¹ And again he began to teach beside the sea. And a large crowd was gathered together to him, so-that having stepped onto the ship, he sat in the sea, and all the crowd were next to the sea upon the land.
² And he was teaching them many things in parables and said to them in his teaching, ³ Listen : behold, the sower went forth to sow, ⁴ and it happened, while he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road and the birds came and devoured it. ⁵ But other seed fell upon the rocky-area, where it did not have much earth, and immediately it rose up, because it had no depth of earth; ⁶ now when the sun rose, it was burnt, and it dried up because it had no root. ⁷ And other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns shot up and choked it, and it gave no fruit. ⁸ And other seed fell into the good soil and it was giving fruit, shooting up and growing, and it was bringing forth by thirty times, and by sixty times, and by a hundred times as much. \ulnone\nosupersub ⁹ And he said, He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
¹⁰ And when he happened to be alone, those who were around him together with the twelve, asked about the parable. ¹¹ And he said to them, You have been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things happen in parables; ¹² in order that seeing, they may see and yet may not know, and hearing, they may hear and yet may not understand; lest they should turn again and their sins might be forgiven them.
¹³ And he says to them, Do you not know this parable? And how will you know all the parables? ¹⁴ The sower is sowing the word. ¹⁵ Now these are those beside the road, where the word is sown, and whenever they hear, immediately the Adversary comes and takes away the word which has been sown in their hearts.
¹⁶ And likewise, these are those who are sown upon the rocky-areas, who, whenever they hear the word, they immediately receive it with joy; ¹⁷ and they have no root in themselves, but are temporary. Thereafter, when affliction or persecution has happened to them because of the word, immediately they stumble.
¹⁸ And these are those who are sown among the thorns; these are those who hear the word, ¹⁹ and the anxieties of this age, and the deception of riches, and the lusts concerning all the rest of the worldly things travel into their hearts, are choking the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
²⁰ And these are those who were sown upon the good soil; who hear the word and accept it, and bear-fruit, by thirty times and by sixty times and by a hundred times.
²¹ And he said to them, Do you come with a lamp in order that it might be placed under a peck container or under the bed? No, you bring it in order that it might be placed upon the lamp-stand. ²² For there is not anything hidden, that it should not be made manifest, nor has anything secret happened, but in order that it should come into apparent view. ²³ If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.
²⁴ And he said to them, Beware what you are hearing; in what measure you measure, it will be measured to you, and to you who hear, more will be added. ²⁵ For whoever has, to him will be given, and he who does not have, then what he has will be taken from him.


²⁶ And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man cast seed upon the earth; ²⁷ and he should sleep and should arise night and day, and the seed may sprout and should lengthen, he does not know how. ²⁸ For the earth is bearing-fruit by herself; first the blade, thereafter the top, then the full grain in the top. ²⁹ But whenever the fruit is giving way, immediately he sends forth the sickle, because the harvest is standing ready.

³⁰ And he said, To what may be similar to the kingdom of God? Or in what parable may we put it in comparison? ³¹ It is like a kernel of a mustard-seed, which, whenever it is sown upon the earth, though it is least compared to all the seeds that are upon the earth, ³² yet whenever it has been sown, it shoots up and becomes greater than all the herbs and produces great branches; so-that the birds of the heaven are able to nest under its shadow.
³³ And he was speaking the word to them with many such parables, as they were able to hear it. ³⁴ But he was not speaking to them without a parable, but privately he was interpreting all things for his disciples.

³⁵ And in that day, when it became evening, he says to them, We should go through to the area beyond-that. ³⁶ And having left the crowd, they take him with them, as he was in the ship. But also other small-boats were with him. ³⁷ And there becomes a great gale of wind, and the waves were putting water into the ship, so-that the ship now was being filled with water. ³⁸ And he himself was upon the stern, sleeping upon the cushion, and they arouse him from his sleep and say to him, Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?
³⁹ And he was aroused and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Be silent. Hush. And the wind paused and there became a great calm. ⁴⁰ And he said to them, Why are you so cowardly? How do you not have faith?
⁴¹ And they feared with a great fear, and were saying to one another, Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea are obeying him?

¹³ And he went forth again beside the sea, and all the crowd was coming to him and he was teaching them.

⁷ And Jesus departed to the sea with his disciples, and a large multitude followed him from Galilee and from Judea,

¹ Now it happened, while the crowd jammed against him to hear the word of God, that he was standing beside the lake of Gennesaret; ² and he saw two ships standing empty beside the lake, but the fishermen, having stepped away from them, rinsed their nets. ³ Now he stepped onto one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and asked him to set-sail a few feet from the land. And having sat down, he was teaching the crowds out of the ship.

⁴ Now a large crowd was coming together and he spoke through a parable to those who were traveling to him from every city. ⁵ The sower went forth to sow his seed, and while he was sowing, some fell beside the road, and it was trampled down and the birds of the heaven devoured it. ⁶ And other fell upon the rock, and when it sprang up, it dried up, because it had no moisture. ⁷ And other fell in the midst of the thorns, and the thorns sprang up together with it and choked it. ⁸ And other fell into the good soil, and sprang up and produced fruit a hundred-times over. While saying these things, he was shouting, He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
⁹ But his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be about?
¹⁰ But he said, It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but it is in parables to the rest; in order that seeing, they may not see; and hearing, they may not understand.

⁴ I will incline my ear to a proverb. I will open my dark saying upon the harp.

² I will open my mouth in parables. I will pour out dark sayings of long-ago,

²⁸ And it happened, when Jesus had completed with these words, the crowds were being astounded at his teaching;

³ And he spoke many things to them in parables, saying: Behold, the sower went forth to sow;

¹⁰ And the disciples came and said to him, Why do you speak to them in parables?

³⁴ Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the crowds, and he was not speaking to them without a parable; ³⁵ that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, ‘I will open my mouth in parables. I will be uttering things which have been hidden from the conception of the world.’

²³ And having called them, he was speaking to them in parables: How is the Adversary able to cast out the Adversary?

³⁸ And he said to them in his teaching, Beware of things from the scribes, who wish to walk in long robes and to have greetings in the marketplaces,

¹⁶ Therefore Jesus answered them and said, My teaching is not mine, but from the one who sent me. ¹⁷ If anyone is willing to practice his will, he will know concerning the teaching, of what sort it is, whether from God or I speak from myself.

¹⁹ Therefore, the high-priest asked Jesus concerning his disciples and concerning his teaching.

¹ And now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and to the ordinances, which I teach you*, to do them, that you* may live and go in and possess the land which Jehovah, the God of your* fathers, gives you*.

¹¹ Come, you* children, listen to me. I will teach you* the fear of Jehovah.

¹⁰ Listen, O daughter and consider and incline your ear. Forget also your own people and your father's house.

²⁴ Now therefore, you* sons, listen to me and attend to the words of my mouth.

³² Now therefore, you* sons, listen to me. For those who keep my ways are fortunate.

⁶ Sow your seed in the morning and do not withhold your hand in the evening, because you do not know which will prosper, whether this or that, or whether they both will be good alike.

²³ Listen and hear my voice, listen and hear my speech.
²⁴ Does he who plows to sow plow continually? Does he continually open and harrow his ground? ²⁵ When he has leveled the face of it, does he not cast abroad the chick-peas and scatter the cummin and put in the wheat in rows and the barley in the appointed place and the spelt in the border of it?
²⁶ For his God instructs him aright, and teaches him.

³ Listen to me, O house of Jacob and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been borne by me from their birth, who have been carried from the womb.

¹² Listen to me, you* stout-hearted, who are far from righteousness:

¹ Ho, everyone who thirsts, come you* to the waters. And he who has no money, come you*, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. ² Why do you* spend money for what is not bread and your* labor for what does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me and eat you* what is good and let your* soul delight itself in fatness.

²⁴ He placed another parable with them, saying: The kingdom of the heavens is similar to a man who sows good seed in his field;

²⁶ But when the blade sprouted and produced fruit, then the darnels also appeared.

⁹ And he said, He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

¹⁴ The sower is sowing the word.

²³ If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.

Behold, I am saying to you, Lift up your eyes and look at the farmlands, because they are already white for the harvest. ³⁶ And he who is reaping receives wages and gathers fruit to everlasting life; in order that he who is sowing and he who is reaping may rejoice also in unison. ³⁷ For the true word is in this, Another is he who is sowing and another is he who is reaping. ³⁸ I sent you to reap what you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labor.

¹⁴ But Peter, standing up together with the eleven, lifted up his voice and spoke out to them, saying, Men, Jews and all you who are dwelling in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and notice my words.

⁶ I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. ⁷ So-then neither is the one who is planting anything, nor the one who is watering, but God who is causing the growth. ⁸ Now the one who is planting and the one who is watering are one, but each one will be receiving his own reward according to his own labor. ⁹ For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s cultivation, God’s building.

¹ Because of this, we ought to take-heed even-more to the things which were heard, lest we might drift away. ² For if the word spoken through the messengers became steadfast and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward; ³ how shall we flee, having neglected so-great a salvation, which having received at the beginning was spoken through the Lord, which was confirmed to us from those who heard it?

⁵ Listen, my beloved brethren. Did God not choose the poor of the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to those who love him?

⁷ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the congregations. To the one who overcomes, I will be giving to him to eat from the Tree of Life, which is in the Paradise of God.

¹¹ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the congregations. He who overcomes may never be hurt from the second death.

²⁹ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the congregations.

¹¹ And the birds of prey came down upon the carcasses and Abram drove them away.

⁴ and while he sowed, some fell beside the road and the birds came and devoured them.

¹⁹ everyone hearing the word of the kingdom and not understanding it, then the evil one comes and takes away what has been sown in his heart. This is he who was sown beside the road.

¹⁵ Now these are those beside the road, where the word is sown, and whenever they hear, immediately the Adversary comes and takes away the word which has been sown in their hearts.

