  2 H5633 And the lords H6430 of the Philistines H5674 passed on [H8802]   H3967 by hundreds H505 , and by thousands H1732 : but David H582 and his men H5674 passed on [H8802]   H314 in the rereward H397 with Achish.
  3 H559 Then said [H8799]   H8269 the princes H6430 of the Philistines H5680 , What do these Hebrews H397 here ? And Achish H559 said [H8799]   H8269 unto the princes H6430 of the Philistines H1732 , Is not this David H5650 , the servant H7586 of Saul H4428 the king H3478 of Israel H3117 , which hath been with me these days H8141 , or these years H4672 , and I have found [H8804]   H3972 no fault H3117 in him since H5307 he fell [H8800]   H3117 unto me unto this day?
  4 H8269 And the princes H6430 of the Philistines H7107 were wroth [H8799]   H8269 with him; and the princes H6430 of the Philistines H559 said [H8799]   H7725 unto him, Make H376 this fellow H7725 return [H8685]   H7725 , that he may go again [H8799]   H4725 to his place H6485 which thou hast appointed [H8689]   H3381 him, and let him not go down [H8799]   H4421 with us to battle H4421 , lest in the battle H7854 he be an adversary H7521 to us: for wherewith should he reconcile [H8691]   H113 himself unto his master H7218 ? should it not be with the heads H582 of these men?
  5 H1732 Is not this David H6030 , of whom they sang [H8799]   H4246 one to another in dances H559 , saying [H8800]   H7586 , Saul H5221 slew [H8689]   H505 his thousands H1732 , and David H7233 his ten thousands?
  6 H397 Then Achish H7121 called [H8799]   H1732 David H559 , and said [H8799]   H3068 unto him, Surely, as the LORD H2416 liveth H3477 , thou hast been upright H3318 , and thy going out [H8800]   H935 and thy coming in [H8800]   H4264 with me in the host H2896 is good H5869 in my sight H4672 : for I have not found [H8804]   H7451 evil H3117 in thee since the day H935 of thy coming [H8800]   H3117 unto me unto this day H5633 : nevertheless the lords H2896 favour H5869 thee not.
  7 H7725 Wherefore now return [H8798]   H3212 , and go [H8798]   H7965 in peace H6213 , that thou displease [H8799]   H7451   H5869   H5633 not the lords H6430 of the Philistines.
  8 H1732 And David H559 said [H8799]   H397 unto Achish H6213 , But what have I done [H8804]   H4672 ? and what hast thou found [H8804]   H5650 in thy servant H3117 so long as H6440 I have been with thee H3117 unto this day H935 , that I may not go [H8799]   H3898 fight [H8738]   H341 against the enemies [H8802]   H113 of my lord H4428 the king?
  9 H397 And Achish H6030 answered [H8799]   H559 and said [H8799]   H1732 to David H3045 , I know [H8804]   H2896 that thou art good H5869 in my sight H4397 , as an angel H430 of God H8269 : notwithstanding the princes H6430 of the Philistines H559 have said [H8804]   H5927 , He shall not go up [H8799]   H4421 with us to the battle.
  10 H7925 Wherefore now rise up early [H8685]   H1242 in the morning H113 with thy master's H5650 servants H935 that are come [H8804]   H7925 with thee: and as soon as ye be up early [H8689]   H1242 in the morning H215 , and have light [H8804]   H3212 , depart [H8798]  .
  11 H1732 So David H582 and his men H7925 rose up early [H8686]   H3212 to depart [H8800]   H1242 in the morning H7725 , to return [H8800]   H776 into the land H6430 of the Philistines H6430 . And the Philistines H5927 went up [H8804]   H3157 to Jezreel.

  3 H559 ויאמרו Then said H8269 שׂרי the princes H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines, H4100 מה What H5680 העברים Hebrews H428 האלה these H559 ויאמר said H397 אכישׁ And Achish H413 אל unto H8269 שׂרי the princes H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines, H3808 הלוא not H2088 זה this H1732 דוד David, H5650 עבד the servant H7586 שׁאול of Saul H4428 מלך the king H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H834 אשׁר which H1961 היה hath been H854 אתי with H2088 זה me these H3117 ימים days, H176 או or H2088 זה these H8141 שׁנים years, H3808 ולא no H4672 מצאתי and I have found H3972 בו מאומה fault H3117 מיום in him since H5307 נפלו he fell H5704 עד unto H3117 היום day?   4 H7107 ויקצפו were wroth H5921 עליו   H8269 שׂרי And the princes H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines H559 ויאמרו said H8269 לו שׂרי him; and the princes H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines H7725 השׁב that he may go again H853 את   H376 האישׁ men?   6 H7121 ויקרא called H397 אכישׁ Then Achish H413 אל called H1732 דוד David, H559 ויאמר and said H413 אליו unto H2416 חי liveth, H3068 יהוה him, Surely, the LORD H3588 כי for H3477 ישׁר hast been upright, H859 אתה thou H2896 וטוב good H5869 בעיני in my sight: H3318 צאתך and thy going out H935 ובאך and thy coming in H854 אתי with H4264 במחנה me in the host H3588 כי   H3808 לא I have not H4672 מצאתי found H7451 בך רעה evil H3117 מיום in thee since the day H935 באך of thy coming H413 אלי unto H5704 עד me unto H3117 היום day: H2088 הזה this H5869 ובעיני nevertheless the lords H5633 הסרנים nevertheless the lords H3808 לא not.   7 H6258 ועתה Wherefore now H7725 שׁוב return, H1980 ולך and go H7965 בשׁלום in peace, H3808 ולא not H6213 תעשׂה that thou displease H7451 רע   H5869 בעיני   H5633 סרני the lords H6430 פלשׁתים׃ of the Philistines.
  8 H559 ויאמר said H1732 דוד And David H413 אל unto H397 אכישׁ Achish, H3588 כי But H4100 מה what H6213 עשׂיתי have I done? H4100 ומה and what H4672 מצאת hast thou found H5650 בעבדך in thy servant H3117 מיום so long H834 אשׁר as H1961 הייתי I have been H6440 לפניך with H5704 עד thee unto H3117 היום day, H2088 הזה this H3588 כי that H3808 לא I may not H935 אבוא   H3898 ונלחמתי fight H341 באיבי against the enemies H113 אדני of my lord H4428 המלך׃ the king?
  9 H6030 ויען answered H397 אכישׁ And Achish H559 ויאמר and said H413 אל to H1732 דוד David, H3045 ידעתי I know H3588 כי that H2896 טוב good H859 אתה thou H5869 בעיני in my sight, H4397 כמלאך as an angel H430 אלהים of God: H389 אך notwithstanding H8269 שׂרי the princes H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines H559 אמרו have said, H3808 לא He shall not H5927 יעלה go up H5973 עמנו with H4421 במלחמה׃ us to the battle.
  10 H6258 ועתה Wherefore now H7925 השׁכם rise up early H1242 בבקר in the morning H5650 ועבדי servants H113 אדניך with thy master's H834 אשׁר that H935 באו are come H854 אתך with H7925 והשׁכמתם thee: and as soon as ye be up early H1242 בבקר in the morning, H215 ואור   H1980 לכם ולכו׃ depart.
  11 H7925 וישׁכם rose up early H1732 דוד So David H1931 הוא   H582 ואנשׁיו   H1980 ללכת to depart H1242 בבקר in the morning, H7725 לשׁוב to return H413 אל into H776 ארץ the land H6430 פלשׁתים of the Philistines. H6430 ופלשׁתים And the Philistines H5927 עלו went up H3157 יזרעאל׃ to Jezreel.
