  3 H705 And it came to pass in the fortieth H8141 year H6249 , in the eleventh H6240   H2320 month H259 , on the first H2320 day of the month H4872 , that Moses H1696 spake [H8765]   H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel H3068 , according unto all that the LORD H6680 had given him in commandment [H8765]   unto them;
  4 H310 After H5221 he had slain [H8687]   H5511 Sihon H4428 the king H567 of the Amorites H3427 , which dwelt [H8802]   H2809 in Heshbon H5747 , and Og H4428 the king H1316 of Bashan H3427 , which dwelt [H8802]   H6252 at Astaroth H154 in Edrei:
  5 H5676 On this side H3383 Jordan H776 , in the land H4124 of Moab H2974 , began [H8689]   H4872 Moses H874 to declare [H8763]   H8451 this law H559 , saying [H8800]  ,
  6 H3068 The LORD H430 our God H1696 spake [H8765]   H2722 unto us in Horeb H559 , saying [H8800]   H3427 , Ye have dwelt [H8800]   H7227 long enough H2022 in this mount:
  7 H6437 Turn [H8798]   H5265 you, and take your journey [H8798]   H935 , and go [H8798]   H2022 to the mount H567 of the Amorites H7934 , and unto all the places nigh H6160 thereunto, in the plain H2022 , in the hills H8219 , and in the vale H5045 , and in the south H3220 , and by the sea H2348 side H776 , to the land H3669 of the Canaanites H3844 , and unto Lebanon H1419 , unto the great H5104 river H5104 , the river H6578 Euphrates.
  8 H7200 Behold [H8798]   H5414 , I have set [H8804]   H776 the land H6440 before H935 you: go [H8798]   H3423 in and possess [H8798]   H776 the land H3068 which the LORD H7650 sware [H8738]   H1 unto your fathers H85 , Abraham H3327 , Isaac H3290 , and Jacob H5414 , to give [H8800]   H2233 unto them and to their seed H310 after them.
  9 H559 And I spake [H8799]   H6256 unto you at that time H559 , saying [H8800]   H3201 , I am not able [H8799]   H5375 to bear [H8800]   H905 you myself alone:
  10 H3068 The LORD H430 your God H7235 hath multiplied [H8689]   H3117 you, and, behold, ye are this day H3556 as the stars H8064 of heaven H7230 for multitude.
  11 H3068 (The LORD H430 God H1 of your fathers H505 make you a thousand H6471 times H3254 so many more as [H8686]   H1288 ye are, and bless [H8762]   H1696 you, as he hath promised [H8765]   you!)
  12 H349 How H5375 can I myself alone bear [H8799]   H2960 your cumbrance H4853 , and your burden H7379 , and your strife?
  13 H3051 Take [H8798]   H2450 you wise H582 men H995 , and understanding [H8737]   H3045 , and known [H8803]   H7626 among your tribes H7760 , and I will make [H8799]   H7218 them rulers over you.
  14 H6030 And ye answered [H8799]   H559 me, and said [H8799]   H1697 , The thing H1696 which thou hast spoken [H8765]   H2896 is good H6213 for us to do [H8800]  .
  15 H3947 So I took [H8799]   H7218 the chief H7626 of your tribes H2450 , wise H582 men H3045 , and known [H8803]   H5414 , and made [H8799]   H7218 them heads H8269 over you, captains H505 over thousands H8269 , and captains H3967 over hundreds H8269 , and captains H2572 over fifties H8269 , and captains H6235 over tens H7860 , and officers [H8802]   H7626 among your tribes.
  16 H6680 And I charged [H8762]   H8199 your judges [H8802]   H6256 at that time H559 , saying [H8800]   H8085 , Hear [H8800]   H251 the causes between your brethren H8199 , and judge [H8804]   H6664 righteously H376 between every man H251 and his brother H1616 , and the stranger that is with him.
  17 H5234 Ye shall not respect [H8686]   H6440 persons H4941 in judgment H8085 ; but ye shall hear [H8799]   H6996 the small H1419 as well as the great H1481 ; ye shall not be afraid [H8799]   H6440 of the face H376 of man H4941 ; for the judgment H430 is God's H1697 : and the cause H7185 that is too hard [H8799]   H7126 for you, bring [H8686]   H8085 it unto me, and I will hear [H8804]   it.
