Numbers 22:22-33 And God's anger was kindled because he went : and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his donkey , and his two servants were with him.

23 H860 And the donkey H7200 [H8799] saw H4397 the angel H3068 of the LORD H5324 [H8737] standing H1870 in the way H2719 , and his sword H8025 [H8803] drawn H3027 in his hand H860 : and the donkey H5186 [H8799] turned aside H1870 out of the way H3212 [H8799] , and went H7704 into the field H1109 : and Balaam H5221 [H8686] smote H860 the donkey H5186 [H8687] , to turn H1870 her into the way.

24 H4397 But the angel H3068 of the LORD H5975 [H8799] stood H4934 in a path H3754 of the vineyards H1447 , a wall H1447 being on this side, and a wall on that side.

25 H860 And when the donkey H7200 [H8799] saw H4397 the angel H3068 of the LORD H3905 [H8735] , she thrust H7023 herself against the wall H3905 [H8799] , and crushed H1109 Balaam's H7272 foot H7023 against the wall H5221 [H8687] : and he smote H3254 [H8686] her again.

26 H4397 And the angel H3068 of the LORD H5674 [H8800] went H3254 [H8686] further H5975 [H8799] , and stood H6862 in a narrow H4725 place H1870 , where was no way H5186 [H8800] to turn H3225 either to the right hand H8040 or to the left.

27 H860 And when the donkey H7200 [H8799] saw H4397 the angel H3068 of the LORD H7257 [H8799] , she fell down H1109 under Balaam H1109 : and Balaam's H639 anger H2734 [H8799] was kindled H5221 [H8686] , and he smote H860 the donkey H4731 with a staff.

28 H3068 And the LORD H6605 [H8799] opened H6310 the mouth H860 of the donkey H559 [H8799] , and she said H1109 to Balaam H6213 [H8804] , What have I done H5221 [H8689] to thee, that thou hast smitten H7969 me these three H7272 times?

29 H1109 And Balaam H559 [H8799] said H860 to the donkey H5953 [H8694] , Because thou hast mocked H3863 me: I would H3426 there were H2719 a sword H3027 in my hand H2026 [H8804] , for now would I kill thee.

30 H860 And the donkey H559 [H8799] said H1109 to Balaam H860 , Am not I thy donkey H7392 [H8804] , upon which thou hast rid H3117 ever since I was thine to this day H5532 [H8687] ? was I ever H5532 [H8689] accustomed H6213 [H8800] to do so H559 [H8799] to thee? And he said, Nay.

31 H3068 Then the LORD H1540 [H8762] opened H5869 the eyes H1109 of Balaam H7200 [H8799] , and he saw H4397 the angel H3068 of the LORD H5324 [H8737] standing H1870 in the way H2719 , and his sword H8025 [H8803] drawn H3027 in his hand H6915 [H8799] : and he bowed down H7812 [H8691] his head, and fell flat H639 on his face.

32 H4397 And the angel H3068 of the LORD H559 [H8799] said H5221 [H8689] to him, Why hast thou smitten H860 thy donkey H7969 these three H7272 times H3318 [H8804] ? behold, I went out H7854 to withstand H1870 thee, because thy way H3399 [H8804] is perverse before me:

33 H860 And the donkey H7200 [H8799] saw H5186 [H8799] me, and turned H6440 from me H7969 these three H7272 times H194 : unless H5186 [H8804] she had turned H6440 from me H2026 [H8804] , surely now also I had slain H2421 [H8689] thee, and saved her alive.
