¹ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become a noisy gong, or a clanging cymbal.

⁴⁵ Then he shall answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.

¹⁵ But if your brother is hurt because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food him for whom Christ died.

¹ Now regarding things offered to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

⁸ For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

¹⁶ And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not part of the body; is it therefore not part of the body?

²⁹ Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? ³⁰ Do all have gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

² And if I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so that I can remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. ³ And if I give all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.

⁸ Love never fails: but where there are prophecies, they shall pass away; where there are tongues, they shall cease; where there is knowledge, it shall vanish away.

⁶ Now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, how will I benefit you, unless I shall speak to you some revelation, or knowledge, or prophesy, or instruction? ⁷ Even lifeless things which give sound, such as the pipe or harp, unless they make a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is played? ⁸ For if the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself for the battle?

⁴ Was caught up into paradise, and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

⁶ For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; but faith which works through love.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

⁵ Now the aim of this commandment is love from a pure heart, and a good conscience, and a sincere faith:

⁸ Above all things have fervent love for one another: for love covers a multitude of sins.

¹⁸ For they speak great swelling words of vanity, and allure through the lusts of the flesh, through sensuality, those who are just escaping from the ones who live in error.
