³⁹ For you have girded me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

⁴⁰ For you have girded me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. ⁴¹ You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.

¹⁸ Is not Jehovah your* God with you*? And has he not given you* rest on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand and the land is subdued before Jehovah and before his people.

³² the God who girds me with strength and makes my way perfect?

²¹ Evil will kill the wicked and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.

³ Say to God, How awesome are your works! Through the greatness of your power your enemies will submit themselves to you.

³⁶ But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul.
All those who hate me love death.

¹⁴ Jehovah says thus: The labor of Egypt and the merchandise of Ethiopia and the Sabeans, men of stature, will come over to you and they will be yours. They will go after you. In chains they will come over and they will fall down to you. They will make supplication to you, saying, Surely God is in you and there is none else, no God.

⁵ Our pursuers are upon our necks. We are weary and have no rest.

²⁴ And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand. But I will break the arms of Pharaoh and he will groan before him with the groanings of a mortally wounded man.
²⁵ And I will hold up the arms of the king of Babylon and the arms of Pharaoh will fall down. And they will know that I am Jehovah when I will put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon and he will stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.

²³ He who hates me also hates my Father.

²⁵ For it is essential for him to reign, till whenever, he should place all his enemies under his feet. ²⁶ The last enemy done-away-with is death. ²⁷ For he has made all things subject under his feet. But whenever he says, All things are made subject, it is evident that it is all things unless it is the one who has subjected all things to him. ²⁸ But whenever all things have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to the one who did subject all things to him, in order that God may be all in all.

²² And he subjected all things under his feet and gave him to be head above all things to the congregation of believers,

²¹ He will fashion the body of our humbleness, that it may become transformed to the body of his glory, according to the working of which he is able to even subject all things to himself.
