Hosea 14

CLV(i) 1 Return, O Israel, unto Yahweh, your Elohim, for you stumble in your depravity." 2 Take words with you and return to Yahweh, your Elohim; say to Him:Wilt You bear away all the depravity? Take the good, and we will repay with the fruit of our lips." 3 Assyria will not save us; we will not ride on the horse. Nor shall we still say, Our elohim, to the work of our hands. For in You, the orphan is being shown compassion." 4 I will heal their backsliding; I will love them willingly, for My anger is reversed from him." 5 I will become as the night mist to Israel. He shall bud as the anemone and shall stretch out his roots as Lebanon. 6 His layer-plants shall go, and his splendor shall become as the olive and his scent as Lebanon." 7 The dwellers in his shadow shall return; they shall make the grain to live; the remembrance of Him shall be as the wine of Lebanon. 8 Ephraim--what are grief fetishes to him any longer? I humble him, and am controlling him. I am as a flourishing fir. Your fruit is found to be from Me." 9 He who is wise will also understand these things. These being understood, he will also acknowledge them. For the ways of Yahweh are upright, and the righteous will walk in them. Yet the transgressors shall be stumbled in them."
