Proverbs 27:1 Cross References - MLV

¹ Do not boast in yourself of tomorrow, because you do not know what a day may bring forth.

¹⁹ Moreover Jehovah will deliver Israel also with you into the hand of the Philistines and tomorrow you and your sons will be with me. Jehovah will also deliver the army of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.

⁷ Because he is our God and we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of his hand.
Today, O that you* would hear his voice!

¹² Come you*, they say, I will fetch wine and we will fill ourselves with strong drink. And tomorrow will be as this day, great beyond measure.

¹⁹ And I will be saying to my soul, Soul, you have many good things laid up for many years; rest yourself, eat, drink, and be joyous.
²⁰ But God said to him, Fool, your soul is asked back from you in this night, and the things which you prepared, whose will they be?

² (for he says, ‘I heard you at an acceptable time and I helped you in a day of salvation;' behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation),

¹³ Come now, you who are saying, Today and the next-day, we should travel into this city and spend one year there and be a merchant and make a gain. ¹⁴ You do not know what the next-day will bring, for what is your life? For it will be a vapor, which appears for a few but thereafter also disappears. ¹⁵ Instead of that, you should say, If the Lord wills, and we should also live, then we might do this or that. ¹⁶ But now you boast in your self-importance. All such boasting is evil.
