1 Corinthians 12:14-26

Godbey(i) 14 For truly the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot may say; Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; it is not on account of this not of the body. 16 And if the ear may say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body, it is not on account of this not of the body. 17 If the eye were the whole body, where is the hearing? If the hearing where the whole body, where is the smelling? 18 But now God has placed the members each one of them in the body, as he wished. 19 And if all were one member, where is the body? 20 But now indeed the members are many, but the body is one. 21 But the eye is not able to say to the hand, I have no need of you: or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you: 22 but much more are the members of the body which seem to be the weaker necessary: 23 and those which we regard the more dishonorable members of the body, upon these we confer the more abundant honors; and our uncomely members have the more abundant comeliness; 24 but our comely members have no need. But God has adjusted the body, having given the more abundant honor to that part which lacked; 25 in order that there may be no schisms in the body, but the members may care the same for one another. 26 And if one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; if one member is glorified, all the members rejoice with it.
