¹⁹ Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:

¹⁶ And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up immediately out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: ¹⁷ And lo, a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

⁵² Then he said to them, Therefore every scribe who is instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like a man who is an owner of a house, who brings forth out of his treasure things new and old.

¹⁵ And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. ¹⁶ He who believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he who does not believe shall be condemned.

⁴⁷ And that repentance for forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. ⁴⁸ You are witnesses of these things.

⁸ But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the remotest part of the earth.

³⁸ Then Peter said to them, Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For the promise is for you, and for your children, and for all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

⁴¹ Then those who received his word were baptized: and that same day there were added to their number about three thousand souls.

¹² But when they believed Philip as he preached about the good news of the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. ¹³ Even Simon himself believed: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and was amazed, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. ¹⁴ Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John: ¹⁵ Who, when they had come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit: ¹⁶ (For as yet he had fallen upon none of them: they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

And he answered, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.] ³⁸ And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

¹⁸ And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales: and he received his sight, and arose, and was baptized.

⁴⁷ Can anyone forbid water for these to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? ⁴⁸ And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to remain for a few days.

⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should have first been spoken to you: but seeing that you thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. ⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the ends of the earth.

²¹ And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had made disciples of many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

¹⁵ And when she was baptized, and her household, she begged us, saying, If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house, and stay there. And she persuaded us. ¹⁶ And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain slave girl possessed by a spirit of divination met us, and she brought her masters much gain by fortune-telling: ¹⁷ She followed Paul and us, and cried out, These men are servants of the most high God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation. ¹⁸ And this she did for many days. But Paul, being greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And it came out that same hour. ¹⁹ And when her masters saw that their hope for profit was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and dragged them into the marketplace before the rulers, ²⁰ And having brought them to the magistrates, they said, These men, being Jews, are troubling our city exceedingly, ²¹ And they teach customs which are not lawful for us Romans to accept, or to observe. ²² And the multitude also rose up against them: and the magistrates tore the clothes off of them, and commanded that they be beaten with rods. ²³ And when they had struck them with many blows, they cast them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them securely: ²⁴ And he, having received this charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. ²⁵ And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises to God: and the prisoners heard them. ²⁶ And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's chains were unfastened. ²⁷ And the keeper of the prison awakened out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew his sword, and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had fled. ²⁸ But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying, Do yourself no harm: for we are all here. ²⁹ Then he called for a light, and rushed in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, ³⁰ And brought them out, and said, Men, what must I do to be saved? ³¹ And they said, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, you and your household. ³² And they spoke the word of the Lord to him, and to all who were in his house. ³³ And he took them that same hour of the night, and washed their wounds; and was immediately baptized, he and all his household.

³ And he said to them, Into what then were you baptized? And they said, Into John's baptism. ⁴ Then Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people, that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus. ⁵ When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

²⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it.

³ Do you not know, that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? ⁴ Therefore, we were buried with him by baptism into death: so that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also might walk in newness of life.

¹⁸ But I say, Have they not heard? Yes truly, for: Their voice went into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.

¹³ Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul? ¹⁴ I thank God that I baptized none of you, except Crispus and Gaius; ¹⁵ Lest anyone should say that you had been baptized in my name. ¹⁶ (I also baptized the household of Stephanas: besides that, I do not know whether I baptized anyone else.)

⁴ Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. ⁵ And there are various kinds of service, but the same Lord. ⁶ And there are various kinds of working, but it is the same God who works all of them in all men.

²⁹ Otherwise, what shall they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead are not raised at all? why then are they baptized for the dead?

¹⁴ { (13:13) All the saints greet you.} { The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.}

²⁷ For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

¹⁸ For through him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

²³ If you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven; and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

²¹ This water symbolizes baptism, which now saves us (not by the removal of dirt from the body, but by an appeal of a good conscience to God,) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

⁷ And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.

⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be to you, and peace, from him who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne; ⁵ And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, and the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and freed us from our sins by his own blood, ⁶ And has made us a kingdom, and priests to his God and Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
