¹ And after that, I heard the voice of much people in heauen saying Alleluia. Saluacion and glory and honoure, & power be ascribed to the Lorde oure God, ² for true and ryghteous are his iudgementes, for he hath iudged that great whore, whiche dyd corrupte the earth with her fornicacion, & hath auenged the bloude of his seruauntes of her hand. ³ And again they said: Alleluia. And smoke rose vp for euermore. ⁴ And the .xxiij. elders, & the .iiij. beastes fel doune, & worshipped God that sate on the seat sayinge: Amen Alleluia. ⁵ And a voice came out of the seate, saying: prayse our Lord God all ye that are his seruauntes, and ye that feare him both smalle and great. ⁶ And I heard the voice of much people, euen as the voice of many waters & as the voice of strong thondringes, saying: Alleluia, for God omnipotent reigneth. ⁷ Let vs be glad & reioyse & geue honour to him, for the mariage of the lambe is come, and hys wyfe made her selfe readye. ⁸ And to her was graunted that she shoulde be arayed wyth pure and goodlye Raynes. For the Raynes is the ryghtuousnesse of Saynctes. ⁹ And he sayed vnto me, happye are they whyche are called vnto the Lambes supper. And he said vnto me, these are true sayinges of God. ¹⁰ And I fell at his feete, to worshippe him. And he sayed vnto me, se thou do it not. For I am thy felowe seruaunt, & one of thy brethren, & of them that haue the testimony of Iesus. Worshippe God. For the testimony of Iesus is the spirit of prophesye. ¹¹ And I sawe heauen open, & beholde a whyt horsse: and he that sate vpon hym was faythful and true, & in rightuousnes dyd he iudge & make battayl. ¹² His eyes were as a flame of fyre, and on hys head were manye crounes, and he had a name wrytten, that no man knewe but he hym self. ¹³ And he was clothed with a vesture dipt in bloud, & his name is called the worde of God. ¹⁴ And the warryers whiche were in heauen, folowed hym vpon whyte horsses, clothed with whyte & pure raynes: ¹⁵ & out of hys mouthe went out a sharpe swearde, that with it he should smyte the heathen. And he shal rule them wyth a rod of Iron, & he trode the wine fat of the fiercenes & wrath of almightye God. ¹⁶ And hath on hys vesture & on hys thighe a name wrytten: king of kinges, & Lord of Lordes, ¹⁷ And I sawe an angel stand in the sunne & he cryed wyth a loud voyce, saiyng to al the foules that flye by the myndes of heauen come & gather youre selues together vnto the supper of the great God, ¹⁸ that ye may eate the flesh of kinges, & of hye captaynes, & the fleshe of myghty men, and the flesh of horsses, & of them that sit on them, & the flesh of all free men & bonde men, & of small & great. ¹⁹ And I sawe the beast and the kynges of the earth, & theyr warriers gathered together to make battayl against him that sat on the horse & agaynst hys souldyers. ²⁰ And the beast was taken, & with hym that false prophete that wrought miracles before him with which he deceyued them that receiued the beastes marke, & them that worshipped his Image These both were cast into a ponde of fyre burnyng with brimstone: ²¹ and the remnaunte were slayne with the swerd of him that sate vpon the horse, which swerd proceded out of his mouth & all the foules were fulfilled with their flesh.

¹¹ Thyne (O Lorde) is greatenesse, power glorye, vyctorye and prayse: for all that is in heauen and in earthe is thyne, and thyne is the kyngedome (O Lorde) and thou arte lyfte vp an head aboue all.

⁸ Helpe belongeth vnto the Lorde, therfore let thy blessynge be vpon thy people.

¹ Prayse the euerlastynge. O geue thankes vnto the Lorde, for he is gracyous, and hys mercy endureth for euer.

¹ Prayse the euerlastynge. I wyll geue thanckes vnto the Lorde wyth my whole herte: secretly amonge the faythful and in the congregacyon:

¹⁸ But we wil prayse the Lord, from this time forth for euermore. Prayse the euerlastynge.

¹ Prayse the euerlastyng. Prayse the Lorde, O my soule:

¹ Prayse the euerlastyng. O prayse the Lorde of heauen, prayse hym in the heygth.

¹ Prayse the euerlastynge. O synge vnto the Lorde a newe songe, let the congregacion of saynctes prayse hym.

¹ Prayse the euerlastyng. O prayse the Lord in his Sanctuary, prayse hym in the fyrmament of hys power.

⁹ But I wyll do the sacryfyce wyth the voyce of thankesgeuynge, and wil paye that I haue vowed: for why? saluacion commeth of the Lorde.

¹³ And lead vs not into temptaciou. But delyuer vs from euyll. For thyne is the kingdome and the power, and the glorye for euer Amen.

¹⁶ Not wythstandyng for this cause was mercye geuen vnto me that Iesus christ shoulde fyrste shewe on me all longe pacience vnto the ensample of them whiche shal in tyme to come beleue on hym vnto eternall lyfe. ¹⁷ So then vnto God, kyng euerlastyng, immortall, inuysyble, and wyse onely, be honoure & prayse for euer and euer. Amen.

¹⁰ the .xxiiij. elders fel doune before him that sate on the throne, and worshypped him that lyueth for euer, and cast their crounes before the throne, saiynge: ¹¹ thou art worthy Lorde to receiue glory and honour and power, for thou hast created al thinges, and for thy wylles sake they are and were created.

⁹ and they songe a new songe saiyng: thou art worthy to take the boke, and to open the seales therof: for thou wast kylled, & hast redemed vs by thy bloud out of al kynredes, and tonges, and people, and nacions ¹⁰ and hast made vs to our God, kynges, and priestes, & we shal reigne on the earth. ¹¹ And I behelde, and I heard the voyce of many angels about the throne, and about the beastes, and the elders, and I heard thousande thousandes, ¹² sayinge wyth a loud voyce: Worthy is the lamb that was kylled to receiue power, and riches, and wysdome, and strength, and honoure, & glorye and blessing. ¹³ And al creatures whiche are in heauen, and on the earth, and vnder the earth, and in the sea, and al that are in them hearde I saiynge: blessing, honour, glory, and power be vnto him that sytteth vpon the seate, and to the Lambe for euermore.

¹⁰ and cried with a loude voyce, saying: saluacion be ascribed to him that sitteth vpon the seate of our God, and vnto the lamb. ¹¹ And all the Angelles stode in the compasse of the seate, and of the elders, and of the .iiij. beastes, and fell before the seate on theyr faces, & worshipped God ¹² saying, Amen: Blessing and glory, wisdome, and thankes, and honoure, and power & mighte, be vnto our God for euermore: Amen.

¹⁵ And the seuenth angell blewe, and there were made greate voyces in heauen, sayinge: the kyngdomes of thys worlde are oure Lordes and hys Christes, & he shall raygne for euer more.

¹⁰ And I hearde a loude voyce sayinge: in heauen is nowe made saluacyon, and strength and the kyngdome of our God, and the power of hys Christe. For he is caste doune, whyche accused them before God daye and nyghte.

¹ And after that I saw another angel come from heauen, hauinge greate power, & the earth was lightened wt his brighnes. ² And he cryed mightely with a strong voyce, saing: Great Babylon is fallen, is fallen: and is become the habitacion of deuilles, and the holde of al foule spyrytes, and a cage of al vncleane and hateful byrdes, ³ for al nacyons haue dronken of the wyne of the wrath of her fornicacion. And the kinges of the earth haue committed fornicacion wyth her, & her marchauntes are wexed riche of the aboundance of her pleasures. ⁴ And I hearde another voice from heauen say: Come awaye from her my people, that ye be not partakers in her sinnes, & that ye receiue not of her plages. ⁵ For his sonnes are gone vp to heauen, & God hath remembred her wickednes. ⁶ Reward her euen as she rewarded you, & geue her double accordinge to her workes. And youre in double to her in the same cuppe, which she fylled vnto you. ⁷ And as muche as she glorified her selfe and lyued wantonly, so muche poure ye in for her of punishment, & sorowe, for she said in her herte: I sytte being a quene and am no wydowe, and shall se no sorowe. ⁸ Therfore shal her plages come at one daye, death, and sorowe, and honger, and she shalbe brente wyth fyre, for stronge is the Lorde God, whiche iudgeth her. ⁹ And the kynges of the earth shal bewepe her & wayle ouer her, which haue committed fornicacion with her, & haue lyued wantonly with her, when they shal se the smoke of her burning, ¹⁰ & shal stand a farre of, for feare of her punishmente, saying: Alas, Alas, that great citie Babilon, that myghty cytie. For at one houre is her iudgemente come. ¹¹ And the marchauntes of the earth, shal wepe and wayle in them selues, for no man wil bye their ware anye more, ¹² the ware of gold, & syluer, & precious stones, neither of pearle, sylke, and raynes, & purple, & skarled, and al thin wode, & all maner vessels of iuory, & al maner vessels of most precious wode, and of brasse, and of Iron, ¹³ & sinamome, and odoures, and oyntmentes, & frankinsence, and wine, and oyle, and fine floure, and wheat, beastes, and shepe, and horsses, & charrettes, and bodyes, and soules of men. ¹⁴ And the apples that thy soule lusted after are departed from the. And al thinges which were deyntye, & had in price are departed from the, & thou shalt finde them no more. ¹⁵ The marchauntes of these thinges, which were wexed riche shal stand a farre of from her, for feare of the punishement of her, weping & waylynge, ¹⁶ & saying: alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in raines, & purple, and scarlet, & decked wt gold, & precious stones, & pearles, ¹⁷ for at one hour so great riches is come to nought. And euery shyp gouerner, & al they that occupied shippes, & shipmen which worke in the sea, stode a farre of ¹⁸ & cried, when they saw the smoke of her burninge, sayinge: what citie is lyke vnto this great citie? ¹⁹ And they cast duste on their heades, & cried weping, & wailing, & said: Alas, alas the greate citye wherin were made riche al that had shippes in the sea, by the reason of her costlines, for at one houre is she made desolate. ²⁰ Reioice ouer her thou heauen, and ye holy Apostles, & prophetes: for God hath geuen your iudgemente on her. ²¹ And a mighty angel toke vp a stone lyke a greate mylstone, & cast it into the sea, saying: wyth such violence shal that greate citie Babilon be caste, and shalbe found no more. ²² And the voice of harpers, & musicions, and of pipers, & trompeters, shalbe hearde no more in the, and no craftes man, of whatsoeuer crafte he be, shalbe founde any more in the, & the sound of a myl, shalbe hard no more in the, ²³ and the voice of the brydegrome and of the bryde, shalbe hard no more in the, for thy marchauntes were the greate men of the earth. And wt thyne inchauntment were deceiued al nacions, ²⁴ & in her was found the bloud of the prophetes, and of the sainctes and of al that were slayne vpon the earth.

