¹ For as touching the ministring to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you. ² For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many. ³ Yet have we sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready: ⁴ Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, and we, that we say not, you, should be ashamed in this same confidence. ⁵ Therefore I have thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, which had been promised before, that the same might be ready, as bounty, and not as covetousness. ⁶ But thus, He who soweth sparingly, shall reap also sparingly: and he who soweth bountifully, shall reap bountifully. ⁷ Every man according as he purposeth in his heart; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. ⁸ And God [is] able to make all grace abound towards you; that ye always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: ⁹ As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor; his righteousness remaineth for ever. ¹⁰ Now he that ministreth seed to the sower, will both minister bread for your food, and will multiply your seed sown, and will increase the fruits of your righteousness. ¹¹ Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. ¹² For the administration of this service, not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; ¹³ Whiles by the experiment of this ministration, they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men. ¹⁴ And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. ¹⁵ Thanks [be] unto God for his unspeakable gift.

³¹ But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

²⁸ As concerning the gospel, [they are] enemies for your sake: but as touching the election, beloved for the fathers sakes.

⁴ Praying us with much intreaty, [that we would accept the gift], and the fellowship of the ministring to the saints. ⁵ And this, not as we hoped; but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. ⁶ Insomuch that we have desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. ⁷ Therefore as ye abound in every thing, in faith, in utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us; that ye abound in this grace also. ⁸ I speak not by commandment, but on account of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. ⁹ For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. ¹⁰ And herein I give advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago. ¹¹ Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as [there was] a readiness to will, so [there may be] a performance also out of that which you have. ¹² For if there be first a willing mind, [it is] accepted according to that a man hath, not according to that he hath not. ¹³ For not that other men be eased, and you burdened: ¹⁴ But by an equality, [that] now at this time your abundance [may] be for their want, that their abundance also may be for your want, that there may be equality, ¹⁵ As it is written, He that [had] much, had nothing over; and he that [had] little, had no lack.

¹² For the administration of this service, not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; ¹³ Whiles by the experiment of this ministration, they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men. ¹⁴ And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.

¹⁰ Only that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.

¹⁰ As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

⁵ Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; ⁶ Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless,

⁹ But as touching brotherly love, we have no need to write unto you: for ye your selves are taught of God to love one another. ¹⁰ And indeed ye do it towards all the brethren, which ar in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, Brethren, that ye increase more and more;

¹ But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

²⁷ But the anointing which ye have received of him, abideth in you: and ye need not that any man teach you: But, as the same anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is truth, and is no lie: as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

¹² But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews combined unanimously against Paul, and talking together among themselves concerning Paul, and laying hands upon him, they brought him to the judgment-seat,

¹⁵ I beseech you, brethren, ye know the house of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, who are the first-fruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints.

¹ PAUL an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the will of God, and Timothy a brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

⁴ Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great [is] my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in our manifold tribulation.

⁸ I speak not by commandment, but on account of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

¹⁰ And herein I give advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.

¹⁹ And not [that] only, but he was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace which is administred by us to the glory of the Lord, and of your ready mind.

²⁴ Shewing thereby to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.

⁷ So that ye are become ensamples t all that believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.

²⁴ And let us consider one another to provoke unto love, and to good works:

¹ Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. ² Upon the first [day] of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store, as he hath been prospered, that there be no gatherings when I come. ³ And when I come, whomsoever you shall approve, them will I send with [my] epistles to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. ⁴ And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.

¹⁴ For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boating unto Titus is found a truth.

⁶ Insomuch that we have desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

¹⁷ For indeed he accepted the exhortation, but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you. ¹⁸ And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise [is] in the gospel, throughout all the churches: ¹⁹ And not [that] only, but he was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace which is administred by us to the glory of the Lord, and of your ready mind. ²⁰ Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administred by us: ²¹ For providing to do honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. ²² And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence towards us. ²³ Whether for Titus, [he is] my partner, and fellow-helper concerning you: or for our brethren, [they are] the messengers of the churches, the glory of Christ. ²⁴ Shewing thereby to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.

