¹ In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, even to me, Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first.

¹ In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: Then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.

¹⁵ I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

⁴ And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his descendants, nor according to his dominion with which he ruled: For his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others besides those.
