And he sayde: If I fynde there .xl. and .v. I wil not destroy them. 29 And he spake vnto hym yet agayn and sayd: what yf there be .xl. founde there. And he sayde: I wyll not do it for fourtyes sake. 30 And he sayde: O let not my Lorde be angry, that I speake. What yf there be founde .xxx. there? And he sayde: I wyll not do it, yf I fynde .xxx. there. 31 And he sayd: Oh, se, I haue begonne to speake vnto my Lorde, what yf there be .xx. found there? And he sayd: I wyll not destroye them for twenties sake. 32 And he sayde: O let not my Lorde be angrye, that I speake yet, but euen once more oulye. What yf ten be found there? And he sayde: I wyll not destroy them for .x. sake. 33 And the Lorde went hys waye as soone as he had left commimyng wyth Abraham. And Abraham returned vnto hys place.

Exodus 32:10-14

10 & and nowe therfore suffer me that my wrath may waxe hote vpon them, and that I may consume them and then wyl I make of the a mightye people. 11 Then Moyses besoughte the Lorde hys God and sayde: O Lorde, why shoulde thy wrath waxe hote vpon thy people whiche thou hast brought out of the Lande of Egipt wt great power and with a mighty hande? 12 wherfore shuld the Egyptians speake & say: For a mychefe dyd he brynge them out: euen for to slee them in the mountayns, and to consume them from the face of the earth. I wyll multiplye youre seed as the starres of heauen, and all thys lande which I haue sayd, I wyll geue vnto youre seede: and they shal enheret it for euer 14 And the Lord refrained him selfe from the euil whych he sayed he wold do vnto his people.

Exodus 32:31-32

31 And Moses went agayne vnto the Lorde & sayd: Oh, thys people haue synned a great synne & haue made them a god of gold: 32 Yet forgeue them their synne I praye the: If not wype me out of thy boke which thou hast written.

Exodus 34:9

9 & said: If I haue found grace in thy sight, O Lorde, then let my Lorde go wyth vs (for it is a stubburne people) & haue mercy vpon our wickednes & our sinne, and let vs be thyne enheritaunce.

Numbers 14:13-20

13 And Moses sayd vnto the Lorde: then the Egyptians shall heare it, for thou broughtest thys people wyth thy myghte from among them. 14 And it wylbe told to the inhabiters of thys land also, for they haue heard likewyse, that thou the Lord arte among thys people, & that thou art sene face to face, and that thy cloude standeth ouer them & that thou goest before them by day tyme in a pyller of a cloud and in a pyller of fire by night. 15 If thou shalt kyl al thys people as they were but one man then the nacions which haue herde the fame of the, wyl speake saying: 16 because the Lorde was not able to brynge in thys people in to the land which he sware vnto them, therfore he slewe them in the wyldernesse. 17 So nowe let the power of my Lorde be greate, acordyng as thou hast spoken saying: 18 the Lord is longe year he be angrye, and ful of mercy, and suffereth synne and trespace, and leaueth no man innocent, and vysyteth the vnrighteousnesse of the fathers vpon the chyldren, euen vpon the thyrd and fourth generacion, 19 be mercyfull I beseche the therfore vnto the synne of thys people according vnto thy greate mercy, and accordyng as thou hast forgeuen thys people from Egypt euen vnto thys place. 20 And the Lorde sayde: I haue forgeuen it, accordyng to thy request.

Numbers 16:45-48

45 Get you from this congregation, that I may consume them quyckely. And they fel vpon theyr faces. 46 And Moses sayd vnto Aaron: take a censer, and put fyre therein out of the alter, and poure on cense, and go quickely vnto the congregation and make an atonement for them For there is wrath gone out from the Lord and ther is a plage begone. 47 And Aaron toke as Moses commaunded hym, and ran vnto the congregation, & beholde, the plage was begonne amonge the people, and he putt on cense, & made an atonemente for the people. 48 And he stode betwene the deade, & them that were a lyue and the plage ceased.

Numbers 21:7

7 And the people came to Moses and sayed: we haue sinned, for we haue spoken agayust the Lord and againste the, make intercession to the lorde, that he take away the serpentes from vs. And Moses made intercession for the people.

Deuteronomy 9:19-20

19 For I was afrayed of the wrath and fearcenes wherwith the Lorde was angry wyth you, euen to haue destroyed you. But the Lorde hearde my peticion at that tyme also. 20 The Lorde was very angry with Aaron also, euen for to haue destroyed hym: But I made intercession for Aaron also the same tym
