Job 18:5-14

ECB(i) 5 Yes, the light of the wicked extinguishes and the flame of his fire illuminates not; 6 the light darkens in his tent and his lamp extinguishes with him; 7 the paces of his strength constrict and his own counsel casts him down. 8 For he is sent into a net by his own feet and he walks on a netting; 9 the snare holds him by the heel and the robber prevails against him; 10 his cord is hidden in the earth - his trap in the path. 11 Terrors frighten him all around and scatter him to his feet; 12 his strength famishes and calamity prepares at his side. 13 It devours the strength of his veins - the firstbirthed of death devours his veins. 14 His confidence is torn from his tent and paces him to the sovereign of terrors.
