the rocky-areas, this is he who hears the word and immediately is receiving it with joy; ²¹ but he does not have root in himself, but is temporary, and when affliction or persecution has happened to him because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

² This one came to him by night and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God; for no one is able to do these signs which you are doing, if God is not with him.

¹⁴ Therefore, when the people saw the sign which Jesus did, they were saying, This truly is the prophet who is coming into the world.

³¹ But many out of the crowd believed in him, and they were saying, Whenever the Christ comes, he will not be doing signs more-than those which this one has done, will he?

³⁰ While speaking these things, many believed in him.
³¹ Therefore Jesus said to those Jews who have believed in him, If you abide in my word, then you truly are my disciples;

⁴² Nevertheless even many out of the rulers also believed in him, but they were not confessing it because of the Pharisees, in order that they might not become expelled from the synagogue; ⁴³ for they loved the glory from men rather than the glory from God.

⁶ For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision prevails over anything in Christ Jesus, but faith working through love.

¹⁶ in order that he may give to you, according to the riches of his glory, to be powerful with his power, through his Spirit in the inward man; ¹⁷ for the Christ to dwell in your hearts through the faith,

¹⁹ You believe that God is one; you are doing well. The demons also believe and they are shuddering. ²⁰ But O vain man, are you willing to know that faith is dead without works?
