¹⁶ And Jesus said, Are you also still without understanding?

⁵¹ Jesus said to them, Have you understood all these things? They said to him, Yes.

¹⁰ And he called the multitude, and said to them, Hear, and understand:

⁹ Do you not yet understand; do you not remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up?

¹¹ How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread, but that you should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?

⁵² For they did not understand the miracle of the loaves: for their hearts were hardened.

¹⁸ And he said to them, Are you also without understanding? Do you not perceive, that whatever enters into the man from without, it cannot defile him;

¹⁷ And being aware of this, Jesus said to them, Why do you discuss having no bread? do you not yet see or understand? are your hearts hardened? ¹⁸ Having eyes, do you not see? and having ears, do you not hear? and do you not remember?

³² But they did not understood that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

⁴⁵ But they did not understand this statement, and it was hidden from them, so they did not understand it: and they were afraid to ask him about it.

³⁴ And they understood none of these things: this saying was hidden from them, and they did not comprehend the things which were spoken.

⁴⁵ Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the scriptures,

¹² For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need for someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.
