Luke 24:20-27

Worsley(i) 20 how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. 21 But we hoped that it was He that would have delivered Israel: and besides all this, to-day is the third day since these things were done. 22 And indeed some women of our company much surprised us: who having been early at the sepulchre, 23 and not finding his body there, came and said likewise that they had seen a vision of angels, who said He was alive. 24 And some of those that were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it so as the women had said: but Him they did not see. 25 And He said unto them, O people void of understanding and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. 26 Was not the Messiah to suffer these things, and so to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning from Moses, and all the prophets, He explained to them in all the scriptures the things that were spoken concerning Himself.
