Luke 22:66-23:5

Worsley(i) 66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people, and chief-priests, and scribes, assembled together, and ordered Him up into their council: 67 and said to Him, Art thou the Messiah? tell us. And He said unto them, If I should tell you, ye would not believe: 68 and if I should put any question to you, ye would not answer me, nor discharge me. 69 But hereafter shall the Son of man be seated on the right hand of the power of God. 70 And they all said, Art thou then the Son of God? 71 And He said unto them, I am. And they said, What need have we of any farther evidence? when we ourselves have it from his own mouth? 23 1 Then they all rose up and led Him to Pilate. 2 And they began to accuse Him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbiding to give tribute to Cesar; saying, that He himself is Christ the king. 3 And Pilate asked Him, saying, Art thou the king of the Jews? And He answered him and said, I am as thou sayest. 4 But Pilate said to the chief priests, and to the people, I find nothing criminal in this man. 5 Then they were more vehement, saying, He stirreth up the people to sedition, spreading his doctrine throughout all Judea: having begun at Galilee and come even to this place.