³ And again they said: Alleluia. And smoke rose vp for euermore. ⁴ And the .xxiij. elders, & the .iiij. beastes fel doune, & worshipped God that sate on the seat sayinge: Amen Alleluia.

⁶ And I heard the voice of much people, euen as the voice of many waters & as the voice of strong thondringes, saying: Alleluia, for God omnipotent reigneth.

⁴ He is a rocke and perfect are his dedes for al hys wayes are with descrecion. God is faythful, & without wyckednes, both ryghtuouse and iust is he.

³⁵ Vengeaunce is mine, and I wyll reward: theyr fete shall slyde, when the tyme cometh. For the tyme of theyr destruccion is at hand, & the tyme that shal come vpon them maketh hast.

⁴³ Prayse ye heathen hys people, for he wil auenge the bloude of hys seruauntes, & wyl auenge hym of his aduersaries, and wyll be merciful vnto the land of hys people.

⁷ that thou sleye the housholde of Ahab thy mayster. For I (sayth the Lorde) wyll aduenge the bloud of my seruauntes the Prophetes, and the bloud of all the seruauntes of the Lorde, of the hand of Iezabel

⁹ The feare of the Lorde is cleane, and endureth for euer: the iudgementes of the Lord are true and ryghtuous altogether.

¹ O Lorde, thou arte my God, I wil praise the, & magnifie thy name. For thou bryngest maruelous thinges to passe, accordinge to thyne olde councels, truly & stedfastly.

¹⁰ and they cryed wyth a loude voyce sayinge: Howe longe tariest thou Lord holy and true, to iudge and to auenge oure bloud on them that dwell on the earth?

³ and they songe the songe of Moises the seruaunt of God, & they songe of the lamb, sayinge: Great & maruelous are thy workes Lorde God almighty, iuste & true are thy wayes kynge of sainctes.

⁵ And I heard an angel say: Lord which art & wast, thou art rightuous & holy, because thou hast geuen such iudgementes, ⁶ for they shed out the bloud of sainctes, & prophetes, & therfore hast thou geuen them bloud to drinke, for they are worthy. ⁷ And I heard another out of the aulter saye, euen so Lord God almyghty, true, and ryghtuous are thy iudgementes.

¹ And there came one of the seuen angelles, which had the seuen vialls, and talked with me, saiynge vnto me, come I wil shew the, the iudgement of the great whore that sytteth vpon manye waters, ² wt whom haue committed fornicacion the kinges of the earth so that the inhabiters of the earth, are drounken wyth the wyne of her fornicacion.

¹⁵ And he sayde vnto me, the waters whyche thou saweste, where the whore sitteth are people, and folke, and nacions & tounges. ¹⁶ And the ten hornes, which thou sawest vpon the beast, are they that shal hate the whore, & shal make her desolate and naked, and shal eate her flesh and burne her wyth fyre.

³ for al nacyons haue dronken of the wyne of the wrath of her fornicacion. And the kinges of the earth haue committed fornicacion wyth her, & her marchauntes are wexed riche of the aboundance of her pleasures.

⁹ And the kynges of the earth shal bewepe her & wayle ouer her, which haue committed fornicacion with her, & haue lyued wantonly with her, when they shal se the smoke of her burning, ¹⁰ & shal stand a farre of, for feare of her punishmente, saying: Alas, Alas, that great citie Babilon, that myghty cytie. For at one houre is her iudgemente come.

²⁰ Reioice ouer her thou heauen, and ye holy Apostles, & prophetes: for God hath geuen your iudgemente on her.

²⁸ and loked toward Sodome and Gomorra and towarde all the lande of that contre. And as he loked: behold the smoke of the countre arose as it had bene the smoke of a fornace.

¹⁰ so that it shall not be quenched daye ner nyght: But smoke euermore, and so forth to lye waste. And no man shall go thorowe thy lande for euer:

⁷ euen as Sodome and Gomor, and the cytyes about them (which in lyke maner defyled them selues with fornicacyon, and folowed straunge fleshe) are sette forth for an ensample, and suffer the vengeaunce of eternal fyre.

¹¹ And the smoke of their tormente ascendeth vp euermore. And they haue no rest daye nor night, which worship the beaste & his ymage, and whosoeuer receiueth the prynt of hys name.

⁹ And the kynges of the earth shal bewepe her & wayle ouer her, which haue committed fornicacion with her, & haue lyued wantonly with her, when they shal se the smoke of her burning,

¹⁸ & cried, when they saw the smoke of her burninge, sayinge: what citie is lyke vnto this great citie?

¹ And after that, I heard the voice of much people in heauen saying Alleluia. Saluacion and glory and honoure, & power be ascribed to the Lorde oure God,

³⁶ Blessed be the Lorde God of Israel for euer and euer, and al nacyons saye Amen, so praysing the lord.

¹³ And I shoke my lappe, and sayde: God shake oute euerye man after the same maner from hys house and laboure, that maynteyneth not thys worde: euen thus be he shaken oute, and voyde. And all the congregacyon sayde: Amen, and praysed the Lorde. And the people dyd so.

⁶ And Esdras praysed the Lorde the greate God. And all the people answered Amen, Amen, with theyr handes vp, & bowed them selues, & worshipped the Lorde with theyr faces to the grounde.

¹³ O blessed be the Lorde God of Israel, from hence forth and for euermore. Amen. Amen.

¹⁹ And blessed be the name of his maiesty for euer, and al landes be fulfilled with his glory. Amen, Amen.

⁵² Thankes be too the Lorde for euermore: Amen: Amen.

⁴⁸ Blessed be the Lorde God of Israel from euerlastyng and world without ende, and let all people saye: Amen, Amen. Prayse the euerlastynge.

⁶ And the Prophet Ieremye sayd: Amen: the Lord do that, & graunt the thynge, whiche thou hast prophecyed: that he maye brynge agayne all the ornamentes of the Lordes house, and restore all the presonners from Babylon into the place.

²⁰ Teachyng then to obserue all thynges whatsoeuer I commaunded you, And lo I am with you alwaye, euen vntyll the ende of the worlde.

¹⁶ For els when thou blessest with the spirite howe shal he that occupieth the roume of the vnlearned saye amen at thy geuynge of thankes, saynge: he vnderstandeth not what thou sayeste?

⁴ And about the seate were .xxiiij. seates. And vpon the seates .xxiiij. elders syttynge clothed in whyte rayment, & had on their heades crounes of golde. ⁵ And out of the seate proceded lyghteninges, and thonderinges, and voyces, and there were seuen lampes of fyre, burninge before the seate, whiche are the seuen spirites of God. ⁶ And before the seate there was a sea of glasse lyke vnto a Crystal, and in the middes of the seate, and roundabout the seat were .iiij. beastes full of eyes before and behinde, ⁷ and the fyrste beast was lyke a Lyon, the second beast lyke a calfe, and the thyrde beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beaste was lyke a fliyng egle. ⁸ And the .iiij. beastes had eche one of them .vi. wynges about him, and they were full of eies wythin. And they had no reste, daye neither nyghte sayinge. Holye, holye, holy, Lord God almyghtye, whyche was and is, and is to come. ⁹ And when those beastes gaue glorye and honour, and thankes to him that sate on the seate, whiche lyueth for euer and euer, ¹⁰ the .xxiiij. elders fel doune before him that sate on the throne, and worshypped him that lyueth for euer, and cast their crounes before the throne, saiynge:

²³ O praise the Lord ye that feare him: Magnify hym all ye sede of Iacob, and let al the sede of Israel feare hym.

²⁰ O prayse the Lorde ye aungels of his, ye that be myghty in strength fulfyllynge hys commaundement that men may here the voice of hys wordes. ²¹ O prayse the Lorde all ye his Hostes, yea seruauntes of his, that do hys pleasure. ²² O speake good of the Lorde al ye workes of his, in euery place of his dominion: praise thou the Lorde, O my soule.

¹ The song of the steares Behold, O praise the Lord, al ye seruantes of the Lorde, ye that by night stande in the house of the Lord.

¹ Prayse the euerlastynge. O praise the name of the Lord prayse it O ye seruauntes of the Lorde.

¹⁹ Prayse the Lord ye house of Israel, praise the Lorde ye house of Aaron. ²⁰ Prayse the Lorde, ye house of Leui, ye that feare the Lorde, prayse the Lorde.

¹¹ Kynges of the earth and all people, Prynces and iudges of the worlde. ¹² Yonge men and maydens, olde men and chyldren: ¹³ let them prayse the name of the Lord, for his name only is excellent, and his prayse aboue heauen and earth.

⁶ Let euery thing that hath breth, prayse the Lorde. Prayse the euerlastynge.

¹⁵ therfore are they in the presence of the seate of God and serue hym daye and nyghte in his temple, and he that sitteth in the seate wyl dwell amonge them.

¹⁸ And the nacyons were angrye, and thy wrath is come, and the tyme of the dead that they shoulde be iudged and that thou shouldeste geue rewarde vnto thy seruauntes the Prophetes and saynctes, and to them that feare thy name small and greate, and shouldeste destroye them, whyche destroye the earth. ¹⁹ And the temple of God was opened in heauen, and there was sene in hys temple the arcke of hys testamente, and there folowed lyghtenynges, and voyces, and thonderynge and eartquake and muche hayle

¹⁷ And the .vij. angel poured out his vial into the aire. And there came a voice out of heauen from the seate, sayinge: it is done.

¹² And I sawe the deade, both great and small stande before God: & the bokes were opened, & an other boke was opened, which is the boke of lyfe, and the dead were iudged of those thynges: which were wrytten in the bokes accordyng to theyr deedes:

⁹ Is thyne arme then lyke the arme of God? Maketh thy voyce such a sound as hys doeth?

³ It is the Lorde that commaunded the waters: It is the gloryus God that maketh the thonder: it is the Lorde that ruleth the sea. ⁴ The voyce of the Lorde is mighty in operacyon, the voice of the Lorde is a glorius voyce. ⁵ The voyce of the Lorde breaketh the Cedre trees: yea the Lorde breaketh the Ceders of Libanus. ⁶ He maketh them to skyppe lyke a calfe: Libanus and Sirion lyke a younge vnicorne ⁷ The voyce of the Lorde deuydeth the flames of fyre: ⁸ the voice of the Lorde shaketh the wylderuesse, yea the Lorde shaketh the wildernesse of Cades. ⁹ The voyce of the Lorde moueth the hyndes and discouereth the thicke bushes: in hys temple shall euerye man speake of hys honoure.

² For the Lord the most hyest is to be feared, and he is the great kyng vpon all the earth.

⁷ For God is kyng of all the earth, O sing prayses vnto hym with vnderstandynge.

¹⁸ The thonder was hearde rounde aboute, the lyghtenynges shone vpon the grounde, the earth was moued and shoke wyth al.

