Acts 13:29-41

ABU(i) 29 And when they had fulfilled all the things written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a tomb. 30 But God raised him from the dead. 31 And he was seen for many days by those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses unto the people. 32 And we declare to you glad tidings of the promise made to the fathers, 33 that God has fulfilled this to us their children, in raising Jesus; as also it is written in the second psalm: Thou art my Son; I this day have begotten thee. 34 And that he raised him up from the dead to return no more to corruption, he has thus spoken: I will give to you the holy, the sure promises of David. 35 Wherefore also in another psalm he says: Thou wilt not suffer thy Holy One to see corruption. 36 For David, having served his own generation according to the purpose of God, fell asleep, and was added to his fathers, and saw corruption. 37 But he, whom God raised, saw not corruption. 38 Be it known to you therefore, men, brethren, that remission of sins through this man is announced to you; 39 and by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye were not able to be justified by the law of Moses. 40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken in the prophets: 41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish; Because I work a work in your days, A work which ye will not believe, Though one should fully declare it to you.
