¹² But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?

⁹ Give therefore your servant an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and bad: For who is able to judge this your so great a people?

²⁰ From where then comes wisdom? And where is the place of understanding?

²⁸ And to man he said, "Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

⁶ Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts: And in the hidden part You shall make me to know wisdom.

⁴ if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; ⁵ then you shall understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. ⁶ For the LORD gives wisdom: Out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

¹⁹ The LORD by wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding He has established the heavens.

²³ All this I have proved by wisdom: I said "I will be wise"; but it was far from me. ²⁴ That which is far off, and exceedingly deep, who can find it out? ²⁵ I applied my heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness:

¹⁹ For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent." ²⁰ Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

³ in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all people liberally, and without suffering reproach; and it shall be given to him.

¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, nor shadow of turning.