¹ The Lorde is kyng, and hath put on glorious apparell, the Lorde hath put on his apparell, & gyrded him selfe with strengthe: he hath made the rounde world so sure, that it can not be moued.

¹ The Lord is king, the earth may be glad therof: yea, the multitude of the Iles may be glad therof.

¹² Reioyse therfore in the lorde, ye ryghteous: and geue thankes for a remembraunce of hys holinesse.

¹ The Lorde is kynge, be the people neuer so vnpaciente: he sytteth vpon the Cherubyns, be the earth neuer so vnquiete.

⁷ O howe bewtyfull are the fete of the Embassytoure, that bryngeth the message from the mountaine, and proclameth peace, that bringeth the good tydynges, and preacheth health, and sayeth vnto Syon. Thy God is the kynge.

⁴⁸ Heauen and earth with all that is therin, shall reioyce ouer Babylon, when the destroyers shall come vpon her from the North, sayeth the Lorde.

²⁴ And when they wente forth, I hearde the noyse of their wynges, lyke the noyse of greate waters, as it had bene the voyce of the greate God, and a russhynge together as it were of an hoost of men. And when they stode styll, they let downe their wynges.

² Beholde, then came the glorye of the God of Israell from out of the east, whose voyce was lyke a greate noyse of waters, and the earth was lyghtened wyth hys glory.

¹⁵ & hys fete lyke vnto brasse, as thoughe they brent in a fornace: & his voice as the sound of many waters.

⁵ And out of the seate proceded lyghteninges, and thonderinges, and voyces, and there were seuen lampes of fyre, burninge before the seate, whiche are the seuen spirites of God.

¹ And I saw when the Lambe opened one of the seales, and I hearde one of the .iiij. beastes saye, as it were the noyse of thonder, come and se.

⁵ And the angell toke the senser, and fylled it wyth fyre of the aultare, and caste it into the earth, and voyces were made, and thonderinges and lighteninges, and earth quakes.

¹⁵ And the seuenth angell blewe, and there were made greate voyces in heauen, sayinge: the kyngdomes of thys worlde are oure Lordes and hys Christes, & he shall raygne for euer more. ¹⁶ And the .xxiiij. elders, whyche sit before God on their seates, fell vpon theyr faces, and worshipped God, ¹⁷ sayinge: we geue the thankes Lord GOD almyghty, whyche arte and wast, and arte to come, for thou hast receyued thy greate myght and hast reigned. ¹⁸ And the nacyons were angrye, and thy wrath is come, and the tyme of the dead that they shoulde be iudged and that thou shouldeste geue rewarde vnto thy seruauntes the Prophetes and saynctes, and to them that feare thy name small and greate, and shouldeste destroye them, whyche destroye the earth.

² And I hearde a voice from heauen, as the sounde of manye waters, and as the voice of a greate thunder. And I hearde the voyce of harpers harping with their harpes.

²² And there was no temple therein. For the Lord God almyghty & the lambe are the temple of it

¹ And Hannah prayd & sayd: myne herte reioyseth in the Lord, myne horne is hye in the Lorde, & my mouthe is wyde open ouer mine enemyes, for I reioyse in thy sauynge.

¹⁴ That I maye shewe all thy prayses within the portes of the daughter of Sion, and reioyse in thy sauynge health.

¹⁰ Herken (O daughter) considre, & enclyne thyne eare: forget thyne owne people, & thy fathers house. ¹¹ So shall the kynge haue pleasure in thy beuty, for he is thy Lorde, & thou shalte worshyp hym. ¹² The daughters of Tire shalbe there with gyftes, the ryche amonge the people shall make their supplication before the. ¹³ The kynges daughter is all glorious within, her clothyng is of wrought golde. ¹⁴ She shalbe brought vnto the kyng in rayment of nedle worke, & maidens after her: such as be next her shalbe brought vnto the. ¹⁵ Wyth ioye and gladnesse shall they be brought, & go into the kynges palace. ¹⁶ In steade of thy fathers thou hast gotten chyldren, whome thou shalt make princes in all landes.

¹¹ Oh let the mount Sion reioyse, and the daughters of Iuda be glad because of iudgementes.

¹ O come let vs prayse the Lord, let vs hertely reioyse in the strength of our saluacion. ² Let vs come before his presence with thankesgeuynge, & shewe oure selfe gladde in hym with Psalmes. ³ For the Lord is a great God, and a great kyng aboue all Goddes.

¹ A Psalme of praise. O be ioiful in God (al ye landes) ² serue the Lorde with gladnes, come before his presence wyth ioye.

⁴² The righteous will considre this & reioyse, the mouth of all wyckednesse shalbe stopped.

² Wher the rightuous haue the ouer hand the people are in prosperitye: but wher the vngodly beareth rule, ther the people mourne.

¹¹ Go forth (O ye daughters of Sion) and beholde Kynge Salomon in the crowne wherwyth his mother crowned him in the day of his mariage, and in the daye of the gladnesse of hys herte.

¹ Vp Syon vp, take thy strengthe vnto the: put on thyne honeste rayment O Ierusalem, thou citie of the holye one. For from thys tyme forthe, there shall no vncyrcumcysed nor vncleane person come in the.

⁵ And lyke as a younge man taketh a doughter to mariage, so shall God mary him selfe vnto thy sonnes. And as a brydegrome is glad of his bride, so shall God reioyse ouer the.

¹⁰ Reioyse with Ierusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that loue her. Be ioyful with her, all ye that mourneth for her.

¹⁴ And when ye se thys, youre herte shall reioyse, and youre bones shall floryshe lyke an herbe. Thus shall the hande of the Lorde be knowne amonge his seruauntes, and his indignacyon amonge his enemyes.

¹⁹ Thus will I marye the vnto myne owne selfe for euermore: yea, euen to my selfe wil I marye the, in righteousnesse, in equyte, in louinge kindnesse and mercye. ²⁰ In fayth also will I mary the vnto my selfe, and thou shalt know the Lorde.

⁹ Reioyce thou greatly, O doughter Syon, be glad, O doughter Ierusalem. For lo, thy king commeth vnto the, euen the ryghteous & Sauioure: Lowly and simple is he, he rydeth vpon an asse, & vpon the foale of an asse.

² The kyngdome of heauen is like vnto a certayne kynge, whiche maryed hys sonne,

¹ Then the kingdome of heauen shalbe lykened vnto ten virgins, which toke their lampes and went to mete the bridegrom, ² Fyue of them were folyshe, & fyue were wise. ³ The folyshe toke theyr lampes, but toke none oyle with them. ⁴ But the wise toke oyle with them in their vessels with their lampes also. ⁵ Whyle the brydegrome taried, al slombred and slepte. ⁶ And euen at midnight there was a crye made: beholde, the brydegrome cometh, goo out againste hym. ⁷ Then all those virgins arose, and prepared their lampes. ⁸ And the folishe sayed to the wise: gyue vs of your oyle for oure lampes go out. ⁹ But the wyse aunswered sayinge not so, least there be not ynough for vs and you: but go rather to them that sell & by for your selues. ¹⁰ And whyle they went to bye the brydegrome came: and they that were redie, went in wyth hym to the weddinge, and the gate was shut vp.

³⁶ and ye youre selues lyke vnto men, that wayte for theyr maister, when he wyll returne from a weddyng: that assone as he commeth and knocketh, they may open vnto hym.

²⁹ He that hath the bryde is the brydegrome. But the frend of the brydegrom, whiche standeth by and heareth him reioyseth greatlye of the brydegromes voyce. Thys my ioye is fulfilled.

² For I am gelous ouer you with godly gelousye. For I coupled you to one man, to make you a chaste virgyn to Christe.

²³ For the husbande is the wyues head, euen as Christe is the heade of the congregation, and the same is the sauiour of the body.

³² Thys is a greate secrete, but I speake betwene Christe and the congregation.

³ For we are cyrcumcysion, whyche worship God in the spirite, and reioyce in Christe Iesu, and haue no confidence in the fleshe,

⁹ And he sayed vnto me, happye are they whyche are called vnto the Lambes supper. And he said vnto me, these are true sayinges of God.

² And I Iohn saw that holye cyty new Ierusalem come doune from God out of heauen prepared as a bryd garnyshed for her husband

⁹ And there came vnto nie one of the .vij. aungels which had the .vij. vials ful of the .vij. last plages: & talked with me saiyng: come hyther I wil shewe the the bryde, the lambes wyfe.

⁹ Let thy Preastes be clothed wyth rightuousnesse, and let thy saynctes reioyse.

¹⁰ And therfore I am ioyful in the Lorde, and my soule reioyseth in my God. For he shall put vpon me the garment of health, & couer me with the mantle of righteousnes. He shal decke me lyke a brydegrom, and as a bryde that hath her apparell vpon her.

¹⁰ I gaue the chaunge of raymentes, I made the shues of Tarus lether: I gyrthed the about with whyte sylcke, I clothed the with kerchues,

² and was transfigured before them, and his face did shyne as the sunne and hys clothes were as whyte as the light:

¹² and sayd vnto hym, frend howe fortuned it that thou camest in hyther, and hast not on a weddinge garmente? And he was euen speachlesse.

³ And hys rayment did shyne, and was made very whyte, euen as snowe: so whyte as no fuller can make vpon the earth.

⁴ And it happened, as they were amased thereat. Behold two men stode by them in shinninge vestures.

¹⁰ And while they loked stedfastlye vp to heauen as he went, beholde two men stode by them in whyt apparell,

²² The ryghteousnes no doubte whiche is good before God commeth by the fayth of Christe, vnto all and vpon all that beleue. There is no difference:

¹⁴ but put ye on the Lorde Iesus Christ. And make not prouysyon for the fleshe, to fulfyll the lustes of it.

²⁶ to sanctifye it, and cleansed it in the fountayne of water thorowe the worde ²⁷ to make it vnto hym selfe a glorious congregation wythout spotte or wrinckle, or anye suche thinge: but that it shoulde be holy and wythout blame.

⁴ Thou hast a fewe names in Sardys, whyche haue not defyled their garmentes: and they shal walke wyth me in whyte, for they are worthy. ⁵ He that ouercommeth, shalbe clothed in whyte araye, and I wyll not put out hys name out of the boke of lyfe, and I wyll confesse his name before my father, and before his angels.

¹⁸ I counsel the to bye of me golde tryed in the fyre, that thou mayest be ryche, and whyte raymente, that thou mayest be clothed, that thy fylthye nakednes do not appere, & annointe thine eyes wyth eye salue, that thou maiest se.

¹³ And one of the elders aunswered, saying vnto me: what are these, which are arayed in longe whyte garmentes, and whence came they? ¹⁴ And I sayd vnto hym: Lorde thou wotest. And he said vnto me: these are they which came out of great tribulacion, and made their garmentes large and made them white, in the bloude of the lambe,

⁴ Who shal not feare. O Lorde, & glorify thy name? For thou only arte holy and al Gentyls shal come and worshippe before the for thy iudgementes are made manifeste.

