21 And they asked him, saying, Teacher, we know that you say and teach correctly, and do not accept the countenance of men, but in truth, are teaching the way of God.
22 Is it legal for us to give tax to Caesar or not?
23 But he perceived their craftiness and said to them, Why are you testing me? 24 Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription has it?
But they answered and said, Caesar’s.
25 But he said to them, Now-then, give to Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and to God the things which are God’s. 26 And they were not strong-enough to grasp his declaration in front of the people, and they marveled at his answer and were silent.
