Job 18

BILDAD ANSWERS
And Bildad the Shuachiy answers and says, 2 Until when set you an end of utterances? Discern - and afterwards we word. 3 Why are we machinated as animals? - and foul in your eyes? 4 He tears his soul in his wrath. Is the earth forsaken for your sake? Is the rock removed from its place? 5 Yes, the light of the wicked extinguishes and the flame of his fire illuminates not; 6 the light darkens in his tent and his lamp extinguishes with him; 7 the paces of his strength constrict and his own counsel casts him down. 8 For he is sent into a net by his own feet and he walks on a netting; 9 the snare holds him by the heel and the robber prevails against him; 10 his cord is hidden in the earth - his trap in the path. 11 Terrors frighten him all around and scatter him to his feet; 12 his strength famishes and calamity prepares at his side. 13 It devours the strength of his veins - the firstbirthed of death devours his veins. 14 His confidence is torn from his tent and paces him to the sovereign of terrors. 15 It tabernacles in his tent without him; sulphur is winnowed on his habitation of rest. 16 His roots wither below and above his harvest is clipped: 17 his memorial destructs from the earth and he has no name at the face of the outways: 18 he is exiled from light into darkness and chased from the world. 19 He has neither son nor posterity among his people, nor survivors in his sojournings. 20 They who come after him astonish at his day as the ancients whirl away. 21 Surely such are the tabernacles of the wicked and this is the place of him who knows not El.
