¹ Truth I say in Christ, I lie not, my conscience bearing testimony with me in the Holy Spirit,

⁹ for God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the good news of His Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you,

¹⁵ who do show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also witnessing with them, and between one another the thoughts accusing or else defending,

¹⁶ The Spirit himself does testify with our spirit, that we are children of God;

¹² For our glorying is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom, but in the grace of God, we did conduct ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you;

²³ And I for a witness on God do call upon my soul, that sparing you, I came not yet to Corinth;

¹⁰ The truth of Christ is in me, because this boasting shall not be stopped in regard to me in the regions of Achaia;

³¹ the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ -- who is blessed to the ages -- has known that I do not lie! --

¹⁹ Again, think you that to you we are making defence? before God in Christ do we speak; and the all things, beloved, are for your up-building,

²⁰ And the things that I write to you, lo, before God -- I lie not;

⁸ For God is my witness, how I long for you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ,

⁵ for at no time did we come with speech of flattery, (as you have known,) nor in a pretext for covetousness, (God is witness!)

⁵ And the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned,

⁷ in regard to which I was set a preacher and apostle -- truth I say in Christ, I do not lie -- a teacher of nations, in faith and truth.

²¹ I testify fully, before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the choice messengers, that these things you may keep, without forejudging, doing nothing by partiality.

¹⁹ and in this we know that of the truth we are, and before Him we shall assure our hearts, ²⁰ because if our heart may condemn -- because greater is God than our heart, and He does know all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart may not condemn us, we have boldness toward God,