¹² Sow to yourselves in righteousness. Reap according to kindness. Break up your* tillable ground, for it is time to seek Jehovah, till he comes and rains righteousness upon you*.

¹² Shall horses run upon the rock? Will a man plow there with oxen? That you* have turned justice into gall and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood,

¹⁶ And likewise, these are those who are sown upon the rocky-areas, who, whenever they hear the word, they immediately receive it with joy; ¹⁷ and they have no root in themselves, but are temporary. Thereafter, when affliction or persecution has happened to them because of the word, immediately they stumble.

¹³ But those upon the rock are those who, whenever they hear, accept the word with joy, and these have no root, who for a short time believe, and in time of temptation, withdraw.

³ And he will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. And whatever he does will prosper.
⁴ The wicked are not so, because they are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

¹³ Men who are planted in the house of Jehovah will flourish in the courts of our God.
¹⁴ They will still bring forth fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green ¹⁵ to show that Jehovah is upright. He is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in him.

⁶ Do not look upon me, because I am swarthy, because the sun has scorched me. My mother's sons were incensed against me. They made me keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have not kept.

⁴ For you have been a stronghold to a poor man, a stronghold to a needy man in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the oppressors is as a storm against the wall.

⁵ Jehovah says thus: Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm and whose heart departs from Jehovah. ⁶ For he will be like the heath in the desert and will not see when good comes, but will inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited.
⁷ Blessed is the man who trusts in Jehovah and whose trust Jehovah is. ⁸ For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, that spreads out its roots by the river and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green and will not be worried in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.

⁸ And it happened, when the sun arose, that God prepared a sultry east wind and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted and requested for himself that he might die and said, It is better for me to die than to live.

¹⁷ for the Christ to dwell in your hearts through the faith,

⁷ having been rooted and being built up in him and being confirmed in the faith, just-as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.

¹⁰ and in all deception of unrighteousness in those who are perishing, because they did not accept the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

¹¹ For the sun has risen together with the burning heat, and dried up the grass, and its flower fell and the beauty of its face perished. So shall the rich man also fade away in his pursuits.
¹² These people are hidden-reefs in your love-feasts, sumptuously feasting fearlessly alongside you, shepherding themselves, they are waterless clouds, being carried away by the winds; unfruitful autumn trees, twice dead, having been uprooted,

¹⁶ They will not be hungry anymore, nor thirsty anymore; nor should the heat of the sun fall upon them, nor any heat,

¹⁷ And to Adam he said, Because you have obeyed the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, You will not eat of it, cursed is the ground for your sake. You will eat of it in toil all the days of your life.
¹⁸ Also, it will bring forth thorns and thistles to you and you will eat the herb of the field.

³ For Jehovah says thus to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem, Break up your* tillable ground and sow not among thorns.

⁷ Now others fell upon the thorns, and the thorns shot up and choked them.

²² And he who was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, and the anxiety of this age and the deception of riches, choke the word and he becomes unfruitful.

¹⁸ And these are those who are sown among the thorns; these are those who hear the word, ¹⁹ and the anxieties of this age, and the deception of riches, and the lusts concerning all the rest of the worldly things travel into their hearts, are choking the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

⁷ And other fell in the midst of the thorns, and the thorns sprang up together with it and choked it.

¹⁴ But what fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and while they are traveling on with life, they are choked by anxieties and riches and sensual-delights of this life, and they are not bringing themselves to maturity.

¹⁵ Now he said to them, See and guard yourselves from greed, because not to anyone is his life in the abundance of his possessions.

³⁴ But take-heed to yourselves, lest your hearts might be burdened in a hangover and drunkenness, and anxieties of everyday life, and that day might suddenly stand upon you;

⁹ But those who are planning to be rich are falling into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful lusts, which are submerging men into utter-destruction and everlasting destruction. ¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils; of which some aspiring to, have been misled from the faith and they themselves are staked-through by many sorrows.

¹⁵ Do not love the world, nor the things which are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ¹⁶ Because all the things which are in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the self-importance of life, are not from the Father, but are from the world.

¹² And Isaac sowed in that land and found a hundredfold in the same year. And Jehovah blessed him.

¹ Cry aloud, spare not. Lift up your voice like a trumpet and declare to my people their transgression and to the house of Jacob their sins.

²⁹ Is not my word like fire? says Jehovah and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

⁸ But now, others fell upon the good soil and were giving fruit, which some was a hundred times, but some was sixty, but some thirty.

²³ Now he who was sown upon the good soil, this is he who hears the word and understands it; who bears-fruit and produces some a hundred times, and some sixty, and some thirty!

²⁰ And these are those who were sown upon the good soil; who hear the word and accept it, and bear-fruit, by thirty times and by sixty times and by a hundred times.

⁸ And other fell into the good soil, and sprang up and produced fruit a hundred-times over. While saying these things, he was shouting, He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

¹⁵ But that seed in the good soil, these are such as in a good and beautiful heart, having heard the word, hold-onto it and are bearing-fruit with endurance.

¹² But as many as received him, he gave to them the authority to become children of God, to the believing ones in his name, ¹³ who were born, not from bloods, nor from the will of the flesh, nor from the will of man, but from God.

¹⁹ Now this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. ²⁰ For everyone who is practicing evil, hates the light, and is not coming to the light, in order that his works should not convict him. ²¹ But he who practices the truth comes to the light, in order that his works should be manifest, that they have been worked in God.

¹⁷ If anyone is willing to practice his will, he will know concerning the teaching, of what sort it is, whether from God or I speak from myself.

⁵ I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him, this one is bringing forth much fruit, because you are not able to do anything separate from me.

¹¹ Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they accepted the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see if these things were so.

¹¹ having been filled with the fruits of righteousness, which is through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

⁶ This good-news which is present for you; just-as it also is in all the world. And is bearing-fruit and growing, just-as it also does in you, from the day you heard and fully knew the grace of God in truth;

¹ Therefore, since a promise was left of entering into his rest, let us fear lest anyone out of you seem to have come-short of it. ² For we also are having the good-news proclaimed to us, just-as they also had. But the word of hearing did not profit them, because it had not been mixed together with the faith in those who heard it.

¹⁹ So-then my beloved brethren, let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath. ²⁰ For the wrath of man is not working out the righteousness of God. ²¹ Hence, having placed away from yourselves all filthiness and the abundance of malice, accept the implanted word in meekness, which is able to save your souls.
²² But become doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves.

¹ Therefore having placed away from yourselves all malice and all treachery, and hypocrisies and envies, and all slanders, ² as newborn babies, long-for the logical milk which has no treachery, in order that you may grow in it; ³ if indeed, you have tasted it, that the Lord is kind;

⁹ But his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be about?
¹⁰ But he said, It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but it is in parables to the rest; in order that seeing, they may not see; and hearing, they may not understand. ¹¹ Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God. ¹² But those beside the road are those who hear; thereafter, the devil comes and takes away the word from their heart, in order that they may not believe and be saved. ¹³ But those upon the rock are those who, whenever they hear, accept the word with joy, and these have no root, who for a short time believe, and in time of temptation, withdraw. ¹⁴ But what fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and while they are traveling on with life, they are choked by anxieties and riches and sensual-delights of this life, and they are not bringing themselves to maturity. ¹⁵ But that seed in the good soil, these are such as in a good and beautiful heart, having heard the word, hold-onto it and are bearing-fruit with endurance.

²⁵ Jesus answered and said at that time, I profess you, O Father, Lord of heaven and the earth, that you hid these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants.

¹¹ But he answered and said to them, It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but it has not given to those men. ¹² For who ever has, to him will be given and he will abound, but who ever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. ¹³ Because of this, I speak to them in parables, because seeing, they do not see, and hearing, they do not hear, nor do they understand.

¹⁶ But your eyes are fortunate, because they are seeing, and your ears, because they are hearing.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered and said to him, You are fortunate, Simon, Son of Jonah, because flesh and blood has not revealed it to you, but my Father, the one in the heavens.

¹⁰ But he said, It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but it is in parables to the rest; in order that seeing, they may not see; and hearing, they may not understand.

²¹ Jesus was glad in the spirit in that same hour, and said, I profess you, O Father, Lord of the heaven and the earth, because you hid these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to infants. Yes Father, because thus it became a delight before you.
²² And having turned to the disciples, he said, All things have been given to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is, except the Father, and who the Father is, except the Son and he to whomever the Son wills to reveal him.
²³ And having turned to the disciples, he said privately, The eyes which see what you see are fortunate. ²⁴ For I say to you, that many prophets and kings wished to see the things which you are seeing and did not see them, and to hear the things which you are hearing and did not hear them.

⁷ For who is making you the judge? But what do you have which you did not receive? But if you also received it, why are you boasting as having not receive it?

¹² For what is it to me to judge those who are outside? Are you not judging those who are inside? ¹³ Now God will be judging those who are outside, and you will be taking away the evil man from among yourselves.

⁶ Because it is God, who said, ‘Illumination shine’out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁹ having made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his delight which he purposed in him,

⁴ But God, being rich in mercy, because of his much love with which he loved us, ⁵ even when we were dead through our trespasses, he made us alive together with the Christ; you are saved in his grace. ⁶ And God raised us up together with him and seated us together with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus; ⁷ in order that in the coming ages, he might show the surpassing riches of his grace in kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. ⁸ For you are saved by the grace through the faith, and this thing, the gift of God, is not from you; ⁹ not from works, in order that not anyone should boast. ¹⁰ For we are his product, created in Christ Jesus toward good works, in which God prepared beforehand in order that we should walk in them.

⁵ Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, buying up the time.

