1 Samuel 7:8-12 And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto Jehovah our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.

9 H8050 And Samuel H3947 took H259 a H2461 sucking H2924 lamb, H5927 and offered H3632 it for a whole H5930 burnt-offering H3068 unto Jehovah: H8050 and Samuel H2199 cried H3068 unto Jehovah H3478 for Israel; H3068 and Jehovah H6030 answered him.

10 H8050 And as Samuel H5927 was offering up H5930 the burnt-offering, H6430 the Philistines H5066 drew near H4421 to battle H3478 against Israel; H3068 but Jehovah H7481 thundered H1419 with a great H6963 thunder H3117 on that day H6430 upon the Philistines, H2000 and discomfited H5062 them; and they were smitten H6440 down before H3478 Israel.

11 H582 And the men H3478 of Israel H3318 went out H4709 of Mizpah, H7291 and pursued H6430 the Philistines, H5221 and smote H1033 them, until they came under Beth-car.

12 H8050 Then Samuel H3947 took H259 a H68 stone, H7760 and set H4709 it between Mizpah H8129 and Shen, H7121 and called H8034 the name H72 of it Eben-ezer, H559 saying, H3068 Hitherto hath Jehovah H5826 helped us.
