THE TORAH ON THE SCROLL OF DIVORCEMENT When a man takes a woman and marries her and so be it, she finds no charism in his eyes, because he finds some word of nakedness in her: and he inscribes her a scroll of divorcement and gives it in her hand and sends her from his house: 2 and when she departs from his house, and she goes and becomes to another man: 3 and the latter man hates her and inscribes her a scroll of divorcement and gives it in her hand and sends her from his house: or the latter man who took her to be his woman, dies; 4 her first master, who sent her away, cannot return to take her as his woman after she fouls; for that is abhorrence at the face of Yah Veh: lest the land sin, which Yah Veh your Elohim gives you - an inheritance. 5
THE TORAH ON SUNDRY MATTERS When a man takes a new woman, he neither goes to the hostility nor passes any word over him: but exonerate him at home one year to cheer the woman he takes. 6 No man takes the millstone or the upper millstone to pledge: for he takes a soul to pledge. 7 When you find a man stealing a soul from his brothers - of the sons of Yisra El and tyrranizes him or sells him; that thief dies; and you burn evil from among you. 8 On guard in the plague of leprosy, that you guard mightily and work all the priests the Leviym point out to you: as I misvahed them, thus guard to work. 9 Remember what Yah Veh your Elohim worked to Miryam by the way, after you came from Misrayim. 10 When you lend your friend a loan, go not to his house to pledge his pledge: 11 stand outside; and the man to whom you lend brings the pledge outside to you. 12 And if the man is humbled, lie not down with his pledge: 13 in returning, return the pledge to him when the sun goes down, so that he lies down in his own clothes and blesses you: and it becomes your justness at the face of Yah Veh your Elohim. 14 Oppress not a hireling, humbled and needy, of your brothers or of the sojourners in your land within your portals: 15 in his day, give him his hire, that the sun not go down thereon; for he is humbled and lifts his soul thereon: lest he call Yah Veh against you and it becomes sin to you. 16 Neither deathify the fathers for the sons; nor deathify the sons for the fathers: deathify every man for his own sin. 17 Neither deviate the judgment of the sojourner nor of the orphan; nor take the clothes of a widow to pledge: 18 and remember that you were a servant in Misrayim and Yah Veh your Elohim redeemed you there: so I misvah you to work this word. 19 When you harvest your harvest in your field, and forget an omer in the field, return not to take it: it becomes for the sojourner, for the orphan and for the widow: and Yah Veh your Elohim blesses you in all the work of your hands. 20 When you beat your olive tree, shake not after you: it becomes for the sojourner, for the orphan and for the widow. 21 When you clip the grapes of your vineyard, exploit not after you: it becomes for the sojourner, for the orphan and for the widow: 22 and remember, you were a servant in the land of Misrayim: so I misvah you to work this word.