¹² in order that you may walk decently toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

⁷ But it is also essential for him to have a good testimony from those who are outside the congregation; in order that he may not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

{‘Unimpeachable,’(below, G423), ‘irreproachable,’(Tit 1, G410), are both in the qualifications of the Lord’s earthly congregation’s leadership, described in various Bible versions and locations within as: elders, bishops, overseers, pastors, shepherds, presbyters; (all terms are always plural in the Bible). These words do not translate well into English. They are simply a description of a person not under an accusation by an enemy or legal system or better as under any kind of accusation, this person is blameless, guiltless and has an impeccable reputation. Another note: ‘children’is plural in Greek.}

³ For we were also previously foolish, disobedient, being misled, serving in various lusts and sensual-delights, leading lives in malice and envy, spiteful, hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love of mankind had appeared: ⁵ he saved us (not from any works done in righteousness, which we practiced), but according to his mercy, through the full-washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ which he poured out upon us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; ⁷ in order that we might become heirs according to the hope of everlasting life, having been made righteous in that grace.

¹⁶ Do not be misled, my beloved brethren!
¹⁷ Every good act of giving, and every complete gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor a shadow of turning. ¹⁸ Having willed it, he gave-birth to us with the word of truth, that we might be a certain first-fruit of his created things.

²⁰ Now we know that the Son of God has come and has given us perception, in order that we might know the true one and we are in the true one, that is, in his son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and the everlasting life.

⁴ yet Jehovah has not given you* a heart to know and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this day.

⁹ And he said, Go and tell this people, Hear indeed, but do not understand and see you* indeed, but do not perceive. ¹⁰ Make the heart of this people fat and make their ears heavy and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn and be healed.

¹⁸ They do not know, nor do they consider. For he has shut their eyes, that they cannot see and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

²¹ Hear now this, O foolish people and without understanding, who have eyes and do not see, who have ears and do not hear:

¹⁸ I have surely heard Ephraim sympathize within himself saying, You have disciplined me and I was disciplined as a calf unaccustomed to the yoke. Turn me back and I will be turned back, for you are Jehovah my God.
¹⁹ Surely after that I was turned back. I repented and after I was instructed, I killed* upon my thigh. I was ashamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth.
²⁰ Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I do earnestly remember him still. Therefore my heart yearns for him. I will surely have mercy upon him, says Jehovah.

² Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the rebellious house, that have eyes to see and do not see, that have ears to hear and do not hear, for they are a rebellious house.

²⁷ Again, when a wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed and does what is lawful and right, he will save his soul alive. ²⁸ Because he considers and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he will surely live. He will not die.
²⁹ Yet the house of Israel says, The way of the Lord is not equitable. O house of Israel, are not my ways equitable? Are not your* ways inequitable?
³⁰ Therefore I will judge you*, O house of Israel, each one according to his ways, says the lord Jehovah. Return and turn yourselves from all your* transgressions, so iniquity will not be your* ruin.
³¹ Cast away from you* all your* transgressions, by which you* have transgressed and make you* a new heart and a new spirit. For why will you* die, O house of Israel? ³² For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies, says the lord Jehovah, therefore turn yourselves back and live.

³⁷ But though he had done so-many signs before them, yet they did not believe in him, ³⁸ in order that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, ‘Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?’ ³⁹ Because of this, they were not able to believe, because Isaiah said again, ⁴⁰ ‘He has blinded their eyes and he has hardened their heart; in order that they should not see with their eyes and should perceive with their heart and should turn and that I might heal them.’ ⁴¹ Isaiah said these things, when he saw his glory, and he spoke concerning him.

¹⁹ Therefore, repent and turn again, that your sins may be wiped-away, that seasons of refreshment may come from the presence of the Lord;

²⁵ But when they disagreed among themselves, they were dismissing themselves after Paul had spoken just one declaration, The Holy Spirit spoke well through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers, ²⁶ saying, ‘Travel to this people and say, In hearing you will hear and yet may never understand, and seeing you will see and yet may never see; ²⁷ for the heart of this people has become-callous and they have selectively heard with the ir ears and they have closed their eyes. Lest, they should see with the ir eyes and should hear with the ir ears and should understand with the ir heart and should return and I will be healing them.’

⁸ just-as it has been written, ‘God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes in order that they should not see and ears in order that they should not hear, until this very day.’ ⁹ And David says, ‘Let their table become for a snare and for a trap and for an offense and for a repayment to them. ¹⁰ Let their eyes be darkened not to see and may you always bow down their backs.’

²⁵ in meekness educating those who are placing themselves in opposition; if maybe God might give them repentance to come to the full knowledge of the truth,

⁶ and then having fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, because they are again crucifying for themselves the Son of God and disgracing him.

¹⁸ Therefore you, hear the parable of the sower: ¹⁹ everyone hearing the word of the kingdom and not understanding it, then the evil one comes and takes away what has been sown in his heart. This is he who was sown beside the road.
²⁰ And he who was sown upon the rocky-areas, this is he who hears the word and immediately is receiving it with joy; ²¹ but he does not have root in himself, but is temporary, and when affliction or persecution has happened to him because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
²² And he who was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, and the anxiety of this age and the deception of riches, choke the word and he becomes unfruitful.
²³ Now he who was sown upon the good soil, this is he who hears the word and understands it; who bears-fruit and produces some a hundred times, and some sixty, and some thirty!

⁵¹ And Jesus says to them, Have you understood all these things?
They say to him, Yes, Lord.
⁵² Now he said to them, Because of this, every scribe who has been made a disciple to the kingdom of the heavens is similar to a man who is a householder, who casts forth out of his treasure, new and old things.

¹⁵ Now Peter answered and said to him, Explain to us the parable.
¹⁶ Now Jesus said, Are you also without understanding at this point? ¹⁷ Are you not yet perceiving, that whatever travels into the mouth makes room in the belly, and is cast out into the sewer?

⁸ Now Jesus having known it, said to them, You of small faith, why are you reasoning among yourselves, because you took no bread? ⁹ Do you not yet perceive, nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up?

¹⁷ And when he entered into the house away from the crowd, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. ¹⁸ And he says to them, So are you also without understanding? Are you not perceiving, that whatever is outside, travels into the man, is not able to desecrate him;

²⁵ And he said to them, O you foolish ones and slow in heart to believe upon all that the prophets have spoken!

¹ And brethren, I was not able to speak to you as to spiritual people, but as to fleshly ones, as to infants in Christ. ² I gave you milk to drink and not food, for you were not yet able to eat it. But still you are not able even now,

¹¹ Concerning whom, much for us to say in speech (also hard to translate), since you have become sluggish in hearing. ¹² For you also ought to be teachers by now because of the time, but you again have need of one to teach you what are the fundamental principles of the beginning oracles of God, and have become ones having need of milk and not of solid nourishment. ¹³ For everyone who partakes of milk is inexperienced of the word of righteousness; for he is an infant. ¹⁴ But solid nourishment is for the mature ones, from those who, through their habit, have had their senses exercised to the discerning of both good and evil.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.

²⁰ You* who sow beside all waters, who send forth the feet of the ox and the donkey are fortunate.

³⁷ Now he answered and said to them, He who is sowing the good seed is the Son of Man;

² And immediately many were gathered together, so-that it was no longer possible to make room, not even next to the door, and he was speaking the word to them.

² just-as they gave them to us, who from the beginning became eyewitnesses and attendants of the word,

¹¹ Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God.

⁴ Therefore indeed, those who were dispersed went through out the land, proclaiming the good-news of the word.

⁵ because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard beforehand in the word of the truth of the good-news. ⁶ This good-news which is present for you; just-as it also is in all the world. And is bearing-fruit and growing, just-as it also does in you, from the day you heard and fully knew the grace of God in truth;

²³ having been born again, not out of corruptible seed, but from the incorruptible, through the word of God, which is living and remaining forever. ²⁴ Because, ‘All flesh is like grass and all the glory of man is like the flower of grass. The grass dried up and the its flower fell away. ²⁵ But the declaration of the Lord is abiding forever.’And this is the declaration of the good-news which was proclaimed to you.

¹⁴ And Lot went out and spoke to his sons in-law, who married his daughters and said, Up, you* get out of this place, because Jehovah will destroy the city. But he seemed as a man jesting, to his sons-in-law.

⁶ Now it happened on the day when the sons of God came to present themselves before Jehovah, that Satan also came among them. ⁷ And Jehovah said to Satan, From where do you come? Then Satan answered Jehovah and said, From going to and fro on the earth and from walking up and down on it. ⁸ And Jehovah said to Satan, Have you considered my servant Job? For there is none like him on the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one who fears God and turns away from evil. ⁹ Then Satan answered Jehovah and said, Does Job fear God for nothing? ¹⁰ Have you not made a hedge on every side on behalf of him and his house and all that he has? You have blessed the work of his hands and his substance is increased in the land. ¹¹ But put forth your hand now and touch all that he has and he will renounce you to your face. ¹² And Jehovah said to Satan, Behold, all that he has is in your power, only upon himself do not put forth your hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of Jehovah.

¹ Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of Jehovah been revealed?

¹ And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the messenger of Jehovah and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

¹⁰ Then Jesus says to him, Go behind me, Adversary! For it has been written, ‘You will worship the Lord your God and you will give-divine service to him only.’

⁵ But they neglecting it, went away, one to his own field, another to his merchandise;

⁴ and it happened, while he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road and the birds came and devoured it.

¹⁸ And they all, from one desire, began to excuse themselves. The first said to him, I have bought a field, and I have a necessity to go out and to see it; I request of you, have me excused.
¹⁹ And a different one said, I have bought five yoke of bulls, and I am traveling on to test them; I request of you, have me excused.

³ But Peter said, Ananias, why has the Adversary filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to pilfer part of the price of the parcel of ground?

¹⁸ Now also some of the Epicureans and Stoic philosophers were encountering him and some were saying, Whatever does this babbler wish to say?
Some said, He seems to be a proclaimer of strange demons, because he is proclaiming the good-news of Jesus and the resurrection.
¹⁹ And they grabbed him and led him to the Areopagus, saying, Are we able to know what this new teaching is, which is spoken by you? ²⁰ For you are bringing some surprising things to our ears. Therefore, we plan to know what these things might wish to be.

³² Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some were sneering, but some said, We will hear you concerning this again.

¹⁴ But when Paul was about to open his mouth, Gallio said to the Jews, Therefore if it was indeed some wrongdoing or evil villainy, O you Jews, I might tolerate you according to reason. ¹⁵ But if there are debates concerning words and names and law which is according to you, you will see to it yourselves; for I am not willing to be a judge of these things. ¹⁶ And he drove them away from the judicial-seat. ¹⁷ Now all the Greeks grabbed Sosthenes, the ruler of the synagogue, and were beating him before the judicial-seat. And Gallio was not about to judge anything.

¹⁹ but they were having some debates with him concerning their own religion and concerning someone named Jesus, who had died, whom Paul was claiming to be living. ²⁰ But I, being perplexed as to the debate concerning this, was saying to him, if he plans to travel to Jerusalem and to be judged there concerning these things.

³¹ and having departed, they were speaking to one another, saying, This man is practicing nothing worthy of death or bonds.
³² But Agrippa said to Festus, This man was able to be released, if he had not appealed to Caesar.

¹¹ in order that we should not be taken-advantage of by the Adversary; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

³ But even if our good-news is being hidden, it is being hidden among those who are perishing, ⁴ in whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the illumination of the good-news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn for them.

⁹ even he, whose presence is according to the working of the Adversary in every power and in signs and in lying wonders,

¹ Because of this, we ought to take-heed even-more to the things which were heard, lest we might drift away.

¹⁶ lest there is any fornicator or profane person, like Esau, who gave away his birthright in exchange-for one dinner.

⁸ Be sober! Watch! Your opponent, the devil, like a roaring lion, is walking around seeking whom he may swallow,

⁹ And the great dragon was cast down, the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and the Adversary, the one who is misleading the whole inhabited-earth; he was cast down to the earth and his messengers were cast down with him.

² And he took-hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and the Adversary, the one who is misleading the whole inhabited-earth and bound him a thousand years, ³ and cast him into the abyss and locked it and sealed it above him, in order that he may not mislead the nations anymore, till the thousand years might be completed. It is essential for him to be loosed for a little time after these things.

⁷ And whenever the thousand years might be completed, the Adversary will be loosed out of his prison,

¹⁰ And the devil who is misleading them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also, and they will be tormented day and night forevermore.

³¹ And they come to you as the people come and they sit before you as my people. And they hear your words, but do not do them. For with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.
³² And behold, you are to them as a very lovely song of he who has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument. For they hear your words, but they do not do them.

¹⁹ And one scribe came to him, and said, Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.
²⁰ And Jesus says to him, The foxes have burrows and the birds of the heaven have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere he may bow his head.

²⁰ And he who was sown upon the rocky-areas, this is he who hears the word and immediately is receiving it with joy; ²¹ but he does not have root in himself, but is temporary, and when affliction or persecution has happened to him because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

²⁰ for Herod feared John, knowing him to be a righteous and holy man, and was protecting him. And having heard him, he was doing many things, and was gladly hearing him, often.

¹⁷ And while traveling toward the road, one ran up to him and knelt before him, and asked him, Good Teacher, what should I practice in order that I may inherit everlasting life?
¹⁸ But Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good? None is good except one, our God. ¹⁹ You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery. Do not murder. Do not steal. Do not falsely testify. Do not defraud. Honor your father and mother.’
²⁰ But he answered and said to him, Teacher, I have observed all these things from my youth.
²¹ Now Jesus looking at him, loved him, and said to him, You are lacking in one thing. Go, sell as many things as you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. And come-here, follow me, having lifted up your cross. ²² But being dismal upon the word, he went away and was sorrowing; for he had many properties.

³⁵ He was that lamp which burns and appears bright, and you were willing to be glad for a season in his light.

¹³ Now Simon himself also believed and was immersed, and was persevering with Philip. And viewing signs and great miracles which were happening, he was being astonished.

¹⁸ But when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’hands the Holy Spirit is given, he offered them monies, ¹⁹ saying, Give to me also this authority, in order that I may lay my hands on whomever, and he may receive the Holy Spirit.
²⁰ But Peter said to him, May your silver together with you be sent into destruction, because you have thought to procure the gift of God through monies! ²¹ You have neither part nor inheritance in this word, for this heart of yours is not straight in God’s sight.

²⁵ But while reasoning concerning righteousness and self-control and the future judgment which will be, Felix having become fearful, answered, Travel on now, and when I take the next opportunity, I myself will call you. ²⁶ (He was hoping at the same time that monies will be given to him by Paul, that he might loose him.) Hence, he sent for him frequently, and was conversing with him.

²⁸ But Agrippa said to Paul, Are you persuading me to become a Christian in few words?

²⁸ If you* say, How we will persecute him! And that the root of the matter is found in me,

⁸ For what is the hope of the profane, though he gets him gain, when God takes away his soul? ⁹ Will God hear his cry when trouble comes upon him? ¹⁰ Will he delight himself in the Almighty and call upon God at all times?

⁶ And whoever is not offended at me is fortunate.

³¹ Because of this, I am saying to you, Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven to men, but the blasphemy of the Spirit will not be forgiven to men.

²¹ but he does not have root in himself, but is temporary, and when affliction or persecution has happened to him because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

⁹ Then they will be giving you up to affliction and will be killing you, and you will be hated by all the nations because of my name. ¹⁰ And then many will be offended, and will be giving up one another and will be hating one another.

⁵ But other seed fell upon the rocky-area, where it did not have much earth, and immediately it rose up, because it had no depth of earth; ⁶ now when the sun rose, it was burnt, and it dried up because it had no root.

¹⁰ And everyone who will speak a blasphemous word at the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him, but to the one who has blasphemed at the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven.

³¹ Therefore Jesus said to those Jews who have believed in him, If you abide in my word, then you truly are my disciples;

² Every branch which is not bringing forth fruit in me, he takes it away and every branch which is bringing forth fruit, he prunes it, in order that it may bring forth more fruit. ³ Already you are clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. ⁴ Abide in me and I in you. Just-as the branch is not able to bring forth fruit from itself, if it does not abide in the vine; so neither can you if you do not abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him, this one is bringing forth much fruit, because you are not able to do anything separate from me. ⁶ If anyone is not abiding in me, he was cast outside like a branch and was dried up, and they gather them and cast them into the fire and it is burned. ⁷ If you abide in me, and then my words should abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will happen for you.

¹² So-then, he who thinks he stands, let him beware, lest he might fall! ¹³ No temptation has taken you except common human temptations, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to undergo, but together with the temptation, he will also make an outlet.

¹² As many as wish to have a good countenance in the flesh, these are urging you to be circumcised; only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of the Christ.

³ that no one be shook up in these afflictions; for you yourselves know that we are destined for this thing. ⁴ For even when we were with you, we were telling you beforehand that we are about to be afflicted; just-as it also happened and you know. ⁵ Because of this, no longer forbearing it, I also sent Timothy, that I might know your faith, lest the tempter had tempted you, and our labor might become vain.

¹⁵ You know this, that all who are in Asia turned away from me; of whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.

¹⁷ and their word will hold an eating-away like gangrene; of whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus. ¹⁸ They have deviated concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection has happened already and are perverting the faith of some.

¹⁰ for Demas forsook me and traveled to Thessalonica, having loved this current age; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.

¹⁶ In my first defense no one came together for my defense, but all forsook me; may it not be counted against them.

²⁹ How much worse punishment, do you think he will be deemed worthy of, after having trampled under foot the Son of God, and having deemed the blood of the covenant in which he was made holy as common, and having insulted the Spirit of the grace?

¹⁹ They went out away from us, but they were not from us; for if they had been from us, they would have remained with us, but they went out, in order that they might be made manifest that all of them are not from us.

¹⁰ Let no one fear the things which you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some from you into prison, in order that you may be tested and you will have affliction ten days. Become faithful to death and I will be giving you the crown of life.

¹³ I know your works and where you dwell–where the Adversary’s throne is, and you are holding-fast my name and did not deny my faith in the days, in which my witness, the faithful Antipas was killed beside you, where the Adversary is dwelling.

⁷ And other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns shot up and choked it, and it gave no fruit.

⁵ Will you set your eyes upon what is not? Because it certainly makes itself wings, like an eagle that flies toward heaven.

⁸ There is one man who is alone and he has not a second, yes, he has neither son nor brother. Yet there is no end of all his labor, nor are his eyes satisfied with riches. And he says, whom then do I labor and deprive my soul of good? This also is vanity, yes, it is a great task.

¹⁰ He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver, nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity. ¹¹ When goods increase, they are increased who eat them. And what advantage is there to the owner of it, except the beholding of them with his eyes?
¹² The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the fullness of the rich will not allow him to sleep.
¹³ There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun; riches were kept by its owner to his evil. ¹⁴ And those riches perish by an evil task. And if he has fathered a son, there is nothing in his hand. ¹⁵ As he came out from his mother's womb, naked will he go again as he came and will take nothing for his labor, which he may carry away in his hand. ¹⁶ And this also is a grievous evil, that in all points as he came, so he will go. And what profit has he that he labored for the wind?

² And he dug it and gathered out the stones of it and planted it with the choicest vine and built a tower in the midst of it and also hewed out a winepress in it. And he looked that it should bring forth grapes and it brought out wild grapes.

⁴ What could have been done more to my vineyard that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, it brought out wild grapes?

¹⁰ But even already, the ax is laid to the root of the trees, because every tree which is not producing good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.

²³ Now Jesus said to his disciples, Assuredly I am saying to you, A rich man will hardly enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

⁴¹ But Jesus answered and said to her, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and disturbed concerning many things,

¹⁷ and he was reasoning in himself, saying, What should I do, because I have nowhere, in which, I will gather together my fruits? ¹⁸ And he said, I will be doing this: I will be taking down my barns and build greater ones. And I will be gathering together there, all my fruits of labor and my good things. ¹⁹ And I will be saying to my soul, Soul, you have many good things laid up for many years; rest yourself, eat, drink, and be joyous.
²⁰ But God said to him, Fool, your soul is asked back from you in this night, and the things which you prepared, whose will they be? ²¹ So is he who is storing up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

²⁹ And do not seek what you might eat or what you might drink, and do not be in anxious suspense. ³⁰ For the nations of the world are seeking after all these things, but your Father knows that you have need of these things.

¹⁸ And they all, from one desire, began to excuse themselves. The first said to him, I have bought a field, and I have a necessity to go out and to see it; I request of you, have me excused.
¹⁹ And a different one said, I have bought five yoke of bulls, and I am traveling on to test them; I request of you, have me excused.
²⁰ And a different one said, I have married a wife, and because of this, I am not able to come.

² Every branch which is not bringing forth fruit in me, he takes it away and every branch which is bringing forth fruit, he prunes it, in order that it may bring forth more fruit.

⁶ Be anxious in nothing, but in everything, let your requests be made known to God by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving.

¹⁷ Command the rich in this current age, not to be cavalier, nor to have hope on the uncertainty of riches, but have hope in the living God, who is richly providing to us all things toward enjoyment;

⁷ For the soil, which drank the rainfall, when it has come often upon her, and is bearing forth vegetation fit for those because of whom it is also cultivated, receives blessing from God. ⁸ But when it is bringing forth thorns and thistles, it is unapproved and near to a curse; whose end is for burning.

² that you should no longer have your life, (the rest of your time in the flesh), in the lusts of men, but in the will of God. ³ For enough time which has passed away from our life is for us to have worked the will of the Gentiles, and having conducted-ourselves in: unbridled-lusts, lusts, drunkenness, revelings, drinking-bouts and illegal idolatries;

⁸ For if these things are existing and increasing in you, none will designate you idle or unfruitful toward the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁵ Do not love the world, nor the things which are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ¹⁶ Because all the things which are in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the self-importance of life, are not from the Father, but are from the world. ¹⁷ And the world is passing away and its lust, but he who is practicing the will of God abides forever.

⁸ And other seed fell into the good soil and it was giving fruit, shooting up and growing, and it was bringing forth by thirty times, and by sixty times, and by a hundred times as much. \ulnone\nosupersub

⁴ Abide in me and I in you. Just-as the branch is not able to bring forth fruit from itself, if it does not abide in the vine; so neither can you if you do not abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me and I in him, this one is bringing forth much fruit, because you are not able to do anything separate from me.

¹⁶ You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you, in order that you should go and should bring forth fruit and in order that your fruit should abide, that if you ask anything of the Father in my name, he should give it to you.

⁴ So-then my brethren, you were also slain to the law through the body of Christ; that you should become joined to a different one, that is to the one who was raised up from the dead, in order that we might bear-fruit to God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, ²³ meekness and self-control. There is no law against such.

¹⁰ for you to walk worthy of the Lord for pleasing him in everything, bearing-fruit in every good work and growing into the full knowledge of God;

¹ Therefore furthermore brethren, we request and are encouraging you in the Lord Jesus, just-as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, in order that you might abound even more.

¹ Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of Jehovah has risen upon you. ² For, behold, darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the peoples. But Jehovah will arise upon you and his glory will be seen upon you. ³ And nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising.

¹⁵ Nor are they burning a lamp and placing it under a peck container, but upon the lamp-stand, and it is shining to all who are in the house.

¹⁶ Now no one, having lit a lamp, hides it in a vessel or places it underneath a bed, but places it upon a lamp-stand, in order that those who travel in may see the light.

³³ No one, having lit a lamp, places it in a cellar, nor under the peck container, but upon the lamp-stand, in order that those who travel in may see the radiance of it.

⁷ But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for what is advantageous:

³ But do not let fornication and all uncleanness or greed even be named among you, as is suitable to holy-ones; ⁴ and do not let obscenity, and foolish-talk or petty jesting, which are not proper, but rather thanksgiving. ⁵ For this you know, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor greedy person, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God. ⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words; for because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience. ⁷ Therefore do not become joint partakers with them. ⁸ For you were previously in darkness, but now you^\'b0 are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light ⁹ (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth), ¹⁰ testing what is well pleasing to the Lord. ¹¹ And have no fellowship together with the unfruitful works of darkness, but also rather reprove them; ¹² for it is shameful even to speak of the things happening by them covertly. ¹³ But being reproved, all things are manifested by the light; for everything which is manifested is light. ¹⁴ Hence he says, Arise, you who are sleeping and rise up from the dead and the Christ will appear upon you.
¹⁵ Therefore beware, how accurately you are walking, not as unwise, but as wise;

¹⁵ in order that you might become blameless and harmless children of God, flawless in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as illuminations in the world. ¹⁶ Keep holding onto the word of life, for a boast to me in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain nor labored in vain.

⁹ I have proclaimed good news of righteousness in the great assembly. Behold, I will not refrain my lips. O Jehovah, you know. ¹⁰ I have not hid your righteousness within my heart. I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great assembly.

² I will open my mouth in parables. I will pour out dark sayings of long-ago, ³ which we have heard and known and our fathers have told us.
⁴ We will not hide them from their sons, telling to the generation to come the praises of Jehovah and his strength and his wondrous works that he has done.

¹⁴ Because God will bring every work with every hidden thing, whether good or evil into judgment.

²⁶ Therefore do not fear them; for there is nothing hidden, which will not be revealed, and nothing secret, which will not be known. ²⁷ What I am speaking to you in the darkness, speak in the light, and what you hear in your^\'b0 ear, preach upon the housetops.

¹⁷ For there is not anything hid, that will not become apparent; nor anything secret, that will not be known and may come into apparent view.

² But nothing is covered up, that will not be revealed; or secret, that will not be known. ³ Because as many things as you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in the storerooms will be preached upon the housetops.

²⁰ For we are not able to speak, but the things which we saw and heard.

²⁷ For I did not retreat back from proclaiming to you the whole plan of God.

⁵ So-then, do not judge anything before the time, until the Lord should come, who will both be illuminating the hidden things of darkness and will be manifesting the plans of the hearts, and then the praise from God will happen for each.

¹ What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we saw and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life ² and the life was manifested and we have seen and are testifying and reporting to you the everlasting life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us. ³ What we have seen and have heard, we report to you, in order that you may also have fellowship with us, but also our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ;

¹⁷ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the congregations. To the one who overcomes, I will be giving to him to eat from the manna which has been hidden and I will be giving him a white voting-pebble and a new name that has been written upon the voting-pebble, which no one knows except he who receives it.

²⁷ To err from the words of knowledge, cease, my son, to hear instruction.

³ Incline your* ear and come to me. Hear and your* soul will live. And I will make an everlasting covenant with you*, even the faithful holy things of David.

² For in what judgment you judge, you will be judged and in what measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

⁷ And there became a cloud overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son; hear him!

³⁷ And do not judge and you may never be judged; do not sentence others and you may never be sentenced; release and you will be released. ³⁸ Give and it will be given to you; they will be giving good measure into your bosom, what has been packed-down and shaken together and pouring over. For with the same measure you measure, it will be measured to you again.

²⁵ Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, The hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

¹⁶ And I have other sheep, which are not out of this pen; it is also essential for me to lead those and they will be hearing my voice and there will become one flock, only one shepherd.

²⁷ My sheep hear my voice and I know them and they are following me,

⁶ But I say this, He who is sowing sparingly will also be reaping sparingly, and he who is sowing upon his bounties will also be reaping upon his bounties.

² as newborn babies, long-for the logical milk which has no treachery, in order that you may grow in it;

¹ But false prophets happened to be also among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will be smuggling in sects of destruction, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing quick destruction upon themselves. ² And many will be following their unbridled-lusts, because of whom the way of the truth will be blasphemed. \ulnone\nosupersub ³ And in their greed, they will be merchants of you with fabricated words; to whom the condemnation from long-ago is not idle, and their destruction will not be slumbering.

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

¹² For who ever has, to him will be given and he will abound, but who ever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

²⁸ Therefore, take away the talant from him and give it to the one who has the ten talants. ²⁹ For to everyone who has, will be given more, and he will abound, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

⁹ And I say to you, Make^*\'b0 friends for yourselves out of the money of unrighteousness; in order that, whenever it fails, they may accept you into the everlasting tabernacles. ¹⁰ The faithful in the least matters is also faithful in much, and the unrighteous in the least matters is also unrighteous in much. ¹¹ Therefore, if you have not become faithful in the unrighteous money, who will be entrusting the true riches to you? ¹² And if you have not become faithful in what is another’s, who will be giving you what is yours?

²⁴ And he said to those standing beside him, Take away the two-hundred denarius coin from him, and give it to the one who has the ten two-hundred denarius coins.
²⁵ And they said to him, Lord, he has ten two-hundred denarius coins. Why?
²⁶ For I say to you, that to everyone who has, will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away from him.

¹⁸ A wicked man earns deceitful wages, but he who sows righteousness has a sure reward.

⁴ He who observes the wind will not sow and he who regards the clouds will not reap.

² and saying, Repent; for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.

¹⁷ From then onward, Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent; for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.

¹¹ But he answered and said to them, It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of the heavens, but it has not given to those men.

³¹ He placed another parable before them, saying: The kingdom of the heavens is similar to a kernel of a mustard-seed, which a man took and sowed in his field;

³³ He spoke another parable to them: The kingdom of the heavens is similar to leaven, which a woman took and hid in three three-gallon containers of flour, until it was entirely leavened.