  18 H6680 And I commanded [H8762]   H6256 you at that time H1697 all the things H6213 which ye should do [H8799]  .
  19 H5265 And when we departed [H8799]   H2722 from Horeb H3212 , we went through [H8799]   H1419 all that great H3372 and terrible [H8737]   H4057 wilderness H7200 , which ye saw [H8804]   H1870 by the way H2022 of the mountain H567 of the Amorites H3068 , as the LORD H430 our God H6680 commanded [H8765]   H935 us; and we came [H8799]   H6947 to Kadeshbarnea.
  20 H559 And I said [H8799]   H935 unto you, Ye are come [H8804]   H2022 unto the mountain H567 of the Amorites H3068 , which the LORD H430 our God H5414 doth give [H8802]   unto us.
  21 H7200 Behold [H8798]   H3068 , the LORD H430 thy God H5414 hath set [H8804]   H776 the land H6440 before H5927 thee: go up [H8798]   H3423 and possess [H8798]   H3068 it, as the LORD H430 God H1 of thy fathers H1696 hath said [H8765]   H3372 unto thee; fear [H8799]   H2865 not, neither be discouraged [H8735]  .
  22 H7126 And ye came near [H8799]   H559 unto me every one of you, and said [H8799]   H7971 , We will send [H8799]   H582 men H6440 before H2658 us, and they shall search us out [H8799]   H776 the land H7725 , and bring H1697 us word H7725 again [H8686]   H1870 by what way H5927 we must go up [H8799]   H5892 , and into what cities H935 we shall come [H8799]  .
  23 H1697 And the saying H3190 pleased me well [H8799]   H5869   H3947 : and I took [H8799]   H8147 twelve H6240   H582 men H259 of you, one H376 of a tribe H7626  :
  24 H6437 And they turned [H8799]   H5927 and went up [H8799]   H2022 into the mountain H935 , and came [H8799]   H5158 unto the valley H812 of Eshcol H7270 , and searched it out [H8762]  .
  25 H3947 And they took [H8799]   H6529 of the fruit H776 of the land H3027 in their hands H3381 , and brought it down [H8686]   H7725 unto us, and brought H1697 us word H7725 again [H8686]   H559 , and said [H8799]   H2896 , It is a good H776 land H3068 which the LORD H430 our God H5414 doth give [H8802]   us.
  26 H14 Notwithstanding ye would [H8804]   H5927 not go up [H8800]   H4784 , but rebelled [H8686]   H6310 against the commandment H3068 of the LORD H430 your God:
  27 H7279 And ye murmured [H8735]   H168 in your tents H559 , and said [H8799]   H3068 , Because the LORD H8135 hated H3318 us, he hath brought us forth [H8689]   H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt H5414 , to deliver [H8800]   H3027 us into the hand H567 of the Amorites H8045 , to destroy [H8687]   us.
  28 H5927 Whither shall we go up [H8802]   H251 ? our brethren H4549 have discouraged [H8689]   H3824 our heart H559 , saying [H8800]   H5971 , The people H1419 is greater H7311 and taller [H8802]   H5892 than we; the cities H1419 are great H1219 and walled up [H8803]   H8064 to heaven H7200 ; and moreover we have seen [H8804]   H1121 the sons H6062 of the Anakims there.
  29 H559 Then I said [H8799]   H6206 unto you, Dread [H8799]   H3372 not, neither be afraid [H8799]   of them.
  30 H3068 The LORD H430 your God H1980 which goeth [H8802]   H6440 before H3898 you, he shall fight [H8735]   H6213 for you, according to all that he did [H8804]   H4714 for you in Egypt H5869 before your eyes;
  31 H4057 And in the wilderness H7200 , where thou hast seen [H8804]   H3068 how that the LORD H430 thy God H5375 bare [H8804]   H376 thee, as a man H5375 doth bear [H8799]   H1121 his son H1870 , in all the way H1980 that ye went [H8804]   H935 , until ye came [H8800]   H4725 into this place.
