66 And soon as it was day, the national senate, with the chief priests, and the Scribes, convened. And having caused him to be brought up before their Sanhedrim, they said,
67 Art thou the Christ? Tell us. Whereupon he said to them, If I tell you, you will not believe me.
68 And if I ask you a question, you will not answer me, nor dismiss me.
69 From this time the son of man will be seated on the right hand of the power of God.
70 Thereupon they all said, Thou then art the son of God? And he said to them, It is as you say.
71 Then they said, what farther need have we of testimony? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth.
23 1 Then the whole assembly arose and led him away to Pilate,
2 and began to accuse him, saying, We found this man perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ, a king.
3 Thereupon Pilate asked him, saying, Thou art the king of the Jews? And he, in reply, said to him, It is as thou sayest.
4 Then Pilate said to the chief priests, and the people, I find nothing criminal in this man.
5 But they were the more vehement, saying, He raiseth sedition among the people, teaching through all Judea, from Galilee, where he began, even to this place.