³ Listen : behold, the sower went forth to sow, ⁴ and it happened, while he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road and the birds came and devoured it.

¹⁴ The sower is sowing the word. ¹⁵ Now these are those beside the road, where the word is sown, and whenever they hear, immediately the Adversary comes and takes away the word which has been sown in their hearts.
¹⁶ And likewise, these are those who are sown upon the rocky-areas, who, whenever they hear the word, they immediately receive it with joy; ¹⁷ and they have no root in themselves, but are temporary. Thereafter, when affliction or persecution has happened to them because of the word, immediately they stumble.
¹⁸ And these are those who are sown among the thorns; these are those who hear the word, ¹⁹ and the anxieties of this age, and the deception of riches, and the lusts concerning all the rest of the worldly things travel into their hearts, are choking the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
²⁰ And these are those who were sown upon the good soil; who hear the word and accept it, and bear-fruit, by thirty times and by sixty times and by a hundred times.

¹⁸ Now he said, The kingdom of God is similar to what? And what shall I make it similar to?

²⁴ Assuredly, assuredly, I am saying to you, If a kernel of grain has not fallen into the soil and died, it remains alone, but if it dies, it is bringing forth much fruit.

¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who are making peace.

¹⁷ then I beheld all the work of God, that man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. Because however much a man labors to seek it out, yet he will not find it. Yes moreover, though a wise man thinks to know it, yet he will not be able to find it.

⁵ As you do not know what is the way of the wind, nor how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, even so you do not know the work of God who does it all.

⁷ Do not marvel that I said to you, It is essential for you to be born anew. ⁸ The Spirit is blowing where he wills and you hear his voice, but do not know from where he is coming and where he is going, so is everyone who has been born from the Spirit.

³⁷ and what you sow, you do not sow the body that will become, but a naked kernel, it may be of wheat or anyone of the rest of the grains; ³⁸ but God gives it a body just-as he wills and to each seed a body of its own.

³ Brethren, we always ought to thank God concerning you, just-as it is worthy, because your faith is growing substantially, and the love of each one of you all toward one another is increasing;

¹⁸ But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Glory is to him, both now and toward the final day of this world. Amen.

¹¹ And God said, Let the earth put forth grass, herbs yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit (which has seed in it) according to their kind upon the earth. And it was so.
¹² And the earth brought out grass, herbs yielding seed according to their kind and trees bearing fruit (which has seed in it), according to their kind. And God saw that it was good.

⁴ These are the genealogies of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven. ⁵ And no plant of the field was yet in the earth and no herb of the field had yet sprung up, because Jehovah God had not caused it to rain upon the earth. And there was not a man to work the ground,

⁹ And out of the ground Jehovah God made to grow every tree that is desirable to the sight and good for food; also in the midst of the garden the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

¹¹ And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. ¹² When you till the ground, it will not again yield to you its strength. You will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth.

³ And he will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. And whatever he does will prosper.

¹³ Men who are planted in the house of Jehovah will flourish in the courts of our God.
¹⁴ They will still bring forth fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green

¹⁸ But the path of the righteous is as the dawning light, that shines more and more to the perfect day.

¹ There is a season for everything and a time for every purpose under heaven:

¹¹ He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Also he has set the everlasting in their heart, yet so that man cannot find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.

¹¹ For as the earth brings forth its bud and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

³ And let us know, let us follow on to know Jehovah. His going forth is sure as the morning and he will come to us as the rain, as the latter rain that waters the earth.

³¹ It is like a kernel of a mustard-seed, which, whenever it is sown upon the earth, though it is least compared to all the seeds that are upon the earth, ³² yet whenever it has been sown, it shoots up and becomes greater than all the herbs and produces great branches; so-that the birds of the heaven are able to nest under its shadow.

⁶ I have confidence of this same thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will be completing it till the day of Jesus Christ;

⁹ And I am praying for this: in order that your love may abound still more and more in full knowledge and all comprehension; ¹⁰ that you may approve the things which are carrying more-value; in order that you may be sincere and guilt-free in the day of Christ; ¹¹ having been filled with the fruits of righteousness, which is through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

¹² And may the Lord increase in you and this increase to abound in love toward one another and toward all men, just-as we also do toward you; ¹³ that he might establish your hearts, blameless in holiness before our God and Father, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, with all his holy-ones.

²⁶ You will come to your grave in a full age, like a shock of grain comes in its season.

¹ The righteous man perishes and no man lays it to heart. And merciful men are taken away; none considering that the righteous man is taken away from the evil. ² He enters into peace. They rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.

¹³ Put you* in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread you*, for the winepress is full, the vats overflow. For their wickedness is great.

³⁰ Allow both to be grown together till the harvest, and I will be saying to the reapers in the time of the harvest, Collect first the darnels and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.

⁴⁰ Therefore, just-like the darnels is collected and burned in fire; so it will be in the end of this world. ⁴¹ The Son of Man will be sending forth his messengers and they will be collecting out of his kingdom all the offenses and those who are practicing lawlessness, ⁴² and will be casting them into the furnace of fire–the weeping and the gnashing of teeth will be there. ⁴³ Then the righteous will be shining out like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

⁷ I have fought the good fight. I have completed the course. I have kept the faith. ⁸ Furthermore the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will be giving to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.

¹³ And I heard the voice from heaven saying to me, Write, the dead ones who die in the Lord are fortunate from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they should rest themselves from their labors, and their works follow after them.
¹⁴ And I saw and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud I saw one sitting similar to a son of man, having upon his head a golden crown and in his hand a sharp sickle. ¹⁵ And another messenger came out from the temple, crying in a loud voice to the one who sits upon the cloud, Send forth your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe. ¹⁶ And he who sits upon the cloud cast his sickle upon the earth, and the earth was reaped.
¹⁷ Another messenger came out from the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

¹³ What shall I testify to you? What shall I liken to you, O daughter of Jerusalem? What shall I compare to you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? For your breach is great like the sea; who can heal you?

¹⁶ But to what shall be similar to this generation? It is similar to children sitting in the marketplaces and shouting to their comrades

³¹ He placed another parable before them, saying: The kingdom of the heavens is similar to a kernel of a mustard-seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; ³² which indeed is least compared to all of the other seeds, but whenever it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so-that the birds of the heaven come and nest in its branches.

¹⁸ Now he said, The kingdom of God is similar to what? And what shall I make it similar to? ¹⁹ It is similar to a kernel of a mustard-seed, which a man took and cast into his own garden, and it grew and became a great tree, and the birds of the heaven nested in its branches.
²⁰ Again he said, The kingdom of God shall be similar to what? ²¹ It is similar to leaven, which a woman took and hid in three three-gallon containers of flour, until it was entirely leavened.

¹⁷ that in blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is upon the sea _shore and your seed will possess the gate of his enemies ¹⁸ and in your seed will all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.

¹⁶ There will be abundance of grain in the earth upon the top of the mountains. The fruit of it will shake like Lebanon. And they from the city will flourish like the grass of the earth.
¹⁷ His name will endure everlasting. His name will be continued as long as the sun. And men will call him fortunate. All nations will call him fortunate.
¹⁸ Praise Jehovah God, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous things. ¹⁹ And praise his glorious name everlasting. And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Truly and Truly.

² And it will happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Jehovah's house will be established on the top of the mountains and will be exalted above the hills and all nations will flow to it. ³ And many peoples will go and say, Come and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob and he will teach us of his ways and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion will go forth the law and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.

⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from hereafter until everlasting. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

⁶ yes, he says, It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved of Israel. I will also give you for a light to the Gentiles, that you may be my salvation to the end of the earth.
⁷ Jehovah says thus, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the nation abhors, to a servant of rulers. Kings will see and arise, rulers and they will worship, because of Jehovah who is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.

² For he grew up before him as a tender plant and as a root out of a dry ground. He has no form nor comeliness. And when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

¹² Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great and he will divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors. Yet he bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.

²² The little one will become a thousand and the small one a strong nation. I, Jehovah, will hasten it in its time.

²² The lord Jehovah says thus: I will also take of the lofty top of the cedar and will set it. I will crop off a tender one from the topmost of its offshoots and I will plant it upon a high and lofty mountain. ²³ I will plant it in the mountain of the height of Israel and it will bring forth branches and bear fruit and be a majestic cedar. And all birds of every wing will dwell under it; they will dwell in the shade of the branches of it.
²⁴ And all the trees of the field will know that I, Jehovah, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree and have made the dry tree to flourish. I, Jehovah, have spoken and have done it.

³⁴ You looked until a stone was cut out without hands, which killed* the image upon its feet that were of iron and clay and broke them in pieces. ³⁵ Then the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver and the gold, was broken in pieces together and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors. And the wind carried them away, so that no place was found for them. And the stone that killed* the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

⁴⁴ And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will the sovereignty of it be left to another people, but it will break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms and it will stand forever.
⁴⁵ Inasmuch as you saw that a stone was cut out of the mountain without hands and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what will happen hereafter. And the dream is certain and the interpretation of it sure.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that has fallen and close up the breaches of it. And I will raise up its ruins and I will build it as in the days of old, ¹² that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that are called by my name, says Jehovah who does this.
¹³ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that the plowman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes he who draws seed and the mountains will drop sweet wine and all the hills will melt.
¹⁴ And I will bring back the captivity of my people Israel and they will build the waste cities and inhabit them and they will plant vineyards and drink the wine of it. They will also make gardens and eat the fruit of them. ¹⁵ And I will plant them upon their land and they will no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them, says Jehovah your God.

¹ But in the latter days it will happen, that the mountain of Jehovah's house will be established on the top of the mountains and it will be exalted above the hills and peoples will flow to it.
² And many nations will go and say, Come and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah and to the house of the God of Jacob and he will teach us of his ways and we will walk in his paths. For out of Zion will go forth the law and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.