  32 H1697 Yet in this thing H539 ye did not believe [H8688]   H3068 the LORD H430 your God,
  33 H1980 Who went [H8802]   H1870 in the way H6440 before H8446 you, to search you out [H8800]   H4725 a place H2583 to pitch your tents [H8800]   H784 in, in fire H3915 by night H7200 , to shew [H8687]   H1870 you by what way H3212 ye should go [H8799]   H6051 , and in a cloud H3119 by day.
  34 H3068 And the LORD H8085 heard [H8799]   H6963 the voice H1697 of your words H7107 , and was wroth [H8799]   H7650 , and sware [H8735]   H559 , saying [H8800]  ,
  35 H376 Surely there shall not one H582 of these men H7451 of this evil H1755 generation H7200 see [H8799]   H2896 that good H776 land H7650 , which I sware [H8738]   H5414 to give [H8800]   H1 unto your fathers,
  36 H2108 Save H3612 Caleb H1121 the son H3312 of Jephunneh H7200 ; he shall see [H8799]   H5414 it, and to him will I give [H8799]   H776 the land H834 that H1869 he hath trodden upon [H8804]   H1121 , and to his children H4390 , because he hath wholly [H8765]   H310 followed H3068 the LORD.
  37 H3068 Also the LORD H599 was angry [H8694]   H1558 with me for your sakes H559 , saying [H8800]   H935 , Thou also shalt not go [H8799]   H8033 in thither.
  38 H3091 But Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun H5975 , which standeth [H8802]   H6440 before H935 thee, he shall go in [H8799]   H2388 thither: encourage [H8761]   H3478 him: for he shall cause Israel H5157 to inherit [H8686]   it.
  39 H2945 Moreover your little ones H559 , which ye said [H8804]   H957 should be a prey H1121 , and your children H3117 , which in that day H3045 had no knowledge [H8804]   H2896 between good H7451 and evil H935 , they shall go in [H8799]   H5414 thither, and unto them will I give [H8799]   H3423 it, and they shall possess [H8799]   it.
  40 H6437 But as for you, turn [H8798]   H5265 you, and take your journey [H8798]   H4057 into the wilderness H1870 by the way H5488 of the Red H3220 sea.
  41 H6030 Then ye answered [H8799]   H559 and said [H8799]   H2398 unto me, We have sinned [H8804]   H3068 against the LORD H5927 , we will go up [H8799]   H3898 and fight [H8738]   H3068 , according to all that the LORD H430 our God H6680 commanded [H8765]   H2296 us. And when ye had girded [H8799]   H376 on every man H3627 his weapons H4421 of war H1951 , ye were ready [H8686]   H5927 to go up [H8800]   H2022 into the hill.
  42 H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H559 unto me, Say [H8798]   H5927 unto them, Go not up [H8799]   H3898 , neither fight [H8735]   H7130 ; for I am not among H5062 you; lest ye be smitten [H8735]   H6440 before H341 your enemies [H8802]  .
  43 H1696 So I spake [H8762]   H8085 unto you; and ye would not hear [H8804]   H4784 , but rebelled [H8686]   H6310 against the commandment H3068 of the LORD H5927 , and went H2102 presumptuously [H8686]   H5927 up [H8799]   H2022 into the hill.
  44 H567 And the Amorites H3427 , which dwelt [H8802]   H2022 in that mountain H3318 , came out [H8799]   H7125 against [H8800]   H7291 you, and chased [H8799]   H1682 you, as bees H6213 do [H8799]   H3807 , and destroyed [H8686]   H8165 you in Seir H2767 , even unto Hormah.
  45 H7725 And ye returned [H8799]   H1058 and wept [H8799]   H6440 before H3068 the LORD H3068 ; but the LORD H8085 would not hearken [H8804]   H6963 to your voice H238 , nor give ear [H8689]   unto you.
  46 H3427 So ye abode [H8799]   H6946 in Kadesh H7227 many H3117 days H3117 , according unto the days H3427 that ye abode [H8804]   there .

