Nehemiah 13:23-27

  24 H1121 And their children H1696 spake [H8764]   H2677 half H797 in the speech of Ashdod H5234 , and could [H8688]   H1696 not speak [H8763]   H3066 in the Jews' language H3956 , but according to the language H5971 of each H5971 people.
  25 H7378 And I contended [H8799]   H7043 with them, and cursed [H8762]   H5221 them, and smote [H8686]   H582 certain H4803 of them, and plucked off their hair [H8799]   H7650 , and made them swear [H8686]   H430 by God H5414 , saying, Ye shall not give [H8799]   H1323 your daughters H1121 unto their sons H5375 , nor take [H8799]   H1323 their daughters H1121 unto your sons, or for yourselves.
  26 H8010 Did not Solomon H4428 king H3478 of Israel H2398 sin [H8804]   H7227 by these things? yet among many H1471 nations H4428 was there no king H157 like him, who was beloved [H8803]   H430 of his God H430 , and God H5414 made [H8799]   H4428 him king H3478 over all Israel H1571 : nevertheless even him H5237 did outlandish H802 women H2398 cause to sin [H8689]  .
  27 H8085 Shall we then hearken [H8799]   H6213 unto you to do [H8800]   H1419 all this great H7451 evil H4603 , to transgress [H8800]   H430 against our God H3427 in marrying [H8687]   H5237 strange H802 wives?

  25 H7378 ואריב And I contended H5973 עמם with H7043 ואקללם them, and cursed H5221 ואכה them, and smote H1992 מהם   H376 אנשׁים certain H4803 ואמרטם them, and plucked off their hair, H7650 ואשׁביעם and made them swear H430 באלהים by God, H518 אם Ye shall not H5414 תתנו give H1323 בנתיכם your daughters H1121 לבניהם unto their sons, H518 ואם nor H5375 תשׂאו take H1323 מבנתיהם their daughters H1121 לבניכם׃ unto your sons,
  26 H3808 הלוא Did not H5921 על by H428 אלה these things? H2398 חטא sin H8010 שׁלמה Solomon H4428 מלך king H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H1471 ובגוים nations H7227 הרבים yet among many H3808 לא there no H1961 היה was H4428 מלך king H3644 כמהו like him, H157 ואהוב beloved H430 לאלהיו of his God, H1961 היה who was H5414 ויתנהו made H430 אלהים and God H4428 מלך him king H5921 על over H3605 כל all H3478 ישׂראל Israel: H1571 גם nevertheless H853 אותו   H2398 החטיאו cause to sin.   27 H8085 ולכם הנשׁמע Shall we then hearken H6213 לעשׂת unto you to do H853 את   H3605 כל all H7451 הרעה evil, H1419 הגדולה great H2063 הזאת this H4603 למעל to transgress H430 באלהינו against our God H3427 להשׁיב in marrying H802 נשׁים wives? H5237 נכריות׃ strange
