Jeremiah 23:9-17 Concerning the prophets. My heart within me is broken, all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of Jehovah, and because of his holy words.

10 H776 For the land H4390 is full H5003 of adulterers; H6440 for because H423 of swearing H776 the land H56 mourneth; H4999 the pastures H4057 of the wilderness H3001 are dried up. H4794 And their course H7451 is evil, H1369 and their might is not right;

11 H5030 for both prophet H3548 and priest H2610 are profane; H1004 yea, in my house H4672 have I found H7451 their wickedness, H5002 saith H3068 Jehovah.

12 H1870 Wherefore their way H2519 shall be unto them as slippery H653 places in the darkness: H1760 they shall be driven on, H5307 and fall H935 therein; for I will bring H7451 evil H8141 upon them, even the year H6486 of their visitation, H5002 saith H3068 Jehovah.

14 H5030 In the prophets H3389 of Jerusalem H7200 also I have seen H8186 a horrible thing: H5003 they commit adultery, H1980 and walk H8267 in lies; H2388 and they strengthen H3027 the hands H7489 of evil-doers, H376 so that none H7725 doth return H7451 from his wickedness: H5467 they are all of them become unto me as Sodom, H3427 and the inhabitants H6017 thereof as Gomorrah.

15 H559 Therefore thus saith H3068 Jehovah H6635 of hosts H5030 concerning the prophets: H398 Behold, I will feed H3939 them with wormwood, H8248 and make them drink H4325 the water H7219 of gall; H5030 for from the prophets H3389 of Jerusalem H2613 is ungodliness H3318 gone forth H776 into all the land.

16 H559 Thus saith H3068 Jehovah H6635 of hosts, H8085 Hearken H1697 not unto the words H5030 of the prophets H5012 that prophesy H1891 unto you: they teach you vanity; H1696 they speak H2377 a vision H3820 of their own heart, H6310 and not out of the mouth H3068 of Jehovah.

17 H559 They say H559 continually H5006 unto them that despise H3068 me, Jehovah H1696 hath said, H7965 Ye shall have peace; H1980 and unto every one that walketh H8307 in the stubbornness H3820 of his own heart H559 they say, H7451 No evil H935 shall come upon you.