  3 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H705 בארבעים in the fortieth H8141 שׁנה year, H6249 בעשׁתי in the eleventh H6240 עשׂר in the eleventh H2320 חדשׁ month, H259 באחד on the first H2320 לחדשׁ of the month, H1696 דבר spoke H4872 משׁה Moses H413 אל unto H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H3605 ככל according unto all H834 אשׁר that H6680 צוה   H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 אתו   H413 אלהם׃ unto
  4 H310 אחרי After H5221 הכתו he had slain H853 את   H5511 סיחן Sihon H4428 מלך the king H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H834 אשׁר which H3427 יושׁב dwelt H2809 בחשׁבון in Heshbon, H853 ואת   H5747 עוג and Og H4428 מלך the king H1316 הבשׁן of Bashan, H834 אשׁר which H3427 יושׁב dwelt H6252 בעשׁתרת at Astaroth H154 באדרעי׃ in Edrei:
  5 H5676 בעבר On this side H3383 הירדן Jordan, H776 בארץ in the land H4124 מואב of Moab, H2974 הואיל began H4872 משׁה Moses H874 באר to declare H853 את   H8451 התורה law, H2063 הזאת this H559 לאמר׃ saying,
  6 H3068 יהוה The LORD H430 אלהינו our God H1696 דבר spoke H413 אלינו unto H2722 בחרב us in Horeb, H559 לאמר saying, H7227 רב long enough H3427 לכם שׁבת Ye have dwelt H2022 בהר mount: H2088 הזה׃ in this
  7 H6437 פנו Turn H5265 וסעו you, and take your journey, H935 לכם ובאו and go H2022 הר to the mount H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H413 ואל and unto H3605 כל all H7934 שׁכניו nigh H6160 בערבה thereunto, in the plain, H2022 בהר in the hills, H8219 ובשׁפלה and in the vale, H5045 ובנגב and in the south, H2348 ובחוף side, H3220 הים and by the sea H776 ארץ to the land H3669 הכנעני of the Canaanites, H3844 והלבנון and unto Lebanon, H5704 עד unto H5104 הנהר river, H1419 הגדל the great H5104 נהר the river H6578 פרת׃ Euphrates.
  8 H7200 ראה Behold, H5414 נתתי I have set H6440 לפניכם before H853 את   H776 הארץ the land H935 באו you: go in H3423 ורשׁו and possess H853 את   H776 הארץ the land H834 אשׁר which H7650 נשׁבע swore H3068 יהוה the LORD H1 לאבתיכם unto your fathers, H85 לאברהם Abraham, H3327 ליצחק Isaac, H3290 וליעקב and Jacob, H5414 לתת to give H2233 להם ולזרעם unto them and to their seed H310 אחריהם׃ after
  9 H559 ואמר And I spoke H413 אלכם unto H6256 בעת time, H1931 ההוא you at that H559 לאמר saying, H3808 לא   H3201 אוכל   H905 לבדי you myself alone: H5375 שׂאת to bear H853 אתכם׃  
  10 H3068 יהוה The LORD H430 אלהיכם your God H7235 הרבה hath multiplied H853 אתכם   H2009 והנכם you, and, behold, H3117 היום ye this day H3556 ככוכבי as the stars H8064 השׁמים of heaven H7230 לרב׃ for multitude.
  11 H3068 יהוה (The LORD H430 אלהי God H1 אבותכם of your fathers H3254 יסף so many more H5921 עליכם   H505 ככם אלף make you a thousand H6471 פעמים times H1288 ויברך as ye and bless H853 אתכם   H834 כאשׁר you, as H1696 דבר׃ he hath promised
  12 H349 איכה How H5375 אשׂא bear H905 לבדי can I myself alone H2960 טרחכם your encumbrance, H4853 ומשׂאכם and your burden, H7379 וריבכם׃ and your strife?
  13 H3051 הבו Take H582 לכם אנשׁים   H2450 חכמים you wise H995 ונבנים and understanding, H3045 וידעים and known H7626 לשׁבטיכם among your tribes, H7760 ואשׂימם and I will make H7218 בראשׁיכם׃ them rulers
  14 H6030 ותענו And ye answered H853 אתי   H559 ותאמרו me, and said, H2896 טוב good H1697 הדבר The thing H834 אשׁר which H1696 דברת thou hast spoken H6213 לעשׂות׃ to do.
