John 9:1-12

BLB(i) 1 And passing by, He saw a man blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was that the works of God should be displayed in him. 4 It behooves us to work the works of the One having sent Me while it is day; night is coming, when no one is able to work. 5 While I shall be in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 Having said these things, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes. 7 And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). Therefore he went and washed, and came seeing. 8 Therefore the neighbors and those having seen him before, that he was a beggar, were saying, “Is this not he who was sitting and begging?” 9 Some were saying, “It is he,” but others, were saying, “No, but he is like him.” He kept saying, “I am he.” 10 Therefore they were saying to him, “How then were your eyes opened?” 11 He answered, “The man called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and He said to me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash.’ Therefore having gone and having washed, I received sight.” 12 And they said to him, “Where is He?” He says, “I do not know.”