⁴ Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, and we, that we say not, you, should be ashamed in this same confidence. ⁵ Therefore I have thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, which had been promised before, that the same might be ready, as bounty, and not as covetousness.

¹ Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work.

²⁶ For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia, to make a certain contribution for the poor saints who are at Jerusalem,

¹ Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia: ² How that in a great trial of affliction, the abundance of their joy, and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. ³ For to [their] power I bear record, yea, and beyond their power [they were] willing of themselves, ⁴ Praying us with much intreaty, [that we would accept the gift], and the fellowship of the ministring to the saints. ⁵ And this, not as we hoped; but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

² For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.

¹⁷ That which I speak, I speak [it] not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly in this confidence of boasting.

² Upon the first [day] of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store, as he hath been prospered, that there be no gatherings when I come.

¹⁷ Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you? ¹⁸ I desired Titus, and with [him] I sent a brother: did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? not in the same steps?

¹⁷ Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

³⁸ Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall they give into your bosom. For with what measure ye measure shall be measured to you again.

¹⁶ Now the first came saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. ¹⁷ And he said unto him, Well done, thou good servant; because thou hast been faithful in a very little, Have thou authority over ten cities. ¹⁸ Another came and said, Lord, thy pound hath made five pounds. ¹⁹ And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. ²⁰ And another came saying, Lord, behold, thy pound, which I have kept laid up in an handkerchief. ²¹ For I feared thee; For thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou laidst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. ²² But he said unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man; I take up that I laid not down, and I reap that I did not sow: ²³ Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? ²⁴ But he said unto them that stood by, Take [it] from him and carry [it] to him that hath ten pounds. ²⁵ -- ²⁶ For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath, is added! and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

¹² Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.

²⁹ But this I say, brethren, the time is short. It remaineth that both they that have wives, be as though they had none;

²⁰ But now is Christ risen from the dead, the first-fruits of them that are fallen asleep.

¹⁰ Now he that ministreth seed to the sower, will both minister bread for your food, and will multiply your seed sown, and will increase the fruits of your righteousness.

¹⁷ And this I say, The covenant that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

¹⁶ I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

⁷ Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. ⁸ For he that soweth to his flesh, shall of his flesh reap corruption: but he that soweth from the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. ⁹ And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as the Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

⁴ And this I say, lest any one should beguile you with enticing words.

¹⁰ For God [is] not unrighteous, to forget your work of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministred to the saints, and do minister.

³⁵ I have shewed you every thing, that so labouring ye ought to support the weak; and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

⁸ He that exhorteth on exhortation: he that giveth, with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

¹² For if there be first a willing mind, [it is] accepted according to that a man hath, not according to that he hath not.

⁹ Grudge not one against another, my brethren, lest ye be judged: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

⁹ Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

³⁶ Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, who by interpretation is called Dorcas [a Doe] this woman was full of good works, and alms deeds which she did.

⁵⁸ Therefore, my loved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained, that we should walk in them.

²⁰ Now unto him that is able to perform exceeding abundantly all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

¹⁸ But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus what was sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God. ¹⁹ But my God shall supply all your need according to the riches in glory, by Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the Knowledge of God;

¹⁷ Comfort your hearts, and stablish [them] in every good work and word.

¹⁷ That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

¹⁴ Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

⁸ [This is] a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they who have believed in God, may be careful to employ themselves in honest trades: these things are good and profitable unto men.

¹⁴ And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.

¹⁰ As every man hath received the gift, minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

¹³ And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity.

⁵ For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. ⁶ For in Jesus Christ, neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love:

¹ Take heed that ye do not your righteousness before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father in the heavens.

⁶ But thus, He who soweth sparingly, shall reap also sparingly: and he who soweth bountifully, shall reap bountifully.

⁹ For the fruit of the light [is] in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth.

¹¹ Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of Christ. [God.]

¹² And the Lord Jesus make you to increase and abound in love one towards another, and towards all men, even as we [do] towards you:

¹⁰ And indeed ye do it towards all the brethren, which ar in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, Brethren, that ye increase more and more;

⁵ That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and all knowledge:

¹¹ You also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift upon us by the means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on your behalf.

