Psalms 37

MLV(i) 1 Do not inflame yourself because of evildoers, nor be envious against those who work unrighteousness. 2 Because they will soon be cut down like the grass and wither as the green herb.
Trust in Jehovah and do good. Dwell in the land and feed on his faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself also in Jehovah and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to Jehovah. Trust also in him and he will do it. 6 And he will make your righteousness to go forth as the light and your justice as the noon-day.
Rest in Jehovah and wait patiently for him. Do not inflame yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked devices.
Cease from anger and forsake wrath. Do not inflame yourself, it leads only to evil-doing. 9 Because evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for Jehovah, they will inherit the land.
Yet a little while and the wicked man will not be. Yes, you will diligently consider his place and he will not be.
But the meek will inherit the land and will delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
The wicked man plots against the righteous man and gnashes upon him with his teeth. 13 The Lord will laugh at him, because he sees that his day is coming.
The wicked have drawn out the sword and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill such as are upright in the way. 15 Their sword will enter into their own heart and their bows will be broken.
Better is a little that the righteous man has than the abundance of many wicked men. 17 Because the arms of the wicked will be broken, but Jehovah upholds the righteous. 18 Jehovah knows the days of the perfect and their inheritance will be everlasting.
They will not be put to shame in the time of evil and in the days of famine they will be satisfied.
Because the wicked will perish and the enemies of Jehovah are as the fat of lambs: they will disintegrate; they will disintegrate away into smoke. 21 The wicked man borrows and pays not again, but the righteous man deals graciously and gives.
Because such as are blessed by him will inherit the land and those who are cursed by him will be cut off.
A man's goings are established by Jehovah and he delights in his way. 24 Because if he falls, he will not be utterly cast down, because Jehovah upholds him with his hand.
I have been young and now am old, yet I have not seen a righteous man forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 26 All the day long he deals graciously and lends and his seed is blessed.
Depart from evil and do good and dwell everlasting. 28 Because Jehovah loves justice and does not forsake his holy ones. They are preserved everlasting, but the seed of the wicked will be cut off.
The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.
The mouth of a righteous man talks of wisdom and his tongue speaks justice. 31 The law of his God is in his heart. None of his steps will slide.
A wicked man watches a righteous man and seeks to kill him. 33 Jehovah will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
Wait for Jehovah and keep his way and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When sinners are cut off, you will see it.
I have seen a wicked man in great power and spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil. 36 But I passed by, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.
Keep as the perfect man and behold the upright, because there is a happy end to the man of peace. 38 As for transgressors, they will be destroyed together. The end of the wicked will be cut off. 39 But the salvation of the righteous is from Jehovah. He is their stronghold in the time of trouble, 40 and Jehovah helps them and rescues them. He rescues them from sinners and saves them, because they have taken refuge in him.