  15 H3947 ואקח So I took H853 את   H7218 ראשׁי the chief H7626 שׁבטיכם of your tribes, H376 אנשׁים men, H2450 חכמים wise H3045 וידעים and known, H5414 ואתן and made H853 אותם   H7218 ראשׁים them heads H5921 עליכם over H8269 שׂרי you, captains H505 אלפים over thousands, H8269 ושׂרי and captains H3967 מאות over hundreds, H8269 ושׂרי and captains H2572 חמשׁים over fifties, H8269 ושׂרי and captains H6235 עשׂרת over tens, H7860 ושׁטרים and officers H7626 לשׁבטיכם׃ among your tribes.
  16 H6680 ואצוה And I charged H853 את   H8199 שׁפטיכם your judges H6256 בעת time, H1931 ההוא at that H559 לאמר saying, H8085 שׁמע Hear H996 בין between H251 אחיכם your brethren, H8199 ושׁפטתם and judge H6664 צדק righteously H996 בין between H376 אישׁ man H996 ובין   H251 אחיו and his brother, H996 ובין   H1616 גרו׃ and the stranger
  17 H3808 לא Ye shall not H5234 תכירו respect H6440 פנים persons H4941 במשׁפט in judgment; H6996 כקטן the small H1419 כגדל as well as the great; H8085 תשׁמעון ye shall hear H3808 לא ye shall not H1481 תגורו be afraid H6440 מפני of the face H376 אישׁ of man; H3588 כי for H4941 המשׁפט the judgment H430 לאלהים God's: H1931 הוא   H1697 והדבר and the cause H834 אשׁר that H7185 יקשׁה is too hard H4480 מכם of the face H7126 תקרבון you, bring H413 אלי unto H8085 ושׁמעתיו׃ me, and I will hear
  18 H6680 ואצוה And I commanded H853 אתכם   H6256 בעת time H1931 ההוא you at that H853 את   H3605 כל all H1697 הדברים the things H834 אשׁר which H6213 תעשׂון׃ ye should do.
  19 H5265 ונסע And when we departed H2722 מחרב   H1980 ונלך we went through H853 את   H3605 כל all H4057 המדבר wilderness, H1419 הגדול great H3372 והנורא and terrible H1931 ההוא that H834 אשׁר which H7200 ראיתם ye saw H1870 דרך by the way H2022 הר of the mountain H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H834 כאשׁר as H6680 צוה commanded H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H853 אתנו   H935 ונבא us; and we came H5704 עד to H6947 קדשׁ ברנע׃ Kadesh-barnea.
  20 H559 ואמר And I said H413 אלכם unto H935 באתם you, Ye are come H5704 עד unto H2022 הר the mountain H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H834 אשׁר which H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H5414 נתן׃ doth give
  21 H7200 ראה Behold, H5414 נתן hath set H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H6440 לפניך before H853 את   H776 הארץ the land H5927 עלה thee: go up H3423 רשׁ possess H834 כאשׁר as H1696 דבר hath said H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהי God H1 אבתיך of thy fathers H408 לך אל not, H3372 תירא unto thee; fear H408 ואל neither H2865 תחת׃ be discouraged.