¹¹ And many nations will join themselves to Jehovah in that day and will be my people and I will dwell in the midst of you. And you will know that Jehovah of hosts has sent me to you.

²⁰ Jehovah of hosts says thus: Peoples will yet come and the inhabitants of many cities. ²¹ And the inhabitants of one city will go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Jehovah and to seek Jehovah of hosts. I will go also. ²² Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Jehovah of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of Jehovah.
²³ Jehovah of hosts says thus: In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, We will go with you*, for we have heard that God is with you*.

⁸ In that day Jehovah will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And he who is feeble among them at that day will be as David and the house of David will be as God, as the messenger of Jehovah before them.

⁶ And it will happen in that day, that there will not be light; the bright ones will withdraw themselves. ⁷ But it will be one day which is known to Jehovah, not day and not night. But it will happen, that at evening time there will be light.
⁸ And it will happen in that day, that living waters will go out from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea. In summer and in winter it will be. ⁹ And Jehovah will be King over all the earth. In that day Jehovah will be one and his name one.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even to the going down of the same, my name is great among the Gentiles. And in every place incense is offered to my name and a pure offering. For my name is great among the Gentiles, says Jehovah of hosts.

³¹ He placed another parable before them, saying: The kingdom of the heavens is similar to a kernel of a mustard-seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; ³² which indeed is least compared to all of the other seeds, but whenever it is grown, it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so-that the birds of the heaven come and nest in its branches.
³³ He spoke another parable to them: The kingdom of the heavens is similar to leaven, which a woman took and hid in three three-gallon containers of flour, until it was entirely leavened.

¹⁸ Now he said, The kingdom of God is similar to what? And what shall I make it similar to? ¹⁹ It is similar to a kernel of a mustard-seed, which a man took and cast into his own garden, and it grew and became a great tree, and the birds of the heaven nested in its branches.

⁴¹ Therefore indeed, they, who gladly accepted his word, were immersed, and approximately three thousand souls was added to them in that day.

⁴ But many of those who heard the word believed, and the number of the men happened to be approximately five thousand.

¹⁴ and more believers, multitudes of both men and women, were added to the Lord;

²⁰ So the word of the Lord was growing and prevailing in dominion.

²⁰ Now when they heard it, they were glorifying the Lord, having said to him, You are now viewing brother, how many tens of thousands there are of the Jews who have believed, and they are all zealous ones of the law;

¹⁵ And the seventh messenger sounded, and there became loud voices in heaven saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ and he will be reigning forevermore.

¹ And I saw a messenger coming down from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. ² And he took-hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and the Adversary, the one who is misleading the whole inhabited-earth and bound him a thousand years, ³ and cast him into the abyss and locked it and sealed it above him, in order that he may not mislead the nations anymore, till the thousand years might be completed. It is essential for him to be loosed for a little time after these things.
⁴ And I saw thrones and they sat upon them and judgment was given to them and I saw the souls of those who have been decapitated because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God and those who did not worship the beast, nor his image and did not receive the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand, and they lived and reigned with Christ the thousand years. ⁵ And the rest of the dead did not live till the thousand years might be completed. This is the first resurrection. ⁶ The fortunate and holy one is the one who has part in the first resurrection; the second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ and will be reigning with him a thousand years.

⁹ You prepared a place before it and it took deep root and filled the land. ¹⁰ The mountains were covered with the shadow of it and the branches of it were like cedars of God. ¹¹ It sent out its limbs to the sea and its offshoots to the River.

¹ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will abide under the shadow of the Almighty

³ As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight and his fruit was sweet to my taste.

⁹ They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters cover the sea.

² And a man will be as a hiding-place from the wind and a covert from the tempest, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a great rock in a weary land.

²⁰ The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of Jehovah, was taken in their pits, of whom we said, Under his shadow we will live among the nations.

³ Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches and with a forest-like shade and of high stature and its top was among the thick branches. ⁴ The waters nourished it. The deep made it to grow. The rivers of it ran all around its plantation and it sent out its channels to all the trees of the field.
⁵ Therefore its stature was exalted above all the trees of the field and its boughs were multiplied and its branches became long because of many waters, when it shot them forth. ⁶ All the birds of the heavens made their nests in its boughs and under its branches all the beasts of the field brought out their young and under its shadow dwelt all great nations.
⁷ Thus it was beautiful in its greatness, in the length of its branches, for its root was by many waters. ⁸ The cedars in the garden of God could not dim it. The fir trees were not like its boughs and the plane trees were not as its branches, nor was any tree in the garden of God like it in its beauty.
⁹ I made it beautiful by the multitude of its branches, so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied it.
¹⁰ Therefore thus said the lord Jehovah: Because you are exalted in stature and he has set his top among the thick branches and his heart is lifted up in his height,

¹⁰ Thus were the visions of my head upon my bed: I saw, and behold, a tree in the midst of the earth and the height of it was great. ¹¹ The tree grew and was strong and the height of it reached to heaven and the sight of it to the end of all the earth. ¹² The leaves of it were fine and the fruit of it much and food was in it for all. The beasts of the field had shadow under it and the birds of the heavens dwelt in the branches of it. And all flesh was fed from it.
¹³ I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and behold, a watcher and a holy one came down from heaven. ¹⁴ He cried aloud and said thus, Hew down the tree and cut off its branches. Shake off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts get away from under it and the fowls from its branches.

²⁰ The tree that you saw, which grew and was strong, whose height reached to heaven and the sight of it to all the earth, ²¹ whose leaves were fine and the fruit of it much and in it was food for all, under which the beasts of the field dwelt and upon whose branches the birds of the heavens had their habitation, ²² it is you, O king, who have grown and become strong. For your greatness has grown and reaches to heaven and your dominion to the end of the earth.

¹² I still have many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them now.

³⁶ Then Jesus, having left the crowds, went into the house and his disciples came to him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the darnels of the field.
³⁷ Now he answered and said to them, He who is sowing the good seed is the Son of Man; ³⁸ and the field is the world, and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, and the darnels are the sons of the evil one; ³⁹ and the enemy that sowed them is the devil and the harvest is the end of the world, and the reapers are messengers.

¹⁵ Now Peter answered and said to him, Explain to us the parable.
¹⁶ Now Jesus said, Are you also without understanding at this point? ¹⁷ Are you not yet perceiving, that whatever travels into the mouth makes room in the belly, and is cast out into the sewer? ¹⁸ But these things which are traveling from the mouth, come out from the heart, and they desecrate the man. ¹⁹ For out of the heart comes forth evil reasonings, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false testimonies, blasphemies. ²⁰ These things are what desecrate the man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not desecrate the man.

¹⁰ And when he happened to be alone, those who were around him together with the twelve, asked about the parable.

¹⁷ And when he entered into the house away from the crowd, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. ¹⁸ And he says to them, So are you also without understanding? Are you not perceiving, that whatever is outside, travels into the man, is not able to desecrate him; ¹⁹ because it is not traveling into his heart, but into his belly and travels into the sewer? ( He said thus, cleansing all foods.) ²⁰ Now he said, What travels out from the man, this desecrates the man. ²¹ For evil reasonings travel from inside, out of the heart of men, such as : adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, ²² greedy-acts, wickednesses, treachery, unbridled-lusts, an evil eye, blasphemy, haughtiness, foolishness. ²³ All these evil things travel from inside, and desecrate the man.

²⁷ And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he was clarifying for them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

⁴⁴ Now he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, being still together with you, that it is essential for all things to be fulfilled, which have been written in the Law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms, concerning me. ⁴⁵ Then he opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.


⁴⁶ And he said to them, Thus it has been written, that it was essential for the Christ to suffer and to rise up from the dead in the third day;

²⁵ I have spoken these things to you in metaphors, but the hour is coming, when I will no more be speaking to you in metaphors, but will be proclaiming to you frankly concerning the Father.

¹⁸ Now when Jesus saw large crowds around him, he gave commands to go away beyond-that area.

²³ And having stepped into the ship, his disciples followed him. ²⁴ And behold, a great squall happened in the sea, so-that the ship was hidden by the waves, but he was sleeping. ²⁵ And the disciples came to him and aroused him, saying, Save us Lord! We are perishing!
²⁶ And he says to them, Why are you cowardly? You of small faith! Then he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there became a great calm.
²⁷ Now the men marveled, saying, What sort of man is this, that even the winds and the sea are obeying him?

²² And immediately, Jesus urged the disciples to step into the ship, and to precede him to the area beyond-that, until he should dismiss the crowds.

²¹ And when Jesus had ferried over again in the ship to the area beyond-that, a large crowd was gathered to him, and he was beside the sea.

⁴⁵ And immediately he urged his disciples to step onto the ship, and to precede him to the area beyond-that into Bethsaida, until he should dismiss the crowd.

¹³ And he left them, and again stepping onto a ship, went away to the area beyond-that.

²² Now it happened on one of those days, that he stepped onto a ship, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, We should go over to the area beyond-that of the lake. And they set-sail.

²⁵ Now he said to them, Where is your faith?
But being afraid, they marveled, saying to one another, Who then is this, that he commands even the winds and the water and they are obedient to him?

¹ After these things, Jesus went away to the area beyond-that of the sea of Galilee, to the sea of Tiberias.

¹⁷ and having stepped into the ship and they were going beyond-that area of the sea to Capernaum. And it had already become dark and Jesus had not yet come to them.

²⁵ And when they found him beyond-that area of the sea, they said to him, Rabbi, when did you come here?

⁹ And he spoke to his disciples, in order that a small-boat should wait-on him because of the crowd, in order that they might not press against him;

¹ And again he began to teach beside the sea. And a large crowd was gathered together to him, so-that having stepped onto the ship, he sat in the sea, and all the crowd were next to the sea upon the land.

² And having come out of the ship, immediately a man encountered him out of the tombs in him was an unclean spirit,

¹² And Jehovah said to Satan, Behold, all that he has is in your power, only upon himself do not put forth your hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of Jehovah.

