1 Chronicles 15:12-16 and said to them, You are the heads of your fathers of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brothers, and you shall bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel, to the place I have prepared for it.

LITV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹² and said to them, You are the heads of your fathers of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brothers, and you shall bring up the ark of Jehovah, the God of Israel, to the place I have prepared for it. ¹³ Because you did not do so at the first, Jehovah our God broke in against us, for we did not seek Him according to the ordinance. ¹⁴ And the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Jehovah the God of Israel. ¹⁵ And the sons of the Levites carried the ark of God, as Moses commanded, according to the word of Jehovah, by staves above on the shoulders. ¹⁶ And David commanded the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers with instruments of song, psalteries, and harps, and sounding cymbals, to lift up the voice with joy.