¹ Moreouer the Lorde sayde vnto me: Take the a great leaf, and wryte in it, as men do wyth a penne, that he spede hym to robbe and haste him to spoyle.

² But the Lord aunswered me, and sayde: Wryte the vysyon planely vpon thy tables, that who so cometh by, maye rede it,

Tell them which are bydden: beholde I haue prepared my dyner, myne oxen and my fatlynges are kylled, and all thinges are redy, come vnto the mariage.

¹⁵ When one of them that sate at meate also hearde that, he sayed vnto hym: happye is he that eateth breade in the kyngdom of God. ¹⁶ Then sayde he to hym. A certayne man ordeyned a greate supper, and bade manye,

¹⁵ Thys is a true saiynge and by all meanes worthy to be receyued, that Christ Iesus came into the worlde to saue synners, of whom I am chiefe.

⁹ Thys is a sure saiyng and of all partyes worthy to be receyued.

¹¹ It is a true saiyng, yf we be deade wt hym we also shall lyue with hym.

⁸ Thys is a true saiynge. Of these thynges I would thou shouldest certyfye, that they whiche beleue God, might be dylygent to go forwarde in good workes. These thynges are good and profytable vnto men.

¹⁹ Write therfore the thynges, whiche thou hast sene, & the thynges whiche are, & the thynges which shalbe fulfylled here after:

¹ Vnto the messenger of the congregacion of Ephesus writte, these thinges, sayeth he that holdeth the .vij. starres in his right hand, and walketh in the middes of the seuen golden candelstickes:

⁸ And vnto the angell of the congregacion of Smyrna wryte: These thynges sayeth he that is fyrst, and the last, which was dead & is alyue.

¹² And to the messenger of the congregacion in Pergamos wryte: Thys sayth he, whych hath the sharpe sweard, wyth two edges.

¹⁸ And vnto the messenger of the congregacion of Thiatyra wryte. This sayth the sonne of God, which hath hys eyes lyke vnto flame of fyre, whose feete are lyke brasse:

¹ And write vnto the messenger of the congregation of Sardis, this sayth he that the spyryte of God & the .vij. starres. I know thy workes, thou hast a name, thou lyuest and thou arte deade.

⁷ And wryte vnto the tydinges bringer of the congregacyon of Philadelphia, this sayeth he that is holy and true, which hath the keye of Dauid, which openeth and no man shutteth, and shutteth & no man openeth.

¹⁴ And vnto the messenger of the congregacion, which is in Laodicia wryte: Thys sayth (Amen) the faythful and true wytnes, the beginninge of the creatures of God.

²⁰ Behold I stande at the dore and knocke. Yf anye man heare my voice and open the dore. I wil come in vnto him, and will suppe with him, and he wyth me.

⁴ And when the .vij. thonders had spoken their voyces, I was aboute to wryte. And I harde a voice from heauen saying vnto me, seale vp those thynges, which the .vij. thonders spake, and wryte them not.

¹³ And I heard a voice from heauen, sayinge vnto me: wryte. Blessed are the dead, whyche here after dye in the Lorde euen so sayth the spyryte, that they may reste from their laboures, but their workes shal folowe them.

⁷ Let vs be glad & reioyse & geue honour to him, for the mariage of the lambe is come, and hys wyfe made her selfe readye. ⁸ And to her was graunted that she shoulde be arayed wyth pure and goodlye Raynes. For the Raynes is the ryghtuousnesse of Saynctes.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feete, to worshippe him. And he sayed vnto me, se thou do it not. For I am thy felowe seruaunt, & one of thy brethren, & of them that haue the testimony of Iesus. Worshippe God. For the testimony of Iesus is the spirit of prophesye. ¹¹ And I sawe heauen open, & beholde a whyt horsse: and he that sate vpon hym was faythful and true, & in rightuousnes dyd he iudge & make battayl.

⁵ And he that sate vpon the seate, said: Behold I make al thinges new. And he sayd vnto me: wryte for these wordes are faythfull and true.

⁶ And he said vnto me, these sayinges are faythfull, & true. And the Lord God of sainctes and prophetes sente hys angel to shew vnto hys seruauntes, the thynges whiche muste shortly be fulfylled.

¹⁴ for thou shalt worshyp no straunge God. For the Lorde is called gelousee bycause he is a gelouse God:

³⁶ but to the Lorde whych brought you oute of the lande of Egypte wyth greate powre & a stretched out arme: hym feare & to him bowe & to him do sacrifice.

¹¹ So shall the kynge haue pleasure in thy beuty, for he is thy Lorde, & thou shalte worshyp hym.

²⁰ O prayse the Lorde ye aungels of his, ye that be myghty in strength fulfyllynge hys commaundement that men may here the voice of hys wordes. ²¹ O prayse the Lorde all ye his Hostes, yea seruauntes of his, that do hys pleasure.

¹⁰ There drewe forthe a fyrye streame, and wente out from him. A thousande tymes a thousande serued him .x.M. tymes ten thousande stode before him. The iudgement was set, and the bokes opened.

¹⁰ Then sayd Iesus vnto him. Auoide sathan. For it is wrytten, thou shalt worshippe the Lord thy God and him only shalt thou serue.

²² And beholde, there came one of the rulers of the Sinagoges, whose name was Iarius: and when he sawe him, he fell doune at his fete,

²⁵ For a certayn woman, whose doughter had a foule spirite hearde of him, and came & fell at hys fete.

¹⁹ And the aungell aunswered and sayed vnto hym. I am Gabryel that stande in the presence of God, and am sente to speake to the: & shewe the these glad tidinges.

²⁵ And he sayed vnto them: O fooles and slowe of hert to beleue all that the Prophetes haue spoken. ²⁶ Ought not Christ to haue suffred these thinges and to enter into his glorye? ²⁷ And he began at Moyses, and at all the Prophetes, & interpreted vnto them in all scryptures, which were written of hym.

⁴⁴ And he sayde vnto them: These are the wordes which I spake vnto you, whyle I was yet with you: that al muste be fulfilled which was written of me in lawe of Moyses and in the prophetes and in the Psalmes.

²² Ye worshype, ye wote not what: we knowe what we worshype. For saluation cometh of the Iewes. ²³ But the houre cometh and nowe is, when the true worshyppers shal worshyp the father in spyrite and in trueth. For verelye suche the father requireth to worshyp him. ²⁴ God is a spyryte, and they that worshyp hym, must worshyp hym in spiryte and trueth.

³⁹ Searche the sciptures, for in them ye thinke ye haue eternall lyfe: and they are they which testifye of me.

¹² When Peter saw that, he aunswered vnto the people: ye men of Israel why maruaile ye at this or why loke ye so stedfastly on vs as though by our owne power or holines, we had made this man go. ¹³ The God of Abraham Isaac and Iacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified hys sonne Iesu, whom ye delyuered and denyed in the presence of Pylate, when he had iudged hym to be lowsed. ¹⁴ But ye denyed the holye and iuste: and desyred a mortherer to be geuen you ¹⁵ and kylled the Lorde of lyfe, whom god hath raysed from death, of the whiche we are wytnesses. ¹⁶ And hys name through the fayth of his name, hath made this man sound: whom ye se and knowe. And the fayth whych is by hym, hath geuen to hym thys health in the presence of you all. ¹⁷ And nowe brethren I wote well that through ignoraunce ye dyd it, as did also your heades. ¹⁸ But those thinges whyche God before had shewed, by the mouth of all hys prophetes, howe that Christe shoulde suffer, he hath thus wyse fulfilled.

²⁵ And as it chaunsed Peter to come in, Cornelius met him, and fel doune at his fete, and worshipped him. ²⁶ But Peter toke him vp saiynge: stand vp: for euen I me selfe am a man.

⁴³ To hym geue all the Prophetes witnes, that thorowe hys name, all that beleue in hym, shall receyue remission of sinnes.

²⁷ The inhabiters of Ierusalem & theyr rulers, because they knowe him not, nor yet the voices of the prophetes which are reade euerye Saboth daye, they haue fulfylled them in condempnyng hym.

¹¹ And when the people sawe, what Paule had done, they lyfte vp theyr voyces, saiynge in the speache of Lycaonia: Goddes are come doune to vs in the lykenes of men. ¹² And they called Barnabas Iupiter and Paul Mercurius, because he was the preacher. ¹³ Then Iupiters prieste whiche dwelte before theyr citie, brought oxen and garlandes to the churche porche, and woulde haue done sacrifice with the people. ¹⁴ But when the Apostles Barnabas & Paul hearde that, they rent theyr clothes, and ran in amonge the people, criynge, ¹⁵ and saiynge: Syrs why do ye thys? We are mortall men lyke vnto you, and preache vnto you, that ye shoulde turne from these vanities vnto the liuynge God, which made heauen and earthe and the sea, and all that in them is:

²¹ Nowe verelye is the ryghteousnes that commeth of God, declared withoute the fulfyllynge of lawe, hauynge wytnes yet of the lawe and of the Prophetes. ²² The ryghteousnes no doubte whiche is good before God commeth by the fayth of Christe, vnto all and vpon all that beleue. There is no difference:

⁷ Nowe therfore, as ye are ryche in al partties in fayth, in worde, in knoweledge, in all feruentnes, and in loue, which ye haue to vs: euen so se that ye be plenteous in thys beneuolence.

¹⁵ Take hede therfore that ye walke circumspectlye: not as foles, but as wyse

³³ Neuerthelesse do ye so that euerye one of you loue his wyfe truely euen as hym selfe: And let the wyfe se that she feare her husbande.

¹⁵ Se that none recompence euyll for euyll vnto any man: but euer folowe that which is good, both among your selues, and to all men.

¹⁴ Are they not al ministringe spirites, sent to minister for their sakes, whiche shal be heyres of saluation?

²⁵ Se that ye despyse not hym, that speaketh. For yf they escaped not whiche refused hym, that spake on earth: muche more shall we not escape, yf we turne awaye from hym that speaketh from heauen:

¹⁰ Of whiche saluacyon haue the Prophetes enquyred and searched, whiche prophesyed of the grace that shoulde come vnto you, ¹¹ searchynge when or at what tyme of the spyryte of Christe whiche was in them, shoulde signifye, whiche spyryte testyfyed before, the passyons that shoulde come vnto Christe, and the glorye that shoulde folowe after: ¹² vnto which Prophetes it was declared, that not vnto them selues, but vnto vs, they shoulde mynyster the thynges whiche are nowe shewed vnto you of them whiche by the holye ghoste sent doune from heauen, haue preached vnto you the thynges whiche the aungels desyre to beholde.

