G1161 But G3962 the father G2036 said [G5627]   G4314 to G846 his G1401 servants G1627 , Bring forth [G5657]   G4413 the best G4749 robe G2532 , and G1746 put it on [G5657]   G846 him G2532 ; and G1325 put [G5628]   G1146 a ring G1519 on G846 his G5495 hand G2532 , and G5266 shoes G1519 on G4228 his feet:
G2532 And G5342 bring hither [G5660]   G4618 the fatted G3448 calf G2380 , and kill [G5657]   G2532 it; and G5315 let us eat [G5631]   G2165 , and be merry [G5686]  :
G3754 For G3778 this G3450 my G5207 son G2258 was [G5713]   G3498 dead G2532 , and G326 is alive again [G5656]   G2532 ; G2258 he was [G5713]   G622 lost [G5756]   G2532 , and G2147 is found [G5681]   G2532 . And G756 they began [G5662]   G2165 to be merry [G5745]  .
G1161 Now G846 his G4245 elder G5207 son G2258 was [G5713]   G1722 in G68 the field G2532 : and G5613 as G2064 he came [G5740]   G1448 and drew nigh [G5656]   G3614 to the house G191 , he heard [G5656]   G4858 musick G2532 and G5525 dancing.
G2532 And G4341 he called [G5666]   G1520 one G3816 of the servants G4441 , and asked [G5711]   G5101 what G5023 these things G1498 meant [G5751]  .
G1161 And G2036 he said [G5627]   G846 unto him G3754 , G4675 Thy G80 brother G2240 is come [G5719]   G2532 ; and G4675 thy G3962 father G2380 hath killed [G5656]   G4618 the fatted G3448 calf G3754 , because G618 he hath received [G5627]   G846 him G5198 safe and sound [G5723]  .
G1161 And G3710 he was angry [G5681]   G2532 , and G2309 would [G5707]   G3756 not G1525 go in [G5629]   G3767 : therefore G1831 came G846 his G3962 father G1831 out [G5631]   G3870 , and intreated [G5707]   G846 him.
G1161 And G611 he answering [G5679]   G2036 said [G5627]   G3962 to his father G2400 , Lo [G5628]   G5118 , these many G2094 years G1398 do I serve [G5719]   G4671 thee G3763 , neither G3928 transgressed I [G5627]   G3763 at any time G4675 thy G1785 commandment G2532 : and G2532 yet G1325 thou G3763 never G1325 gavest [G5656]   G1698 me G2056 a kid G2443 , that G2165 I might make merry [G5686]   G3326 with G3450 my G5384 friends:
G1161 But G3753 as soon as G3778 this G4675 thy G5207 son G2064 was come [G5627]   G3588 , which G2719 hath devoured [G5631]   G4675 thy G979 living G3326 with G4204 harlots G2380 , thou hast killed [G5656]   G846 for him G4618 the fatted G3448 calf.
G1161 And G2036 he said [G5627]   G846 unto him G5043 , Son G4771 , thou G1488 art [G5748]   G3842 ever G3326 with G1700 me G2532 , and G3956 all G1699 that I have G2076 is [G5748]   G4674 thine.
G1161 It was G1163 meet [G5713]   G2165 that we should make merry [G5683]   G2532 , and G5463 be glad [G5646]   G3754 : for G3778 this G4675 thy G80 brother G2258 was [G5713]   G3498 dead G2532 , and G326 is alive again [G5656]   G2532 ; and G2258 was [G5713]   G622 lost [G5756]   G2532 , and G2147 is found [G5681]  .
ERV(i) 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth quickly the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23 and bring the fatted calf, [and] kill it, and let us eat, and make merry: 24 for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. 25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he called to him one of the servants, and inquired what these things might be. 27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. 28 But he was angry, and would not go in: and his father came out, and entreated him. 29 But he answered and said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, and I never transgressed a commandment of thine: and [yet] thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: 30 but when this thy son came, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou killedst for him the fatted calf. 31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that is mine is thine. 32 But it was meet to make merry and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive [again]; and [was] lost, and is found.
