¹⁶ When Dauid had made an ende of speaking all these wordes to Saul, Saul sayde: is this thy voyce my sonne Dauid? & he lifte vp hys voyce and wepte,

⁴ Esau ranne to mete hym & enbraced hym and fell on his necke & kissed hym, and they wepte.

¹⁷ Then Saul knew Dauids voyce and said: is this thy voyce my sonne Dauid? and Dauid sayde: it is my voyce my Lord kyng.

²⁵ Wherfore blame ye then the wordes, that are wel and truely spoken?

¹ A soft answere putteth downe displeasure. but frowarde words prouoke vnto anger.

¹¹ A worde speken in due season, is lyke apples of golde in a syluer dish.

¹⁵ For I wyll geue you a mouthe and wisdome, where against all youre aduersaries shall not be able to speake nor resyste.