¹⁹ We haue also a ryght sure worde of prophesye, whervnto yf ye take hede, as vnto a light, that shineth in a darcke place, ye do wel vntyll the daye dawne, and the daye starre aryse in youre hertes. ²⁰ So that ye fyrste knowe this, that no prophesye in the scripture hath any priuate interpretacion. ²¹ For the scrypture came neuer by the wyl of man, but holye men of God spake as they were moued by the holy ghoste.

¹⁰ He that beleueth on the sonne of God, hath the wytnes in him selfe. He that beleued not God, hath made hym a lyar, because he beleued not the recorde, that God gaue of hys sonne.

⁹ I Iohn your brother and companyon in trybulacyon, and in the kyngdome and pacyence whiche is in Iesu Christe, was in the yle of Pathmos for the worde of God, and for the wytnessynge of Iesu Christ

¹⁰ the .xxiiij. elders fel doune before him that sate on the throne, and worshypped him that lyueth for euer, and cast their crounes before the throne, saiynge:

¹¹ And they ouercame hym by the bloude of the lambe, and by the worde of theyr testimony, and they loued not theyr liues vnto the death.

¹⁷ And the dragon was wroth wyth the woman, and went and made warre wyth the remnaunt of her seede, whiche kepe the commaundementes of God, and haue the testimonye of Iesus Christe. And I stode on the sea sande.

⁷ sayinge with a loude voice: Feare God, & geue honoure to him, for the houre of his iudgemente is come, and worshyp hym, that made heauen and earth & the sea, & fountaynes of water.

⁸ I am Iohn which saw these thynges and harde them. And when I had hearde and sene, I fell doune to worshyppe before the fete of the aungell whiche shewed me these thynges. ⁹ And he sayed vnto me: se thou do it not, for I am thy felowe seruaunte, & the felowe seruaunte of thy brethren the Prophetes, & of them which kepe the sayinges of thys boke. But worshyppe God.

³ Gyrde the with thy swerde vpon thy thyghe (O thou mightye) with worshippe and renowne. ⁴ Good lucke haue thou with thyne honor, ryde on with the trueth, mekenesse & righteousnes: and thy righthand shall teach the wonderfull thynges. ⁵ Thy arrowes are sharpe, the people shal be subdued vnto the, euen in the myddest amonge the kynges enemyes. ⁶ Thy seate (O God) endureth for euer: the scepter of thy kyngdome is a right scepter. ⁷ Thou hast loued righteousnesse, & hated iniquitie: wherfore God (which is thy God) hath anoynted the with the oyle of gladnes aboue thy felowes.

⁶ And the heauens shal declare his rightuousnes, for God is iudge him selfe. Selah

² That he maye gouerne thy people accordynge vnto ryght and defende thy poore. ³ That the mountaynes maye brynge peace, and the litle hylles righteousnesse vnto the people. ⁴ He shall kepe the symple folke by theyr ryght, defende the chyldren of the poore, and punish the wronge doer.

¹³ Before the lorde, for he commeth: for he commeth to iudge the earth: yea, with ryghteousnesse shall he iudge the worlde, and the people with his trueth.

⁹ Before the Lorde, for he is come to iudge the earth. Yea wyth ryghtuousnes shall he iudg the worlde, and the people wyth equyte.

⁴ The kinges power loueth iudgment, thou preparest equite, thou executest iudgment and ryghtuousnes in, Iacob.

³ and shall make him feruent in the feare of God. For he shall not geue sentence, after the thinge that shall be brought before his eyes, neyther reproue a matter at the fyrst hearing ⁴ but wyth ryghteousnesse shall he iudge the poore, and with holynes shal he refourme the symple of the worlde. He shall smyte the worlde wyth the staffe of hys mouthe, & with the breathe of his mouth shall he slay the wicked. ⁵ Ryghteousnesse shalbe the gyrdle of his loynes, truthe & faythfulnesse, the gyrdynge vp of hys raynes.

¹ Beholde, the kynge shal gouerne after the rule of ryghtuousnes, & the princes shal rule according to the balaunce of equyte.

²¹ Lett men drawe nye, let them come hyther, & aske councell one at another, and shewe forth: What is he, that tolde this before? or who spake of it, euer sence the begynnynge? Haue not I the Lorde done it: wythout whom there is none other God? the true God and Sauioure, and there is els none but I?

¹ What is he thys, that cometh from Edom, with stayned read clothes of Bolra: (whyche is so costly cloth) and cometh in so nimbly wyth all his strength: I am he that teachech ryghteousnes, and am of power to helpe. ² Wherfore then is thy clothinge reade, and thy rayment lyke his that treadeth in the wyne presse? ³ I haue troden the presse my self alone, and of al people, there was not one with me. Thus haue I troden doune myne enemyes in my wrath, and set my fete vpon them in my indignacyon. And their bloude sprange vpon my clothes, and so haue I stayned al my raiment. ⁴ For the day of vengeaunce that I haue taken in hande, and the yeare of my delyueraunce is come. ⁵ I loked aboute me, and there was noman to shewe me any helpe, I fell doune, & no man helde me vp. Then I held me by myne owne arme, and my feruentnesse susteyned me:

⁵ Beholde, the tyme commeth, sayeth the Lorde, that I will rayse vp the ryghtuous braunche of Dauid, which shall beare rule, and discusse matters wyth wysdome, & shall sett vp equyte & rightuousnes agayne in the earth. ⁶ In hys tyme shall Iuda be saued and Israell shall dwell without feare. And thys is the name that they shall call hym: euen the Lorde oure ryghtuous maker.

¹⁵ In those dayes and at the same tyme, I wil bringe forthe vnto Dauid, the braunche of righteousnes, and he shal do equite and ryghteousnesse in the lande.

¹ It chaunsed in the .xxx. yeare the fifth daye of the .iiij. Moneth, that I was amonge the presoners by the ryuer of Cobar: where the heauens opened, and I sawe a vysyon of God.

⁸ I sawe by nyght, and lo, there sate one vpon a read horse & stode styll amonge the Myrte trees, that were beneth vpon the grounde: and behynde hym were there reade, spekled, and whyt horses.

⁹ Reioyce thou greatly, O doughter Syon, be glad, O doughter Ierusalem. For lo, thy king commeth vnto the, euen the ryghteous & Sauioure: Lowly and simple is he, he rydeth vpon an asse, & vpon the foale of an asse. ¹⁰ I wil rote out the charrettes from Ephraim, & the horse from Ierusalem, the battel bowes shalbe destroyed. He shall geue the doctryne of peace vnto the heathen, & his dominion shal be from the one syde to the other, and from the flundes to the endes of the worlde.

⁶ Iesus sayd vnto hym: I am the waye, the truthe and the lyfe. And no man commeth to the father, but by me.

¹ Thys Melchysedech, kynge of Salem (whiche beynge prieste of the moost hye God met Abraham, as he returned agayne from the slaughter of the kynges, & blessed him: ² to whom also Abraham gaue tythes of all thynges) fyrste is by interpretacyon kynge of ryghtuousnes: after that he is kynge of Salem that is to saye, kynge of peace,

⁵ and from Iesus Christ, whiche is a faythfull wytnes, and fyrst begotten of the dead, and Lorde ouer the kynges of the earth. Vnto him, that loued vs and washed vs from synnes in his owne bloude,

¹ After thys I loked, and beholde a dore was open in heauen, and the fyrst voyce which I hearde, was as it were of a trompete, talkynge wyth me which sayd: come vp hether, and I wyll shewe the thynges, whyche must be fulfylled herafter.

² And I sawe, and beholde there was a whyte horsse, and he that sate on him had a bow, & a croune was geuen vnto him, and he went forth conquerynge and for to ouercome.

¹⁹ And the temple of God was opened in heauen, and there was sene in hys temple the arcke of hys testamente, and there folowed lyghtenynges, and voyces, and thonderynge and eartquake and muche hayle

³ and they songe the songe of Moises the seruaunt of God, & they songe of the lamb, sayinge: Great & maruelous are thy workes Lorde God almighty, iuste & true are thy wayes kynge of sainctes. ⁴ Who shal not feare. O Lorde, & glorify thy name? For thou only arte holy and al Gentyls shal come and worshippe before the for thy iudgementes are made manifeste. ⁵ And after that, I loked & behold the temple of the tabernacle of testimony was open in heauen, ⁶ & the .vij. angels came out of the temple, which had the .vij. plages, clothed in pure and bryght linnen, & hauing their breastes gyrded wt golden gyrdels. ⁷ And one of the .iiij. beastes gaue to the .vij. angels .vij. golden vialles, ful of the wrath of God, whiche liueth for euermore.

²⁹ And Iacob asked hym sayinge, tell me thy name. And he said, wherfore doest thou aske after my name? & he blessed hym there.

²¹ Beware of him & heare his voice and angre him not: for he will not spare youre mysdedes, yea, and my name is in hym.

¹⁸ And the angell of the Lorde sayde vnto him: why askest thou after my name? when it is maruelouse.

⁵ After thou haddest for a season made him lower then the aungels, thou crounedest him with honour and glory.

⁶ For vnto vs a chylde shalbe borne, and vnto vs a sonne shalbe geuen. Vpon his shoulder shall the kyngedome lye, and he shalbe called with hys owne name. The wonderous geuer of councel, the myghty God, the euerlastinge father, the prynce of peace,

³ Thou shalt be a croune in the hande of the Lorde, and a glorious garlande in the hande of thy God.

¹⁶ The Lorde their God shall delyuer them in the day, as the flock of his people: for the stones of his Sanctuary shalbe set vp in his land,

²⁷ All thinges are geuen vnto me of my father. And no man knoweth the sonne but the father: neyther knoweth anye man the father, saue the sonne, and he to whom the sonne wyl open hym.

⁵ Tel ye the doughter of Sion: beholde thyne kyng cometh vnto the meke, and sitting vpon an Asse and a colte, the fote of an Asse vsed to the yooke.

¹⁸ And Iesus came and spake vnto them saiynge: all power is geuen vnto me in heauen and in earth.

²² All thynges are geuen me of my father. And no man knoweth who the sonne is, but the father: neyther who the father is, saue the sonne, and he to whom the sonne wyll shewe hym.

⁹ Neuertheles we yet se not all thinges subdued, but him that was made lesse then the Angelles, we se that it was Iesus, whiche is crowned with glory and honoure for the suffering of death, that he by the grace of God, should taste of death for al men.

¹⁴ Hys heade and hys heares were whyte, as whyte woul and as snowe: & hys eyes were as a flamme of fyre:

¹⁷ Let him that hath eares, heare what the spyryte sayeth vnto the congregacyons. To hym that ouercommeth will I geue to eate Manna, that is hyd and wyll geue hym a whyte stone, and in the stone a new name wrytten, whiche no man knoweth sauynge he that receiueth it. ¹⁸ And vnto the messenger of the congregacion of Thiatyra wryte. This sayth the sonne of God, which hath hys eyes lyke vnto flame of fyre, whose feete are lyke brasse:

¹² Hym that ouercommeth, wyl I make a pyller in the temple of my God, and he shal go no more out. And I wyl wryte vpon him, the name of my God, and the name of the cytye of my God, newe Ierusalem, which commeth doune out of heauen from my God, & I wyl wryte vpon him my newe name.

