¹⁸ For I tell you, that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God shall come.

¹⁸ And I also say unto thee, as thou art called Peter, so upon this rock, which thou hast confessed, will I build my church, and the gates of death shall not prevail against it.

²⁹ but I tell you, that from henceforth I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father.

¹ And He said unto them, Verily I tell you, that there are some of those who stand here, that shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

²³ and He took the cup, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

²⁵ and I assure you, that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine, till the day when I shall drink it new in the kingdom of God.

²³ And they offered Him wine mingled with myrrh to drink, but He would not take it.

²⁷ And I assure you, there be some of those who stand here, that shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God.

³¹ so likewise know ye, when ye see these things coming to pass, that the kingdom of God is at hand.

¹⁶ for I say unto you, that I will not eat of it any more, till it be accomplished in the kingdom of God.

³⁰ Therefore being a prophet; and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Messiah, to sit on his throne; ³¹ foreseeing this he spake of the resurrection of Christ, when he said, that his soul was not left in the invisible state, nor did his flesh see corruption. ³² This Jesus hath God raised up from the dead, of which we all are witnesses. ³³ Therefore being exalted by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the holy Spirit, He hath poured forth this gift, which ye now see and hear. ³⁴ For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he himself says, "The Lord said to my Lord, ³⁵ Sit thou at my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool." ³⁶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made this very Jesus, whom ye crucified, both Lord and Christ.

¹⁸ And be not drunk with wine, in which there is riotous excess; but be filled with the Spirit: ¹⁹ speaking to yourselves in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord:

¹³ who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved Son:
