Jeremiah 20:1-6 Now Pashur the son of Immer the priest , who was also chief governor in the house of the LORD , heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things.

2 H6583 Then Pashur H5221 smote [H8686] H3414 Jeremiah H5030 the prophet H5414 , and put [H8799] H4115 him in the stocks H5945 that were in the high H8179 gate H1144 of Benjamin H1004 , which was by the house H3068 of the LORD.

3 H4283 And it came to pass on the morrow H6583 , that Pashur H3318 brought forth [H8686] H3414 Jeremiah H4115 out of the stocks H559 . Then said [H8799] H3414 Jeremiah H3068 unto him, The LORD H7121 hath not called [H8804] H8034 thy name H6583 Pashur H4036 , but Magormissabib.

4 H559 For thus saith [H8804] H3068 the LORD H5414 , Behold, I will make [H8802] H4032 thee a terror H157 to thyself, and to all thy friends [H8802] H5307 : and they shall fall [H8804] H2719 by the sword H341 of their enemies [H8802] H5869 , and thine eyes H7200 shall behold [H8802] H5414 it : and I will give [H8799] H3063 all Judah H3027 into the hand H4428 of the king H894 of Babylon H1540 , and he shall carry them captive [H8689] H894 into Babylon H5221 , and shall slay [H8689] H2719 them with the sword.

5 H5414 Moreover I will deliver [H8804] H2633 all the strength H5892 of this city H3018 , and all the labours H3366 thereof, and all the precious things H214 thereof, and all the treasures H4428 of the kings H3063 of Judah H5414 will I give [H8799] H3027 into the hand H341 of their enemies [H8802] H962 , which shall spoil [H8804] H3947 them, and take [H8804] H935 them, and carry [H8689] H894 them to Babylon.

6 H6583 And thou, Pashur H3427 , and all that dwell [H8802] H1004 in thine house H3212 shall go [H8799] H7628 into captivity H935 : and thou shalt come [H8799] H894 to Babylon H4191 , and there thou shalt die [H8799] H6912 , and shalt be buried [H8735] H157 there, thou, and all thy friends [H8802] H5012 , to whom thou hast prophesied [H8738] H8267 lies.