³ And there appered another wonder in heauen, for behold a great Dragon, hauinge .vij. heades, and ten hornes & crounes vpon his heades,

¹ And I sawe a beaste ryse out of the sea, hauyng .vij. heades, and .x. hornes, and vpon his hornes ten crounes, and vpon his heade the name of blasphemye.

¹⁶ And hath on hys vesture & on hys thighe a name wrytten: king of kinges, & Lord of Lordes,

¹⁰ The ryghteous shal reioyse when he seith the vengeaunce, and shall washe hys fete in the bloud of the vngodly.

⁵ Moreouer all temerariours and sedicious power (yea where there is but a cote fylled with bloude) shalbe burnt, and fede the fyre.

³ So that their slayne shalbe cast out, and their bodyes styncke: that euen the verye hilles shalbe wet with the bloude of them. ⁴ All the starres of heauen shalbe consumed, & the heauen shall folde together lyke a roll, & all the starres therof shal fall, lyke as the leaues fall from the vynes & fygetrees. ⁵ For my swearde (saieth he) shalbe bathed in heauen, and shall immediatly come downe vpon Idumea, and vpon the people which I haue cursed for my vengeance. ⁶ And the Lordes swearde shalbe full of bloude, and be rustye wyth the fatnesse & bloude of lambes & gootes, wyth the fatnesse of the kydneys of wethers. For the Lorde shall kyl a greate offringe in Bosra, and in the lande of Idumea. ⁷ There shall the Vnycornes fall with the Bulles (that is with the gyauntes) and theyr lande shalbe washed wyth bloude, and their grounde corrupte wyth fatnesse. ⁸ Vnto the also (O Syon) shall come the daye of the vengeaunce of God, & the yeare when thyne owne iudgmentes shalbe recompensed.

¹ What is he thys, that cometh from Edom, with stayned read clothes of Bolra: (whyche is so costly cloth) and cometh in so nimbly wyth all his strength: I am he that teachech ryghteousnes, and am of power to helpe. ² Wherfore then is thy clothinge reade, and thy rayment lyke his that treadeth in the wyne presse? ³ I haue troden the presse my self alone, and of al people, there was not one with me. Thus haue I troden doune myne enemyes in my wrath, and set my fete vpon them in my indignacyon. And their bloude sprange vpon my clothes, and so haue I stayned al my raiment. ⁴ For the day of vengeaunce that I haue taken in hande, and the yeare of my delyueraunce is come. ⁵ I loked aboute me, and there was noman to shewe me any helpe, I fell doune, & no man helde me vp. Then I held me by myne owne arme, and my feruentnesse susteyned me: ⁶ and thus haue I troden doune the people in my wrath, and bathed them in my displeasure: In so muche that I haue shed their bloude vpon the earth.

¹ In the begynnynge was the worde, and the word was with God, & the worde was God.

¹⁴ And the worde was made flesh & dwelt amonge vs, and we sawe the glorye of it, as the glory of the onlye begotten sonne of the father, which worde was ful of grace & verite.

¹ That whyche was from the begynninge, whyche we haue hearde, whyche we haue sene with oure eyes, which we haue loked vpon and our handes haue handeled, of the word of the lyfe.

⁷ (For there are thre which beare recorde in heauen, the father, the worde, and the holye Ghoste. And these thre are one.)

²⁰ and the wynfat was troden wythout the cyty, and bloud came out of the fat, euen vnto the horsse brydelles by the space of a thousand and .vi. hundred furlonges.

¹⁷ The charettes of God are many .M. tymes thousande, the Lorde is among them in the holy Sinai.

⁶ Let the prayses of God be in their mouth and sharpe swerdes in their handes. ⁷ To be auenged of the Heathen, and to rebuke the people. ⁸ To bynde their Kynges in cheynes, and their nobles with lynckes of yron. ⁹ That they may be auenged of them, as it is written, such honour haue all his saynctes. Prayse the euerlastynge.

⁵ And ye shal fle vnto the valley of my hylles, for the valley of the hylles shal reach vnto Asal. Yea, fle shal ye, like as ye fled for the earthquake in the dayes of Osiah king of Iuda. And the lord my God shall come, and al sayntes with him.

⁵³ Eyther thynkest thou that I can not nowe praye to my father, and he shal geue me more then .xij. legyons of Angelles?

³ His countenaunce was lyke lyghtnyng, & his raymente whyte as snowe.

⁷ and to you whiche are troubled, reste wyth vs, when the Lorde Iesus shall shewe hym selfe from heauen wyth hys myghtye Aungels,

¹⁴ Enoch the seuenth from Adam, prophesyed fore of suche, saying: Beholde, the Lorde shall come wt thousandes of saynctes,

⁴ Thou hast a fewe names in Sardys, whyche haue not defyled their garmentes: and they shal walke wyth me in whyte, for they are worthy.

⁴ And about the seate were .xxiiij. seates. And vpon the seates .xxiiij. elders syttynge clothed in whyte rayment, & had on their heades crounes of golde.

⁹ After this I behelde, and lo a greate multitude (which no man coulde numbre) of al nacions and people, and tonges, stode before the seate, and before the lambe, clothed wyth longe whyte garmentes, and palmes in their handes,

¹ And I loked, and lo a lamb stode on the mounte Syon, and wyth him an hundred & .xliiij. thousand hauyng hys fathers name wrytten in theyr forheades.

¹⁴ These shal fyght wt the lamb, & the lamb shal ouercome them. For he is Lorde of Lordes, & kinge of kinges, & they that are on his syde, are called the chosen and faithful.

⁸ And to her was graunted that she shoulde be arayed wyth pure and goodlye Raynes. For the Raynes is the ryghtuousnesse of Saynctes.

¹¹ And I sawe heauen open, & beholde a whyt horsse: and he that sate vpon hym was faythful and true, & in rightuousnes dyd he iudge & make battayl.

⁹ Thou shalt rule them wyth a rodde of yron, and breake them in peces lyke an earthen vessell.

⁴ but wyth ryghteousnesse shall he iudge the poore, and with holynes shal he refourme the symple of the worlde. He shall smyte the worlde wyth the staffe of hys mouthe, & with the breathe of his mouth shall he slay the wicked.

³³ For he hath prepared the fyre of payne from the begynnynge, yea euen for Kynges also. This hath he made depe & wyde, the noryshing thereof is fyre & woode innumerable, whiche the breathe of the Lorde kyndleth, as it were a matche of brymstone.

⁸ And then shall that wicked be vttered, whome the Lorde shall consume with the spirite of hys mouth, and shall destroye wt the aperaunce of hys commynge.

¹⁶ And he had in hys ryghthande .vij. starres. And out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sweard. And hys face shone euen as the sonne in hys strength.

¹⁶ But be conuerted, or els I wyll come vnto the shortlye, and wil fyght agaynst them wyth the swearde of my mouth.

²⁷ and he shal rule them with a rodde of yron: and as the vessels of a potter, shall he breake them to sheuers. Euen as I receyued of my father,

⁵ And she brought furth a man chyld, which should rule al nacyons wyth a rod of Iron. And her sonne was taken vp vnto God, and to hys seate.

¹⁷ And another angel came out of the temple which is in heauen hauing also a sharpe sikle. ¹⁸ And another angel came out from the aulter, whiche had power of fyre, and cryed wyth a loude crye to him that had the sharpe sykle, & sayed: thruste in thy sharpe sykle, and gather the clusters of the earth for her grapes are rip. ¹⁹ And the angel thruste in his sykle on the earth, and cut doune the grapes of the vineyarde of the earth, and caste them into the great wynfat of the wrath of God, ²⁰ and the wynfat was troden wythout the cyty, and bloud came out of the fat, euen vnto the horsse brydelles by the space of a thousand and .vi. hundred furlonges.

²¹ and the remnaunte were slayne with the swerd of him that sate vpon the horse, which swerd proceded out of his mouth & all the foules were fulfilled with their flesh.

¹¹ All kynges shall worshyppe hym, and all Heathen shall do hym seruyce.

¹⁵ Thorow me, kinges reygn: thorow me, prynces make iust lawes. ¹⁶ Thorow me, lordes beare rule, and all iudges of the earth execute iudgement.

⁴⁷ The kynge aunswered Daniel, and sayde: yea of a trueth your God is a GOD aboue all Goddes, a Lorde aboue all kynges and an opener of secretes: seynge thou canste dyscouer thys mysterye.

⁹ Wherfore God hath exalted hym, and geuen hym a name aboue al names, ¹⁰ that in the name of Iesus should euerye knee bowe, both of thinges in heauen and thinges in earth, and thinges vnder the earth, ¹¹ and that al tounges should confesse that Iesus Christ is the Lorde vnto the prayse of God the father.

¹⁵ whiche appearynge (when the tyme is come) he shal shew that is blessed and myghtye onelye, kynge of kynges, & Lord of Lordes,

¹ Come ye Heithen & heare, take hede ye people. Herken thou earth & all that is therin: thou rounde compasse & all that groweth there vpon ² for the Lord is angrye with all people, & hys displeasure is kindled agaynst all the multytude of them, to curse them, & to sleye them.

⁹ Al the beastes of the felde, and al the beastes of the wood shal come to deuoure hym.

⁹ Myne heretage is vnto me, as a speckled byrde, a byrde of dyuerse coloures is vpon it. Go hence, and gathere all the beastes of the felde together, that they maye eate it vp.

¹⁷ And thou sonne of man: thus sayth the Lorde God: Speake vnto all the foules and euery byrde, yee and to all the wylde beastes of the felde: heape you together and come, gather you rounde aboute vpon my slaughter, that I haue slayne for you: euen a greate slaughter vpon the mountaynes of Israell: eate flesh, and drincke bloude. ¹⁸ Ye shall eate the flesh of the worthies, and drynke the bloude of the prynces of the lande: of the wethers, of the lambes of the goates, and of the oxen that be al slayne at Basan. ¹⁹ Eate the fat youre belyfull, & dryncke bloud, tyll ye be dronken of the slaughter, whyche I haue slayne vnto you. ²⁰ Fyll you at my table, with horses and stronge horsmen: with captaynes and all men of warre, sayeth the Lorde God.

¹³ And I behelde and hearde an angell fliynge thorowe the middes of heauen, sayinge wyth a loude voyce: Wo, wo, to the inhabiters of the earth, because of the voyces to come of the trompe of the .iij. angels, whyche were yet to blowe.

