Godbey⁽ⁱ⁾ ²² Israelitish men, hear these words, Jesus the Nazarene, a man having been demonstrated unto you from God by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did through Him in your midst, as yourselves know; ²³ Him by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, having been delivered, you having nailed up, slew through the hand of lawless men; ²⁴ whom God raised up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was impossible that he should be held by it. ²⁵ For David says in reference to him, I foresaw my Lord always before me, because he is on my right hand, in order that I may not be moved. ²⁶ Therefore my heart rejoiced and my tongue was glad, and my flesh shall indeed still rest in hope, ²⁷ because thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades, nor suffer thy Holy One to see corruption. ²⁸ Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt fill me with gladness with thy countenance.
