Numbers 25:6-11 And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses , and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel , who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

7 H6372 And when Phinehas H1121 , the son H499 of Eleazar H1121 , the son H175 of Aaron H3548 the priest H7200 , saw [H8799] H6965 it, he rose up [H8799] H8432 from among H5712 the congregation H3947 , and took [H8799] H7420 a javelin H3027 in his hand;

8 H935 And he went [H8799] H310 after H376 the man H3478 of Israel H6898 into the tent H1856 , and thrust [H8799] H8147 both H376 of them through, the man H3478 of Israel H802 , and the woman H413 through H6897 her belly H4046 . So the plague H6113 was stayed [H8735] H1121 from the children H3478 of Israel.

9 H4191 And those that died [H8801] H4046 in the plague H6242 were twenty H702 and four H505 thousand.

10 H3068 And the LORD H1696 spake [H8762] H4872 unto Moses H559 , saying [H8800] ,

11 H6372 Phinehas H1121 , the son H499 of Eleazar H1121 , the son H175 of Aaron H3548 the priest H7725 , hath turned H2534 my wrath H7725 away [H8689] H1121 from the children H3478 of Israel H7065 , while he was zealous [H8763] H7068 for my sake H8432 among H3615 them, that I consumed [H8765] H1121 not the children H3478 of Israel H7068 in my jealousy.

7 H7200 וירא saw H6372 פינחס And when Phinehas, H1121 בן the son H499 אלעזר of Eleazar, H1121 בן the son H175 אהרן of Aaron H3548 הכהן the priest, H6965 ויקם he rose up H8432 מתוך from among H5712 העדה the congregation, H3947 ויקח and took H7420 רמח a javelin H3027 בידו׃ in his hand;

8 H935 ויבא And he went H310 אחר after H376 אישׁ the man H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H413 אל into H6898 הקבה the tent, H1856 וידקר and thrust H853 את H8147 שׁניהם both H853 את H376 אישׁ of them through, the man H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H853 ואת H802 האשׁה and the woman H413 אל through H6897 קבתה her belly. H6113 ותעצר was stayed H4046 המגפה So the plague H5921 מעל from H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.

9 H1961 ויהיו were H4191 המתים And those that died H4046 במגפה in the plague H702 ארבעה and four H6242 ועשׂרים twenty H505 אלף׃ thousand.

10 H1696 וידבר spoke H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H4872 משׁה Moses, H559 לאמר׃ saying,

11 H6372 פינחס Phinehas, H1121 בן the son H499 אלעזר of Eleazar, H1121 בן the son H175 אהרן of Aaron H3548 הכהן the priest, H7725 השׁיב H853 את H2534 חמתי H5921 מעל from H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H7068 בקנאו for my sake H853 את H7068 קנאתי in my jealousy. H8432 בתוכם among H3808 ולא not H3615 כליתי them, that I consumed H853 את H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H7068 בקנאתי׃
