Luke 24:20-27

Anderson(i) 20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him. 21 But we trusted that it was he that was about to redeem Israel. And besides all this, to-day is the third day since these things were done. 22 And further, certain women of our company, who were early at the sepulcher, astonished us: 23 for they found not his body, and came and told that they had seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. 24 And some of those who were with us went to the sepulcher, and found it even as the women had said, but him they saw not. 25 And he said to them: inconsiderate, and slow of heart to believe all things that the prophets have spoken! 26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning from Moses, and all the prophets, he explained to them, in all the Scriptures, the things concerning himself.
