¹ Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, you also arm yourselves with the same mind, because he who suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

¹⁶ Wash, and be clean; remove your iniquities from your souls before My eyes; cease from your iniquities;

⁴¹ And they shall burn your houses with fire, and shall execute vengeance on you in the sight of many women; and I will turn you back from harlotry, and I will no more give you rewards.

² Certainly not! We died to sin--How shall we live any longer in it?

⁷ For he who has died has been justified from sin.

¹¹ Likewise you also, consider yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹² The night is advanced, the day is at hand. Therefore let us put off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. ¹³ Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelries and drinking bouts, not in orgies and debaucheries, not in strife and jealousy. ¹⁴ But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.

²⁴ And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

¹³ Because of this, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having accomplished all things, to stand.

⁵ Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,

³ For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ Whenever Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. ⁵ Therefore put to death your members on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.

¹⁰ For he who has entered into His rest also rested himself from his works, as God did from His own.

³ For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you be weary and discouraged in your souls.

¹⁸ For Christ also suffered once to atone for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring you to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit,
