⁴ Then sayd the kynge to Ziba: beholde, thyne are all that pertayned vnto Miphiboseth. And Ziba aunswered: I beseche the that I maye fyude grace in thy syghte my Lorde Kynge.

⁸ Thou shalt take no gyftes, for gyftes blynd the seynge and peruerte the wordes of the ryghteous.

¹⁵ One witnesse shal not ryse agaynst a man in any maner tresspace or synne, what souer synne a man synneth: But at the mouthe of two witnesses or of .iii. witnesses shal al maters betryed.

²² And Ioab fell to the grounde on his face, & bowed him selfe and blessed the kinge and saide: now thy seruaunt knoweth that I haue founde grace in the sight of my Lorde the kyng in that he hath fulfylled the request of his seruaunt.

¹³ He that geueth sentence in a matter before he heare it, is a foole, & worthy to be confounded.

¹⁷ The rightuous accuseth hym selfe firste of al, if his neyghbour come, he shal fynd him.

² Where no discrecion is, ther the soule is not well: and who so is swyft on fote, stombleth hastly,