⁶ And I sawe an angel flye in the middes of heauen hauinge an euerlastinge Gospell to preache vnto them that sytte and dwell on the earth, & to al nacions, kinredes, & tonges, and people,

²⁶ And thy carkesse shalbe meate vnto all maner foules of the apre and vnto the beastes of the erth, and no man shall fraye them awaye.

⁴⁴ And he sayde to Dauid: come to me & I wyll geue thy fleshe vnto the fowles of the ayre, and to the beastes of the felde?

⁴⁶ This day shal the Lorde delyuer the into my hande, and I shall smyte the and take thyne head from the, and I will geue the karcases of the hoste of the Philistines this day vnto the foules of the ayre and to the beastes of the earth, and al the worlde shal knowe, that there is a God in Israel.

⁵ The Lorde vpon thy ryghte hande, shall smyte euen kinges in the daye of hys wrath. ⁶ He shall be iudge amonge the Heathen, he shall fyl them wyth deade bodyes, and smite in sunder the heades ouer diuerse countres.

³³ Yea the dead bodyes of this people shall be eaten vp of the foules of the ayre & wylde beastes of the earth, and no man shall fraye them awaye.

⁴ They shal dye an horrible deeth, no man shall mourne for them, ner burye them, but they shall lye as donge vpon the earth. They shall perishe thorow the swearde and honger, and their bodyes shall be meate for the foules of the ayre, & beastes of the earth.

⁷ For in thys place wyll I slaye the Senatours of Iuda and Ierusalem, and kyll them downe with the swearde in the syght of their enemyes and of them that seke their lyues. And theyr deed carcases wyll I geue to be meate for the foules of the ayre, and beastes of the felde.

²⁰ Those men will I geue into the power of their enemies, & into the handes of them that folowe vpon their lyues. And their dead bodies shalbe meate for the foules of the ayre, and beastes of the felde.

⁵ I wyll caste the oute vpon the drye lande: wyth the fysh of thy waters, so that thou shalte lye vpon the felde. Thou shalte not be gathered nor taken vp: but shalte be meate for the beastes of the feld, and for the foules of the ayre,

²⁸ For whersoeuer a dead carkes is, euen thither wyl egles resort.

³⁷ And they aunswered, & sayde to hym: where Lorde? And he sayed vnto them: wheresoeuer the body shalbe, thyther wyl the egles resorte.

¹⁵ And the kynges of the earth, & the greate men and the ryche men, and the chiefe captaines, and the myghty men, and euerye bonde man, and euery free man, hyd them selues in dennes, and in rockes:

¹⁶ And he made al both smale and greate, ryche and poore, free and bonde, to receyue a marke in theyr ryght handes, or in theyr forheades.

⁸ After many dayes thou shalt be visited, and in the latter yeares thou shalt come into the lande, that hath bene destroyed wyth the swearde, & now is replenyshed agayne wyth dyuerse people vpon the mountaynes of Israell, which haue longe lyen waste. Yee they be brought out of the nacyons, and dwell all safe. ⁹ Thou shalt come vp like a stormy wether, to couer the lande, and as it were a darcke cloude: thou wyth all thyne hostes, & a greate multytude of people wyth the. ¹⁰ Moreouer, thus sayeth the Lorde God: At the same tyme shall manye thynges come in to thy mynde, so that thou shalt ymagyn myschefe, ¹¹ & saye: I will vp to yonder playne lande, seing they syt at ease, and dwell so safely (for they dwell all wythout any walles, they haue nether barres nor dores) ¹² to spoyle them, to robbe them, to laye hande vpon their so well inhabyted wyldernesses: agaynst that people, that is gathered together from amonge the Heathen, whyche haue gotten catell and good, and dwell in the myddest of the lande. ¹³ Then shall Saba, and Dedan, and the marchauntes of Tharsis wyth all their worthies, saye vnto the: Art thou come to robbe? Hast thou gathered thy people together, because thou wylt spoyle? to take syluer and golde: to carye awaye catell and good: and to haue a greate praye? ¹⁴ Therfore, O thou sonne of man, thou shalt prophecye, and saye vnto Gog: Thus sayeth the Lord God: In that daye thou shalt knowe, that my people of Israell dwelleth safe: ¹⁵ & shalth come from thy place out of the north partes: thou & moch people with the, whych ryde vpon horses, wherof there is a greate multytude & an innumerable sorte. ¹⁶ Yee thou shalt come vpon my people of Israell, as a cloude to couer the lande. This shall come to passe in the latter dayes: I will bringe the vp into my lande, that the Heathen maye knowe me, when I get me honoure vpon the. O Gog before their eyes. ¹⁷ Thus sayeth the Lord God: Thou art he, of whom I haue spoken afore tyme, by my seruauntes the prophetes of Israell, whyche prophecyed in those dayes and yeares, that I shulde brynge the vpon them. ¹⁸ At the same tyme, when Gog commeth vp in to the lande of Israell (sayeth the Lorde God) shall my indygnacyon go forth in my wrath.

²¹ I behelde, and the same horne made battaile againste the saintes, yea and gat the victorie of them, ²² vntill the tyme that the olde aged came, that the iudgemente was geuen to the chefest sayntes: and till the tyme that the saintes hath the kingedome in possession. ²³ He gaue me this answere: That fourthe beast shalbe the fourth kingedome vpon earth: it shalbe more then all other kingedomes, it shall deuoure, treade doune, and destroye all other landes. ²⁴ The ten hornes are ten kinges, that shall aryse out of the kingedom, after whom there shall stande vp another, whiche shalbe greater then the fyrste. ²⁵ He shall subdue thre Kynges, and shal speake wordes against the hyest of all: he shall destroy the saintes of the most hyest, and thincke, that he may chaunge tymes and lawes. They shalbe geuen vnder his power, vntill a time, two tymes, and half a tyme. ²⁶ But the iudgemente shalbe kepte, so that his power shalbe taken from him, for he shall be destroyed, and perishe at the laste.

²⁵ And thorowe his craftynes, falshed shall prospere in his hande, hys herte shalbe proude, and many one shall be put to deathe in his welthinesse. He shall stand vp against the Prince of Princes, but he shalbe destroyed wythoute hande.

⁴⁰ In the latter tyme shall the kinge of the south stryue with him: & the king of the north in like maner shall come agaynste him wyth charettes, horsemen and wyth a greate nauy of shippes. He shall come into the landes, destroye and go thorowe, ⁴¹ he shall entre also into the fayre pleasaunt lande. Manye cytyes and countreyes shall decaye, excepte Edom, Moab & the best of the children of Ammon, whyche shall escape from hys hande. ⁴² He shal stretch forth his handes vpon the countreyes & the lande of Egipte shall not escape him. ⁴³ For thorowe his goynge in, he shal haue dominion ouer the treasures of siluer and gold & ouer al the precyous Iewels of Egypt, Lybia and Ethiopia. ⁴⁴ Neuerthelesse the tidinges oute of the easte and north shal trouble hym, for the whiche cause he shall go forthe to destroye & curse a greate multitude. ⁴⁵ The tentes of his palace shall be pytch betwyxte the two seas, vpon the hill of the noble Sanctuarye, for he shall come to the ende of it, & then shal no man helpe him.

⁹ Crye out these thinges among the Gentiles, proclame warre, wake vp the gyauntes, let them drawe nye, let them come vp all the lustye warryours of them. ¹⁰ Make you sweardes of youre plowshares, and speares of youre sycles & sythes. Let the weake man saye: I am stronge. ¹¹ Mustre you, and come, all ye heathen round about: gather you together, there shall the Lorde laye all thy gyauntes to the grounde. ¹² Let the people aryse, & get them to the valleye of Iosaphat, for there wyll I sit, & iudge all Heathen rounde about. ¹³ Laye to youre sythes, for the haruest is rype: come, get you doune: the winepresse is ful, yea the wynepresses runne ouer, for theyr wickednesse is waxen greate. ¹⁴ In the valleye appoynted, there shalbe many, many people: for the daye of the Lorde is nye in the valleye appoynted.

⁷ And when they haue fynished theyr testymonye, the beast that came out of the bottomlesse pyt, shal make warre agaynst them, and shal ouercome them, and kyl them.

¹ And I sawe a beaste ryse out of the sea, hauyng .vij. heades, and .x. hornes, and vpon his hornes ten crounes, and vpon his heade the name of blasphemye. ² And the beaste whych I sawe, was lyke a cat of the mountayne, and hys fete were as the fete of a beare, and his mouth as the mouth of a Lyon. And the dragon gaue him hys power and hys seale, and great authorytye, ³ & I sawe one of his heades as it were wounded to death and his deadlye wounde was healed. And al the worlde wondred at the beaste, ⁴ & they worshipped the dragon, which gaue power vnto the beaste, and they worshipped the beast saiynge: who is lyke vnto the beast? who is able to warre with him? ⁵ And there was mouth geuen vnto hym, that spake greate thinges and blasphemies, and power was geuen vnto hym, to do .xlij. monethes. ⁶ And he opened hys mouth vnto blasphemy agaynste God, to blaspheme hys name, and his tabernacle and them that dwell in heauen. ⁷ And it was geuen vnto hym to make warre wyth the Saynctes, and to ouercome them. And power was geuen hym ouer al kynredes, tonges and nacions, ⁸ and al that dwel vpon the earth worshipte him, whose names are not written in the boke of lyfe of the lambe, which was killed from the beginning of the worlde. ⁹ Yf any man haue an eare, let hym heare. ¹⁰ He that leadeth into captiuitie shal go into captiuitie, he that kylleth wt a sweard, must be kylled wyth a sweard. Here is the pacience and the fayth of the sainctes.

⁹ And the thyrd angel folowed them saying wt a loude voice: Yf any man worship the beast & his ymage, and receiue his marke in his forhead, or in his hand,

¹⁴ For they are the spirites of deuils working miracles to go out vnto the kinges of the earth, & to the whole worlde to gather them to the batayle of the greate daye of God almighty.

¹⁶ And he gathered them together into a place, called in the Hebrue tonge Armagedon.

¹² And the .x. hornes, which thou seest, are .x. kinges, which haue receiued no kingdom, but shal receiue power as kynges at one hour with the beast. ¹³ These haue one minde, & shal geue their power & strength vnto the beast. ¹⁴ These shal fyght wt the lamb, & the lamb shal ouercome them. For he is Lorde of Lordes, & kinge of kinges, & they that are on his syde, are called the chosen and faithful.