¹⁹ And behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness and killed* the four corners of the house and it fell upon the young men and they are dead and only I alone have escaped to tell you.

²³ Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters, ²⁴ these men see the works of Jehovah and his wonders in the deep.
²⁵ For he commands and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves of it. ²⁶ They mountain up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble. ²⁷ They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their wits' end.
²⁸ Then they cry to Jehovah in their trouble and he brings them out of their distresses. ²⁹ He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves of it are still. ³⁰ Then they are glad because they are quiet, so he brings them to their desired haven.
³¹ O that men would praise Jehovah for his loving kindness and for his wonderful works to the sons of men!

⁴ But Jehovah sent out a great wind upon the sea and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship was about to be broken.

²³ And having stepped into the ship, his disciples followed him. ²⁴ And behold, a great squall happened in the sea, so-that the ship was hidden by the waves, but he was sleeping.

²² Now it happened on one of those days, that he stepped onto a ship, himself and his disciples, and he said to them, We should go over to the area beyond-that of the lake. And they set-sail. ²³ But while sailing, he slept and a gale of wind came down onto the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in peril.

¹⁴ But not long after, a typhoon wind, being called Euroclydon, was cast against her; ¹⁵ and when the ship was seized and it was not able to face the wind, having given her to the wind, we were being carried along. ¹⁶ Now having ran under the lee of a certain isle called Clauda, we were strong-enough to become skippers of the boat with difficulty; ¹⁷ and they, having lifted it up, were using cables, undergirding the ship, and fearing lest they might fall upon the sandbars of Syrtis, they lowered the tackling and so we were being carried along. ¹⁸ But being extremely storm-tossed, the next day they were making a jettison of the cargo; ¹⁹ and the third day they tossed out the tackling of the ship with their own hands. ²⁰ But when neither sun nor stars appeared upon most days and not just a small storm was laying down upon us, all our hope to be saved was furthermore taken away.

⁴¹ But having fallen into a place at the intersection of two seas, they beached the cargo-ship, and indeed the prow stuck and remained unshakable, but the stern was being dissolved by the violence of the waves.

²⁵ I was lashed with rods three-times. I was stoned once. I was shipwrecked three-times. I have spent a night and a day in the depth of the sea;

²⁷ And it happened at noon, that Elijah mocked them and said, Cry aloud, for he is a god. Either he is meditating, or he has gone aside, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he sleeps and must be awakened. ²⁸ And they cried aloud and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lances, till the blood gushed out upon them.
²⁹ And it was so, when midday was past, that they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening oblation, but there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.

⁵ if you would seek diligently to God and make your supplication to the Almighty, ⁶ if you were pure and upright, surely now he would awake for you and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.

¹ Why do you stand afar off, O Jehovah? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
² The poor man is hotly-pursued in the pride of the wicked man. Let them be taken in the devices that they have conceived.

¹ My God, my God, why have you forsaken me, far from helping me and the words of my groaning? ² O my God, I cry in the daytime, but you do not answer; and in the night, and there is no silence for me.

²³ Awake, why do you sleep, O Lord? Arise, cast not off forever. ²⁴ Why do you hide your face and forget our affliction and our oppression?

⁷ Will the Lord cast off everlasting? And will he be favorable no more? ⁸ Has his loving kindness ceased forever? Does his promise come to an end in this generation? ⁹ Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he shut up his tender mercies in anger? Selah.
¹⁰ And I said, This is my infirmity, the change of the right hand of the Most High.

²⁷ Why do you say, O Jacob and speak, O Israel, My way is hid from Jehovah. And the justice due to me is passed away from my God?
²⁸ Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, Jehovah, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, nor is weary. There is no searching of his understanding.

¹⁴ But Zion said, Jehovah has forsaken me and the Lord has forgotten me. ¹⁵ Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you.
¹⁶ Behold, I have engraved you upon the palms of my hands. Your walls are continually before me.

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah. Awake, as in the days of long-ago, the generations of everlasting. Is it not you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster? ¹⁰ Is it not you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?

⁶ For Jehovah has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth when she is cast off, says your God.
⁷ For a small moment I have forsaken you, but with great mercies I will gather you. ⁸ In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting loving kindness I will have mercy on you, says Jehovah your Redeemer.

¹⁵ Look down from heaven and behold from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory. Where are your zeal and your mighty acts? The yearning of your heart and your compassions are restrained toward me.

¹² Will you restrain yourself for these things, O Jehovah? Will you hold your peace and afflict us very severely?

⁸ Yes, when I cry and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.

²⁵ And the disciples came to him and aroused him, saying, Save us Lord! We are perishing!

²⁴ Now having come to him, they aroused him, saying, Master, Master! We are perishing. But having arisen, he rebuked the wind and the wave of the water, and they ceased, and it became calm.

⁶ and Jacob’s well was there. Therefore, Jesus, being fatigued from his journey, was sitting thus upon the well. It was approximately the sixth hour.

¹⁷ Hence he was obligated to have been similar to his brethren according to all things, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high-priest in the things pertaining to God, that he should make atonement for the sins of the people.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high-priest who is unable to sympathize together with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted according to all things according to our likeness, yet without sin.

⁷ having tossed forth all your anxiety upon him, because there is care concerning you with him.

¹⁶ And lift you up your rod and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it and the sons of Israel will go into the midst of the sea on dry ground.

²² And the sons of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

²⁸ And the waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen, even all the army of Pharaoh who went in after them into the sea, there remained not so much as one of them. ²⁹ But the sons of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

¹¹ and said, This far you will come, but no farther and here your proud waves will be stayed?

¹⁰ Jehovah sat as King at the Flood. Yes, Jehovah sits as King everlasting.

⁷ who stills the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves and the tumult of the peoples.

⁹ You rule the pride of the sea. When the waves of it arise, you still them.

³ The floods have lifted up, O Jehovah, the floods have lifted up their voice, the floods lift up their waves. ⁴ Above the voices of many waters, the mighty breakers of the sea, Jehovah on high is mighty.

⁷ At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hastened away.
⁸ The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place which you had founded for them. ⁹ You have set a bound that they may not pass over, that they do not turn again to cover the earth.

²⁹ He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves of it are still.

⁸ fire and hail, snow and vapor, stormy wind, fulfilling his word,

²⁹ when he gave to the sea its boundary that the waters should not transgress his commandment, when he marked out the foundations of the earth,

²² Do you* not fear me? says Jehovah. Will you* not tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a everlasting decree, that it cannot pass it? And though the waves of it toss themselves, yet they cannot prevail, though they roar, yet they cannot pass over it.

³¹ For the Lord will not cast off everlasting.

⁴ He rebukes the sea and makes it dry and dries up all the rivers. Bashan languishes and Carmel and the flower of Lebanon languishes.

²⁵ Now when Jesus saw that a crowd was running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, I command you, the mute and deaf spirit, come out of him and enter into him no longer.

³⁹ And he stood above her and rebuked the fever, and it left her, and instantly, she rose up and was serving them.

¹ God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
² Therefore we will not fear, though the earth changes and though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas, ³ though the waters of it roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with the swelling of it. Selah.

³ A bruised reed he will not break and a dimly burning wick he will not quench, but he will bring forth justice in truth.

² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, nor will the flame kindle upon you.

³⁰ But if God so dresses-up the grass of the field, which is here today and the next-day is cast into the oven, will he not much more clothe you? You of small faith!

²⁶ And he says to them, Why are you cowardly? You of small faith! Then he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there became a great calm.

³¹ Now Jesus immediately stretched out his hand, and grabbed him, and says to him, You of small faith, why were you skeptical?

⁸ Now Jesus having known it, said to them, You of small faith, why are you reasoning among yourselves, because you took no bread?

¹⁹ Therefore, having rowed approximately twenty five or thirty furlongs, they view Jesus walking upon the sea and happening to be near the ship and they were afraid. ²⁰ But he says to them, I am here. Do not be afraid.

¹⁸ So Samuel called to Jehovah and Jehovah sent thunder and rain that day. And all the people greatly feared Jehovah and Samuel. ¹⁹ And all the people said to Samuel, Pray for your servants to Jehovah your God that we not die, for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask a king for us.
²⁰ And Samuel said to the people, Do not fear. You* have indeed done all this evil, yet do not turn aside from following Jehovah, but serve Jehovah with all your* heart.

²⁴ Only fear Jehovah and serve him in truth with all your* heart, for consider what great things he has done for you*.

⁷ a God very awesome in the council of the holy ones and to be feared above all those who are all around him?

⁹ And he said to them, I am a Hebrew and I fear Jehovah, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land.
¹⁰ Then the men were exceedingly afraid and said to him, What is this that you have done? For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of Jehovah, because he had told them.

¹⁵ So they took up Jonah and cast him forth into the sea and the sea ceased from its raging. ¹⁶ Then the men feared Jehovah exceedingly and they offered a sacrifice to Jehovah and made vows.

⁵ My covenant of life and peace was with him. And I gave them to him that he might fear and he feared me and stood in awe of my name.

²⁷ Now the men marveled, saying, What sort of man is this, that even the winds and the sea are obeying him?

³² And when they stepped into the ship, the wind pauses.

³³ But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what has happened upon her, came and fell down before him and spoke all the truth to him.

³⁷ And they were being abundantly astounded, saying, He has done all things well; he makes even the deaf to hear, and the mute to speak.

³⁶ And amazement came upon all, and they were speaking together with one another, saying, What is this word, because he commands the unclean spirits with authority and power, and they come out?

²⁸ Hence, receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us have gratitude, through which we give-divine service in ways well pleasing to God, with reverence and piety;

⁴ Who should never fear you, Lord, and should glorify your name? Because only you are holy, because all the nations will be coming and will be worshiping in your sight, because your righteousnesses were manifested.
