Hosea 2

THE JUDGMENT OF YAH VEH
Say to your brothers, Ammi/My people; and to your sisters, Ruchamah/Mercied. 2 Plead with your mother - plead: for she is neither my woman nor I her man: have her turn aside her whoredoms from her face and her adulteries from between her breasts; 3 lest I strip her naked and set her as in the day she was birthed; and set her as a wilderness and set her as a parched land and deathify her with thirst: 4 and I not mercy her sons; for they are the sons of whoredoms: 5 for their mother whores: she who conceived them shames - for she says, I go after my lovers who give me my bread and my water; my wool and my flax; my oil and my drink: 6 so behold, I hedge your way with thorns, and wall a wall that she not find her paths: 7 and she pursues her lovers and overtakes them not; and she seeks them and finds them not. And she says, I go and return to my first man; for it was better with me than at this time. 8 - and she knows not that I gave her crop and juice and oil; and abounded her silver and gold which they worked for Baal. 9 So I return and take away my crop in time and my juice in season; and rescue my wool and my flax which covers her nakedness. 10 And now I expose her vulva in the eyes of her lovers, and no man rescues her from my hand. 11 I also shabbathize all her joy - her celebrations, her new moons, and her shabbaths, and all her seasons: 12 and I desolate her vines and her fig trees whereof she says, These are my payoffs my lovers give me: and I set them a forest and the live beings of the field eat them: 13 and I visit on her the days of Baalim, wherein she incenses to them; and adorns herself with her noserings and her ornaments, and goes after her lovers, and forgets me - an oracle of Yah Veh. 14
THE RESTORATION OF YAH VEH
So behold, I entice her; and carry her into the wilderness and word comfortably to her: 15 and I give her her vineyards from there and Gaymek Achor for an opening of hope: and there she answers as in the days of her youth - as in the day she ascended from the land of Misrayim. 16 And so be it, at that day, - an oracle of Yah Veh that you call me Ishi/My Man; and call me no more Baali/My Baal. 17 For I turn aside the names of Baalim from her mouth, - no more remembered by name: 18 and in that day, I cut a covenant for them with the live beings of the field and with the flyers of the heavens and with the creepers of the soil: and I break the bow and the sword and the war from the earth and lay them down confidently: 19 and I betroth you to me eternally; yes, I betroth you to me in justness and in judgment; and in mercy and in mercies: 20 and betroth you to me in trustworthiness: and you know Yah Veh: 21 and so be it, in that day, I answer - an oracle of Yah Veh - I answer the heavens and they answer the earth; 22 and the earth answers the crop and the juice and the oil; and they answer Yizre El: 23 and I seed her to me in the earth; and I have Mercy/Ruchamah on Not Mercied/Lo Ruchamah; and to Not My People/Lo Ammi, I say My People/Ammi; and they say, My Elohim.