¹¹ And I sawe heauen open, & beholde a whyt horsse: and he that sate vpon hym was faythful and true, & in rightuousnes dyd he iudge & make battayl. ¹² His eyes were as a flame of fyre, and on hys head were manye crounes, and he had a name wrytten, that no man knewe but he hym self. ¹³ And he was clothed with a vesture dipt in bloud, & his name is called the worde of God. ¹⁴ And the warryers whiche were in heauen, folowed hym vpon whyte horsses, clothed with whyte & pure raynes:

²⁴ Than the Lorde rayned vpon Sodome and Gomorra, brymstone and fyre from the Lord out of heauen,

²³ how all the land is burnt vp wyth bremstone & salt, & that it is nether sowne nor beareth, nor any grasse groweth therin, after the ouerthrowing of Sodome, Gomor, Adama and Zeboim: which the Lord ouerthrewe in his wrath and angre.

¹⁵ Other men shall dwell in his house (which now is none of his) and brymstone shalbe scatered vpon his habitacion.

⁶ Vpon the vngodly he shall rayne snares, fyre, brymstone, storme and tempest: thys rewarde shall they haue to drynke.

⁹ Thy floudes shalbe turned to pytch, and thyne earthe to brymstone, and ther wyth shall the lande be kyndled,

²² Wyth pestylence and bloude will I punysh hym: stormy rayne & hayle stones, fyre & brimstone, wyl I cause to rayne vpon him & all his heape yee & vpon al that greate people that is with hym.

⁴⁰ The fourthe kyngdome shalbe as stronge as yron. For lyke as yron broseth and breaketh all thynges: Yea euen as yron beateth euery thynge doune, so shall it beate doune and destroye. ⁴¹ Where as thou sawest the fete and toes, parte of earthe, and parte of yron: that is a deuyded kyngedome, whiche neuertheles shall haue some of the yron grounde myxte with it, for so muche as thou haste sene the yron mixte with the claye. ⁴² The toes of the fete that were parte of yron and parte of claye, sygnifyeth, that it shalbe a kyngdome partely stronge and partly weake. ⁴³ And where as thou sawest yron myxte wyth claye: they shall myngle them selues wyth the sede of symple people, & yet not contynue one wyth another, lyke as yron wyll not be souldered with a potsherde. ⁴⁴ In the dayes of these kinges shall the God of heauen set vp an euerlastynge kyngdome whiche shall not peryshe, and hys kyngdome shall not be geuen ouer to another people: yea the same shal breake and destroy al these kingdomes, but it shall endure foreuer. ⁴⁵ And where as thou saweste, that withoute any handes there was cut oute of the mounte a stone, whiche brake the yron, the copper, the earthe, the syluer and golde in peces: by that hath the greate God shewed the kynge, what wyll come after thys. This is a true dreame, and the interpretacyon of it is sure.

⁷ After this I sawe in a vision by night, and beholde, the fourthe beast was grymme and horrible, and maruelous strong. It had great yron teeth, it deuoured and destroyed, and stamped the resydue vnder hys fete. It was farre vnlyke the other beastes, that were before it: for it had ten hornes, whereof I toke good hede. ⁸ And beholde, there came vp amonge them another lyke horne, before whom there were thre of the fyrste hornes pluckte awaye. Beholde, thys horne had eyes lyke a man, and a mouth speakynge presumptuous thynges. ⁹ I loked tyl the seates were prepared, and tyll the olde aged sat hym doune. His clothynge was as whyte as snowe, and the hearres of hys heade, lyke the pure woll. His trone was lyke the fyrye flamme, and his wheles as the burnynge fyre. ¹⁰ There drewe forthe a fyrye streame, and wente out from him. A thousande tymes a thousande serued him .x.M. tymes ten thousande stode before him. The iudgement was set, and the bokes opened. ¹¹ Then toke I hede therunto, because of the voyce of the proude wordes, whyche the horne spake. I behelde, tyll the beaste was slayne, and his bodye destroyed, and geuen ouer to be brent in the fire. ¹² As for the power of the other beastes also it was taken awaye, but their lyues were prolonged for a tyme and season. ¹³ I sawe in a vision by nyght, and beholde, there came one in the cloudes of heauen lyke the sonne of a man, whyche went vnto the olde aged, before whome they broughte hym. ¹⁴ Then gaue he hym power and dignitie regal, that al people trybes and tunges shoulde serue him. Hys power is an euerlastynge power, whych shal neuer be put doune, and his kingdome endureth vncorrupte.

¹⁹ After this I requyred diligently to knowe the trueth, concerning the fourth beast, whiche was so farre vnlyke the other beastes, and so horrible: whose teeth were of yron, and his nayles of brasse: which deuoured and destroyed, and stamped the residue vnder his fete. ²⁰ I desired also to knowe the trueth, as touching the ten hornes that he had vpon hys heade, and thys other, whiche came vp afterwarde, before whose face there fell doune thre: whyche horne had eyes, and a mouthe that spake presumptuous thynges, and loked with a grymmer vysage, then his felowes. ²¹ I behelde, and the same horne made battaile againste the saintes, yea and gat the victorie of them,

²⁴ He shalbe myghty and stronge, but not in his owne strength. He shall destroye aboue measure, and all that he goeth aboute shall prospere: he shall slaye the stronge and holye people.

²⁶ And this vysyon that is shewed vnto the, is as sure as the euenynge & the morninge. Therfore wryte thou vp this sighte, for it wilbe longe, or it come to passe.

⁴⁵ The tentes of his palace shall be pytch betwyxte the two seas, vpon the hill of the noble Sanctuarye, for he shall come to the ende of it, & then shal no man helpe him.

⁸ And then shall that wicked be vttered, whome the Lorde shall consume with the spirite of hys mouth, and shall destroye wt the aperaunce of hys commynge. ⁹ euen hym whose commynge is by the workynge of Sathan, with all liynge power, signes and wonders: ¹⁰ and in all deceyuablenes of vnryghtuousnes, amonge them that peryshe: because they receyued not the loue of the truethe, that they myght haue bene sayed. ¹¹ And therfore God shall sende them stronge delusyon, that they shoulde beleue lyes:

¹¹ And I behelde another beast commyng vp out of the earth, and he had two hornes lyke a lambe, and he spake as dyd the dragon. ¹² And he, dyd al that the fyrste beast could do in his presence, and he caused the earth, and them which dwel therin, to worship the fyrst beast, whose deadly wounde was healed. ¹³ And he dyd greate wonders, so that he made fyre come doune from heauen in the syght of men. ¹⁴ And deceiued them that dwelt on the earth by the meanes of those sygnes, which he had power to do in the syght of the beaste, saying to them that dwelt on the earth, that they should make an ymage vnto the beaste, whyche had the wounde of a swearde, and dyd lyue. ¹⁵ And he had power to geue a spyryte vnto the ymage of the beaste, and that the ymage of the beast should speake, and shoulde cause that as manye as would not worshyppe the ymage of the beaste, shoulde be kylled. ¹⁶ And he made al both smale and greate, ryche and poore, free and bonde, to receyue a marke in theyr ryght handes, or in theyr forheades. ¹⁷ And that no man myghte by or sell, saue he that had the marke, or the name of the beaste, other the numbre of his name. ¹⁸ Here is wysdom. Let him that hath wyt counte the numbre of the beaste. For it is the numbre of a man, and hys numbre is syxe hundred thre score and syxe.

¹⁰ the same shall drynke of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured in the cup of this wrath. And he shalbe punished in fyre & brimstone before the holy angels, and before the lambe.

¹³ And I sawe thre vncleane sprytes, lyke frogges come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast, & out of the mouth of the false prophete. ¹⁴ For they are the spirites of deuils working miracles to go out vnto the kinges of the earth, & to the whole worlde to gather them to the batayle of the greate daye of God almighty.

³ And he caryed me awaye into the wildernes in the spirite. And I saw a woman sit vpon a rose colored beaste ful of names of blasphemye, which had .x. hornes. ⁴ And the woman was arayed in purple & rose coloure, and decked wyth golde, precious stones and pearles, and had a cuppe of golde in her hand full of al abominacions and fylthines of her fornicacion. ⁵ And in her forhead was a name wrytten, a mystery, great Babylon the mother of whoredome and abominacions of the earth. ⁶ And I saw the wyfe drounken with the bloude of Saynctes, and with the bloud of the wytnesses of Iesu. And when I saw her, I wondred wyth great maruayle. ⁷ And the angel said vnto me, wherfore maruailest thou? I wil shewe the the mistery of the woman, & of the beast that beareth her, whyche had seuen heades & .x. hornes. ⁸ The beaste that thou seest, was, & is not, & shal ascende out of the bottomlesse pyt, & shal go into perdition, and they that dwel on the earth, shal wondre (whose names are not wrytten in the boke of lyfe from the beginninge of the worlde) when they beholde the beaste that was, and is not.

¹⁹ And I sawe the beast and the kynges of the earth, & theyr warriers gathered together to make battayl against him that sat on the horse & agaynst hys souldyers.

¹⁰ & the deuyll that deceyued them, was caste into a lake of fyre and brymstone, where the beast and the false Prophet were & shalbe tormented daye and nyghte for euermore.

¹⁴ And death & hell were cast into the lake of fyre. Thys is that seconde death. ¹⁵ And who so euer was not founde wrytten in the boke of lyfe, was caste into the lake of fyre.

⁸ But the fearful and vnbeleuing, & the abhominable, & murtherers, & whoremongers, & sorcerers, & ydolaters, & al lyars shall haue their parte in the lake which burneth wt fyre & brymstone, which is the seconde death.

¹⁵ For without shal be dogges & inchaunters, & whoremongers, and murtherers & Idolaters and whosoeuer loueth or maketh leasynges.

¹⁶ And the ten hornes, which thou sawest vpon the beast, are they that shal hate the whore, & shal make her desolate and naked, and shal eate her flesh and burne her wyth fyre.

¹¹ And I sawe heauen open, & beholde a whyt horsse: and he that sate vpon hym was faythful and true, & in rightuousnes dyd he iudge & make battayl. ¹² His eyes were as a flame of fyre, and on hys head were manye crounes, and he had a name wrytten, that no man knewe but he hym self. ¹³ And he was clothed with a vesture dipt in bloud, & his name is called the worde of God. ¹⁴ And the warryers whiche were in heauen, folowed hym vpon whyte horsses, clothed with whyte & pure raynes: ¹⁵ & out of hys mouthe went out a sharpe swearde, that with it he should smyte the heathen. And he shal rule them wyth a rod of Iron, & he trode the wine fat of the fiercenes & wrath of almightye God.

¹⁷ And I sawe an angel stand in the sunne & he cryed wyth a loud voyce, saiyng to al the foules that flye by the myndes of heauen come & gather youre selues together vnto the supper of the great God, ¹⁸ that ye may eate the flesh of kinges, & of hye captaynes, & the fleshe of myghty men, and the flesh of horsses, & of them that sit on them, & the flesh of all free men & bonde men, & of small & great. ¹⁹ And I sawe the beast and the kynges of the earth, & theyr warriers gathered together to make battayl against him that sat on the horse & agaynst hys souldyers.