  22 H7126 ותקרבון And ye came near H413 אלי unto H3605 כלכם me every one H559 ותאמרו of you, and said, H7971 נשׁלחה We will send H376 אנשׁים men H6440 לפנינו before H2658 ויחפרו us, and they shall search us out H853 לנו את   H776 הארץ the land, H7725 וישׁבו and bring H853 אתנו   H1697 דבר us word H853 את   H1870 הדרך way H834 אשׁר again by what H5927 נעלה we must go up, H853 בה ואת   H5892 הערים cities H834 אשׁר what H935 נבא we shall come. H413 אליהן׃ andinto
  23 H3190 וייטב pleased me well: H5869 בעיני pleased me well: H1697 הדבר And the saying H3947 ואקח and I took H4480 מכם of H8147 שׁנים twelve H6240 עשׂר twelve H582 אנשׁים   H376 אישׁ men H259 אחד you, one H7626 לשׁבט׃ of a tribe:
  24 H6437 ויפנו And they turned H5927 ויעלו and went up H2022 ההרה into the mountain, H935 ויבאו and came H5704 עד unto H5158 נחל the valley H812 אשׁכל of Eshcol, H7270 וירגלו   H853 אתה׃  
  25 H3947 ויקחו And they took H3027 בידם in their hands, H6529 מפרי of the fruit H776 הארץ of the land H3381 ויורדו and brought down H413 אלינו unto H7725 וישׁבו us, and brought H853 אתנו   H1697 דבר us word H559 ויאמרו again, and said, H2896 טובה a good H776 הארץ land H834 אשׁר which H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H5414 נתן׃ doth give
  26 H3808 ולא not H14 אביתם Notwithstanding ye would H5927 לעלת go up, H4784 ותמרו but rebelled against H853 את   H6310 פי the commandment H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהיכם׃ your God:
  27 H7279 ותרגנו And ye murmured H168 באהליכם in your tents, H559 ותאמרו and said, H8130 בשׂנאת   H3068 יהוה Because the LORD H853 אתנו   H3318 הוציאנו us, he hath brought us forth H776 מארץ out of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H5414 לתת to deliver H853 אתנו   H3027 ביד us into the hand H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H8045 להשׁמידנו׃ to destroy
  28 H575 אנה Whither H587 אנחנו shall we H5927 עלים go up? H251 אחינו our brethren H4549 המסו have discouraged H853 את   H3824 לבבנו our heart, H559 לאמר saying, H5971 עם The people H1419 גדול greater H7311 ורם and taller H4480 ממנו than H5892 ערים we; the cities H1419 גדלת great H1219 ובצורת and walled H8064 בשׁמים up to heaven; H1571 וגם and moreover H1121 בני the sons H6062 ענקים of the Anakims H7200 ראינו we have seen H8033 שׁם׃ there.
  29 H559 ואמר Then I said H413 אלכם unto H3808 לא not, H6206 תערצון you, Dread H3808 ולא neither H3372 תיראון be afraid H1992 מהם׃  
  30 H3068 יהוה The LORD H430 אלהיכם your God H1980 ההלך which goeth H6440 לפניכם before H1931 הוא you, he H3898 ילחם shall fight H3605 לכם ככל for you, according to all H834 אשׁר that H6213 עשׂה he did H854 אתכם for H4714 במצרים you in Egypt H5869 לעיניכם׃ before your eyes;
  31 H4057 ובמדבר And in the wilderness, H834 אשׁר where H7200 ראית thou hast seen H834 אשׁר how that H5375 נשׂאך bore H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיך thy God H834 כאשׁר thee, as H5375 ישׂא doth bear H376 אישׁ a man H853 את   H1121 בנו his son, H3605 בכל in all H1870 הדרך the way H834 אשׁר that H1980 הלכתם ye went, H5704 עד until H935 באכם ye came H5704 עד into H4725 המקום place. H2088 הזה׃ this
  32 H1697 ובדבר thing H2088 הזה Yet in this H369 אינכם ye did not H539 מאמינם believe H3068 ביהוה the LORD H430 אלהיכם׃ your God,
  33 H1980 ההלך Who went H6440 לפניכם before H1870 בדרך in the way H8446 לתור you, to search you out H4725 לכם מקום a place H2583 לחנתכם to pitch your tents H784 באשׁ in fire H3915 לילה by night, H7200 לראתכם to show H1870 בדרך way H834 אשׁר you by what H1980 תלכו ye should go, H6051 בה ובענן and in a cloud H3119 יומם׃ by day.
  34 H8085 וישׁמע heard H3068 יהוה And the LORD H853 את   H6963 קול the voice H1697 דבריכם of your words, H7107 ויקצף and was wroth, H7650 וישׁבע and swore, H559 לאמר׃ saying,
  35 H518 אם Surely H7200 יראה see H376 אישׁ there shall not one H376 באנשׁים men H428 האלה of these H1755 הדור generation H7451 הרע evil H2088 הזה of this H853 את   H776 הארץ land, H2896 הטובה that good H834 אשׁר which H7650 נשׁבעתי I swore H5414 לתת to give H1 לאבתיכם׃ unto your fathers,
  36 H2108 זולתי Save H3612 כלב Caleb H1121 בן the son H3312 יפנה of Jephunneh; H1931 הוא he H7200 יראנה shall see H5414 ולו אתן it, and to him will I give H853 את   H776 הארץ the land H834 אשׁר that H1869 דרך he hath trodden H1121 בה ולבניו upon, and to his children, H3282 יען because H834 אשׁר because H4390 מלא he hath wholly H310 אחרי followed H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.