¹⁵ For all things [are] for your sakes, that the abundant grace, might, through the thanksgiving of many, redound to the glory of God.

² How that in a great trial of affliction, the abundance of their joy, and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. ³ For to [their] power I bear record, yea, and beyond their power [they were] willing of themselves,

¹⁶ But thanks [be] to God, who put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.

¹² For the administration of this service, not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

¹⁷ Charge them that are the rich of this present age, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy: ¹⁸ That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

⁴ Praying us with much intreaty, [that we would accept the gift], and the fellowship of the ministring to the saints.

¹ For as touching the ministring to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you.

²⁵ Yet I supposed it necessary, so send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and fellow-soldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.

⁴ I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, ⁵ Hearing of thy faith and love, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus Christ, and toward all saints; ⁶ That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing, which is in you in Christ Jesus. ⁷ For we have had great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, Brother.

¹⁴ What profit [is it,] my Brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? ¹⁵ If a brother or sister be naked, or destitute of daily food; ¹⁶ And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be you warmed, and filled: notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what profit is it?

¹⁷ But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

¹⁶ Let your light so thine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorifie your Father who is in the heavens.

⁸ But when the multitude saw [it], they were affrighted, and glorified God, who has gived such power unto men.

⁴⁶ And why say ye to me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

⁸ Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, so be ye my disciples.

²¹ So when they had further threatned them, they let them go, not finding a cause why they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

¹⁸ When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

¹⁹ And when he had saluted [them], he declared particularly how God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry. ²⁰ And when they heard [it,] they glorified the Lord, saying, Thou seest, brother, how many ten-thousands in Judea there are who have believed, and they are all zealots of the law.

¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

²⁶ But now is made manifest, by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.

¹² Furthermore when I came to Troas by the gospel of Christ, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,

⁵ Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth it self against the knowledge of God, and captivating every thought, and bringing it unto the obedience of Christ:

²⁴ And they glorified God in me.

¹² Fight the good fight of faith, lay bold on eternal life, whereunto thou art called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

¹ Wherefore, Holy Brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and high priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession.

⁹ And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

²³ Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for he [is] faithful that promised:

¹⁶ But to do good, and to communicate, forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased,

⁹ But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the virtues of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

¹¹ If any man speak, as the oracles of God; if any man minister, as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

⁹ And I say unto you, Make to your selves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness;that when it fails, they may receive you into everlasting tabernacles.

¹¹ For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end you may be established:

⁴ I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; ⁵ That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and all knowledge:

¹ Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia:

²⁶ For he longed to see you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.

¹ Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, [my] dearly beloved.

¹⁴ But the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith, and love which is in Christ Jesus.

¹⁶ The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain. ¹⁷ But when he was in Rome, he sought me out diligently, and found [me]. ¹⁸ The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of God in that day: And in how many things he ministred unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, among men of good will.

³⁸ And coming in the same hour she gave thanks unto God, and spake of him to all them that expected redemption in Jerusalem.

¹⁶ For of his fulness have all we received and grace for grace.

¹⁶ For God hath so loved the world, that he hath given his only begotten Son, that every one who believeth on him, should not perish, but have eternal life.

¹⁵ But not as the offence, so also [is] the free gift. For if through the offence of one, the many be dead; much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

²³ For the wages of sin [is] death: but the gift of God [is] eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

³² He that did not so much as spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

⁵⁷ But thanks [be] to God who hath given us the victory, through our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁴ Now thanks [be] unto God, who always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the favour of his knowledge by us in every place.

²⁰ Giving thanks always for all things unto God the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

¹⁷ Every, good gift, and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

⁹ In this was manifested the love of God towards us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. ¹⁰ Herein is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son the propitiation for our sins.

¹¹ And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life: and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that hath the Son, hath life; he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life.

⁹ And when those animals give glory and honour, and thanks to him that sits on the throne, who liveth fo ever and ever,
