⁷ And there fell a stryfe betwene the herdmen of Abrams cattell, and the herdmen of Lots cattell. Moreouer the Cananites & the Pheresytes dwelled at that tyme in the land.

¹⁹ And the costes of the Cananites were from Sydon tyll thou come to Gerara & to Asa, & tyl thou come to Sodoma, Gomorra, Adama, Zeboim, euen vnto Lasa.

⁶ And when they were come into the Lande of Canaan, Abram went forthe into the Lande tyl he came vnto a place called Sichem, & vnto the oke of More. And the Kananytes dwelled then in the lande.

¹⁸ And that same daye the Lorde made a couenaunte with Abram sayinge: vnto thy seed wyl I geue this land, from the riuer of Egypt, euen vnto the greate ryuer Euphrates, ¹⁹ the Kenytes, the Kenizites, the Cadmonites, ²⁰ the Hethites, the Pherezites, the Raphayms, ²¹ the Amorytes, the Canaanites, the Gergesytes and the Iebusytes.

²⁵ And Abraham rebuked Abimelech for a well of water, whych Abimelechs seruauntes had taken awaye.

²⁰ And the herdmen of Gerar did stryue with Isaacs herdmen, saying: the water is ours. Then called he the well Eseck, bicause they stroue with him.

³⁰ And Iacob sayd to Simeon and Leui: ye haue troubled me and made me stincke vnto the inhabitours of the Lande, boeth to the Canaanites and also vnto the Pherezites. And I am a fewe in numbre. Wherefore they shal gather them selues togyther against me & slee me, & so shal I and my house be destroied.

¹⁷ And the shepherdes came & droue them away: but Moyses stode vp & helped them, & watred their shepe.

⁹ And I sayde: It is not good that ye do. Oughte ye not to walcke in the feare of God because of the rebuke of the Heythen oure enemyes?

³ As longe verelye as there is amonge you enuiynge, stryfe and dissencion: are ye not carnall, and walke after the maner of men?

²⁰ Idolatrye wytchecrafte, hatred, varyaunce, zele, wrathe stryfe, sedityon, sectes,

¹⁴ Do al thinge wythout murmuringe and disputynge, ¹⁵ that ye maye be fauteles & pure, the sonnes of God wythout rebuke, in the middes of a croked and a peruerse nacyon, amonge whiche se that ye shine as lightes in the worlde,

⁵ Walke wiselye to them that are wythout and redeme the tyme.

¹² that ye may behaue your selues honestly towardes them that are wythout, and that nothinge be lackinge vnto you.

³ For we our selues also in tymes paste, vnwyse, dysobedient, deceyued, in daunger to lustes, and to dyuers maners of voluptuousnes, lyuyng in malycyousnes and enuye, ful of hate, hatyng one another.

¹⁶ For where enuiynge and stryfe is there is vnstablenes and all maner of euyll workes.

¹ From whence commeth warre & fyghtynge amonge you: come they not hear hence? euen of your voluptuousnes, that rayne in youre membres.

¹² and se that ye haue honest conuersacyon amonge the Gentyls, that they whiche backbyte you as euyll doars, maye se youre good workes and prayse God in the daye of visitacyon.
