¹³ Man knows not its price; neither is it found in the land of the living.

¹⁵ It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for its price. ¹⁶ It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire. ¹⁷ The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: And the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold. ¹⁸ No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: For the price of wisdom is above rubies. ¹⁹ The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.

²¹ Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air. ²² Destruction and death say, "We have heard its fame with our ears.

¹⁰ More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold: Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

⁵ God shall likewise destroy you forever, he shall take you away, and pluck you out of your dwelling place, and root you out of the land of the living. Selah.

⁷² The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

¹⁴ For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and its gain than fine gold. ¹⁵ She is more precious than rubies: And all the things you can desire are not to be compared to her.

¹¹ For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

¹⁸ Riches and honor are with me; yes, durable riches and righteousness. ¹⁹ My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

¹⁶ How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! And choosing to get understanding rather than silver!

²³ Buy the truth, and do not sell it; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

¹⁶ When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done on the earth: (for there is also one that does not see sleep with his eyes neither day nor night): ¹⁷ Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: Because though a man labor to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yes moreover; though a wise man think to know it, yet he shall not be able to find it.

¹¹ I said, "I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.

⁸ He was taken from prison and from judgment: And who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living: For the transgression of My people was He stricken.

⁴⁴ Again, the kingdom of heaven is likened to treasure hid in a field; which when a man has found it, he hides it, and out of joy over it he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. ⁴⁵ Again, the kingdom of heaven is likened to a merchant man, seeking better quality pearls: ⁴⁶ Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