  37 H1571 גם Also H599 בי התאנף was angry H3068 יהוה the LORD H1558 בגללכם with me for your sakes, H559 לאמר saying, H1571 גם also H859 אתה Thou H3808 לא shalt not H935 תבא go in H8033 שׁם׃ thither.
  38 H3091 יהושׁע Joshua H1121 בן the son H5126 נון of Nun, H5975 העמד which standeth H6440 לפניך before H1931 הוא thee, he H935 יבא shall go in H8033 שׁמה thither: H853 אתו   H2388 חזק encourage H3588 כי him: for H1931 הוא he H5157 ינחלנה to inherit H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל׃ shall cause Israel
  39 H2945 וטפכם Moreover your little ones, H834 אשׁר which H559 אמרתם ye said H957 לבז a prey, H1961 יהיה should be H1121 ובניכם and your children, H834 אשׁר which H3808 לא had no knowledge H3045 ידעו had no knowledge H3117 היום in that day H2896 טוב between good H7451 ורע and evil, H1992 המה they H935 יבאו shall go in H8033 שׁמה thither, H5414 ולהם אתננה and unto them will I give H1992 והם it, and they H3423 יירשׁוה׃ shall possess
  40 H859 ואתם But you, H6437 פנו turn H5265 לכם וסעו you, and take your journey H4057 המדברה into the wilderness H1870 דרך by the way H3220 ים sea. H5488 סוף׃ of the Red
  41 H6030 ותענו Then ye answered H559 ותאמרו and said H413 אלי unto H2398 חטאנו me, We have sinned H3068 ליהוה against the LORD, H587 אנחנו we H5927 נעלה will go up H3898 ונלחמנו and fight, H3605 ככל according to all H834 אשׁר that H6680 צונו commanded H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהינו our God H2296 ותחגרו us. And when ye had girded on H376 אישׁ every man H853 את   H3627 כלי his weapons H4421 מלחמתו of war, H1951 ותהינו ye were ready H5927 לעלת to go up H2022 ההרה׃ into the hill.
  42 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אלי unto H559 אמר me, Say H3808 להם לא neither H5927 תעלו   H3808 ולא you; lest H3898 תלחמו fight; H3588 כי for H369 אינני I not H7130 בקרבכם among H3808 ולא   H5062 תנגפו ye be smitten H6440 לפני before H341 איביכם׃ your enemies.
  43 H1696 ואדבר So I spoke H413 אליכם unto H3808 ולא you; and ye would not H8085 שׁמעתם hear, H4784 ותמרו but rebelled against H853 את   H6310 פי the commandment H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H2102 ותזדו and went presumptuously up H5927 ותעלו and went presumptuously up H2022 ההרה׃ into the hill.
  44 H3318 ויצא came out H567 האמרי And the Amorites, H3427 הישׁב which dwelt H2022 בהר mountain, H1931 ההוא in that H7125 לקראתכם against H7291 וירדפו you, and chased H853 אתכם   H834 כאשׁר you, as H6213 תעשׂינה do, H1682 הדברים bees H3807 ויכתו and destroyed H853 אתכם   H8165 בשׂעיר you in Seir, H5704 עד unto H2767 חרמה׃ Hormah.
  45 H7725 ותשׁבו And ye returned H1058 ותבכו and wept H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה the LORD; H3808 ולא would not H8085 שׁמע hearken H3068 יהוה but the LORD H6963 בקלכם to your voice, H3808 ולא nor H238 האזין give ear H413 אליכם׃ unto
  46 H3427 ותשׁבו So ye abode H6946 בקדשׁ in Kadesh H3117 ימים days, H7227 רבים many H3117 כימים according unto the days H834 אשׁר that H3427 ישׁבתם׃ ye abode
