Is not Shomeron as Dammeseq? ¹⁰ As my hand found the sovereigndoms of the idol, and their sculptiles of Yeru Shalem and Shomeron; ¹¹ Work I not as I worked to Shomeron and her idols? Work thus to Yeru Shalem and her idols? ¹² And so be it, when Adonay clips his whole work on mount Siyon and on Yeru Shalem, I visit upon the fruit of the greatness of heart of the sovereign of Ashshur and the adornment of his haughty eyes. ¹³ For he said, By the force of my hand, I worked; and by my wisdom, I discerned: and I turned aside the borders of the people and plundered their treasures; and I brought down the settlers as the mighty: ¹⁴ and my hand found, as a nest, the valuables of the people: and as one gathers abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth; and no one flapped the wing or gaped the mouth or chirped.
