⁴ Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it:

²⁹ And the Levite, (because he has no part nor inheritance with you,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

¹ And it shall come to pass, if you shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that the LORD your God will set you on high above all nations of the earth: ² And all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall hearken unto the voice of the LORD your God. ³ Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. ⁴ Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your cattle, and the flocks of your sheep. ⁵ Blessed shall be your basket and your store. ⁶ Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. ⁷ The LORD shall cause your enemies that rise up against you to be smitten before your face: they shall come out against you one way, and flee before you seven ways. ⁸ The LORD shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouses, and in all that you set your hand unto; and he shall bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

¹¹ And the LORD shall make you abundant in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your cattle, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which the LORD swore unto your fathers to give you.

²⁴ There is that scatters, and yet increases; and there is that withholds more than is meet, but it tends to poverty. ²⁵ The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that waters shall be watered also himself.

²¹ He that despises his neighbour sins: but he that has mercy on the poor, happy is he.

²⁷ He that gives unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hides his eyes shall have many a curse.

¹⁰ And if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in obscurity, and your darkness be as the noon day: ¹¹ And the LORD shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
