¹ When he sawe the people he went vp into a mountayne and when he was set his disciples came to hym

¹⁸ As Iesus walked by the see of Galile he sawe two brethren: Simon which was called Peter and Andrew his brother castynge a neet into the see for they were fisshers ¹⁹ and he sayde vnto them folowe me and I will make you fisshers of men. ²⁰ And they strayght waye lefte their nettes and folowed hym. ²¹ And he went forthe from thence and sawe other twoo brethren Iames the sonne of zebede and Ihon his brother in the shippe with zebede their father mendynge their nettes and called them. ²² And they with out taryinge lefte the shyp and their father and folowed hym.

²⁵ And ther folowed hym a greate nombre of people from Galile and from the ten cyties and from Ierusalem and from Iury and from ye regions that lye beyonde Iordan.

² and moch people resorted vnto him so gretly yt he wet and sat in a shippe and all the people stode on ye shoore.

²⁹ Then Iesus went awaye from thence and came nye vnto the see of Galile and went vp in to a mountayne and sat doune there.

¹³ And he wet vp into a mountayne and called vnto him whom he wolde and they came vnto him.

²⁰ and the people assembled togedder agayne so greatly that they had not leesar so moche as to eate breed.

¹ And he began agayne to teache by the seesyde. And there gadered to gedder vnto him moche people so greatly yt he entred into a ship and sate in the see and all the people was by the seeside on the shoore.

¹³ And assone as it was daye he called his disciples and of the he chose twelve which also he called apostles. ¹⁴ Simon who he named Peter: and Andrew his brother. Iames and Iho Philip and Bartlemew ¹⁵ Mathew and Thomas Iames the sonne of Alpheus and Simon called zelotes ¹⁶ and Iudas Iames sonne and Iudas Iscarioth which same was the traytour.

² And a greate multitude folowed him because they had sene his myracles which he dyd on them that were diseased. ³ And Iesus went vp into a mountayne and there he sate with his disciples.
