²⁰ The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness. According to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.

¹¹ Moreover, my father, look, yes, see the skirt of your robe in my hand; for in that I cut off the skirt of your robe, and did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor disobedience in my hand, and I have not sinned against you, though you hunt for my life to take it. ¹² May the LORD judge between me and you, and may the LORD avenge me of you; but my hand shall not be on you. ¹³ As the proverb of the ancients says, 'Out of the wicked comes forth wickedness;' but my hand shall not be on you.

¹⁷ He said to David, "You are more righteous than I; for you have done good to me, whereas I have done evil to you.

¹⁹ For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him go away unharmed? Therefore may the LORD reward you good for that which you have done this day. ²⁰ Now, look, I know that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand.

³⁰ He will even deliver him who is not innocent. Yes, he shall be delivered through the cleanness of your hands."

³ LORD, my God, if I have done this, if there is iniquity in my hands,

⁸ The LORD administers judgment to the peoples. Judge me, LORD, according to my righteousness, and to my integrity that is in me.

²⁴ Therefore the LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

⁴ He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.

⁶ I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will go about your altar, LORD;

¹¹ so that men shall say, "Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth."

¹⁸ Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.

⁴ But I said, "I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely the justice due to me is with the LORD, and my reward with my God."

¹¹ Look, the LORD has proclaimed to the remotest part of earth, "Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Look, your salvation comes. Look, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.'"

⁴ so that your charitable giving may be in secret, then your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

⁸ Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

²⁶ For such a high priest was indeed fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
