¹ Seeing then Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind:

¹² The night is far spent; the day is at hand, let us therefore put off the works of darkness, and put on the armour of light. ¹³ Let us walk decently, as in the day; not in banqueting and drunken entertainments, not in uncleannesses and wantonness, not in strife and envy. ¹⁴ But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the desires thereof.

³ For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, our life shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. ⁵ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

¹⁰ For he that hath entered into his rest, hath himself also ceased from his works, as God did from his.

² God forbid. How shall we who are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

⁷ For he that is dead is freed from sin.

¹¹ So reckon ye also yourselves to be dead to sin, and alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²⁰ I am crucified with Christ, and I live no longer, but Christ liveth in me, and the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

²⁴ And they that are Christ's, have crucified the flesh with its affections and desires.

¹³ Wherefore take to you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

⁵ Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,

³ For consider him that endured such contradiction from sinners against himself, lest ye be weary and faint in your minds.

¹⁸ For Christ also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh,
