Worrell⁽ⁱ⁾ ²¹ And they asked Him, saying, "Teacher, we know that Thou sayest and teachest rightly, and regardest no person, but teachest the way of God in truth. ²² Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar, or not?" ²³ But, perceiving their craftiness, He said to them, ²⁴ "Show Me a denary. Whose image and inscription has it?" And, answering; they said, "Caesar's." ²⁵ And He said to them, "Then, render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." ²⁶ And they were not able to lay hold of any saying of His before the people; and, marvelling at His answer, they were silent.
